It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
The UB one is viable for standard. I guess we take Perilous Vault to the board then.

Passable mana rocks for Standard though likely too slow. Very good mana fixers for splash colors and can double as a mana sink finisher in limited. Also, very good in Tiny Leaders for various control builds.
Overall a decent uncommon cycle. Foils will likely be coveted.
I feel like cards such as these are printed to only matter in the limited environment. This is especially true since there will be a less options for mana fixing in draft now unless you get really lucky.

Meh.....these rocks had potential to be really awesome. I think these are a waste of design space to be honest. The fact that they made each one basically the same is really annoying. Still, my disappointment doesn't take away my excitement for the rest of the set.
Man these are boring, this is why I don't like more than one big set per block. wizards doesn't have enough time to design enough cards for it, so they take the easy way out and just copy and paste. Thank goodness for the new block structure coming up.
Sadly, Wizards isn't allowed to print actual good mana rocks these days. They have decided that mana rocks at 2cc steps on green's toes a little too hard, and that not every color should have access to good mana acceleration. It makes sense, and I get it, but it is just one more thing to miss from the good old days~ Maybe if we're good, they'll print something at 2cc when we head back to new phyrexia.
As far as EDH-worthy mana rocks go, the Keyrunes weren't great, neither were the Totems, and these seem slower and less efficient than either.
Depends on the EDH environment. If you're looking to sneak in some quick early damage or (or early defense), then these are worthless. But late game these are far more relevant. I'm more likely to be in an EDH game that goes long where a "surprise" 4/4 flyer could help out (where a random 2/2 first strike or whatever wouldn't). [[that said, love the time spiral cycle especially the Weatherseed Treefolk totem!]]
Why not just play PLA or hexproof Silumgar? I don't really see the advantage to playing this and spending 6 mana every time you want to activate it.
Well, yeah, PLA and Silumgar don't make you pay mana every turn to turn them into creatures, but they also don't come down on turn 3 and accelerate your mana. The cool thing about one of these (similar to the Zendikar manlands) is that you can run them in a control deck and not even worry about devoting more spots to a finisher, since this serves as mana and an eventual win condition. [[the zendikar manlands are better for this though, being lands and all.]]

3 mana is too much for a mana rock outside of EDH, right? In EDH, I like the late game relevance these have over other mana sources.

These add 2 colors of mana (but I agree are still underwhelming, at least outside of limited or EDH).
Their colors matter now already. I doubt BFZ will be ally colored themed.
