I think this card is a player in control decks. It gives UB resilience to having their hexproof dragon dealt with, and provides recursion for an expensive sweeper. I'm excited to see the types of control that emerge from the new set with this card. UW could be quite strong, or maybe an esper build. They will want to increase slightly the amount of dragons they play so that new blue counterspell works well for them...
It's powerful and flavourful/cool at the same time.
A little bit too powerful perhaps, but I can see why they'd want to do that. Looks like a Ugin deck was put together for players to buy, and it's going to cost a LOT. But it'll actually be competitive, looks like. Not to mention the card is perfect in any Dragon deck, as-is.
Kinda makes you wonder why Treva even needed those Ruins at all!
EDIT: As an Elf, I must say, we Elves should have a land like this. Most of us are green anyway, but come on, we're the mana-fixers in this game, we should at least have an Elf land that fixes mana as well as the Slivers, Elementals, and Dragons do! Don't make us get our arrows!!
I don't understand... an Ugin deck? I don't think "Dragugins" will be a player in standard... though dragon cards for EDH have been skyrocketing.
Also, elves do have a Elf-land, it's called place where all the elves live and can be cast from. If you're worried about neat effects, Gaea's Cradle and Pendlehaven have that locked up pretty tightly. Temple Garden basically casts every elf anyways, as the elvish race lie primarily in the Green and White slice of the color pie. There are a few exceptions, but because the whole color pie belongs to the races you mentioned I highly doubt that they would ever print an elf-specific land like you describe.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Consider my mind blown. I had totally forgotten about tomb of the spirit dragon. The same location between times has been depicted on three cards now. What is so amusing is that tomb is sooooo bad(solid in an artifact deck?) that I had forgotten it existed. So the cycle went from super bad to Pretty bad to Amazing.

Was there even a reason to print Crucible of the Spirit Dragon if they had this in the bag for DTK? If they wanted to represent an injured planeswalker in a regenerative cocoon, couldn't they have made it similar to Safe Haven? Anyway, this one is actually useful and will end up being unpleasantly expensive if a dragon deck makes it big in Standard, particularly once Mana Confluence rotates.
Doesn't this put the final nail in the coffin for those still hoping for a fetch reprint?
umm no not at all theres probably still spots they could print them. i havent check the number crunch and tbh i couldnt care less if they reprint more fetches. if anything id like random fetches to show up like in fate packs bc its always nice opening stupid expensive cards and then going oh sweet a delta
On the card thats awesome. if silumgar becomes playable grabbing ugin and going -x now you can get it back. the ability to grab something like destructor dragon is also freaking sweet. im probably to have to find a couple spots for my rg dragon stompy i plan to build when dragons comes out. Its really funny seeing pw types mentioned on cards but im totally loving this land. given this is 1 of 3 tribal lands in standard thats right theres a sliver tribal land thats standard, this one auctually feels playable even without the ugin ability
Okay, this card is really cool, and the flavor of this and Crucible is amazing. Crucible uses storage counters because it's while Ugin is healing in the cocoon, and this doesn't because he's recovered. Excellent work, Wizards.

seriously, this made me wonder what the heck happened over in R&D
did they decide that dragon tribal was getting too much support from two lands and at the last gave one the ol Archangel's Light treatment? but really, why not just cut the silly card?
edit: ah snikeys yeah I am forgetting the forgettable tomb, disregard all that
looking at tomb, there would have been clear ways to take the dragon tribe out of it, I mean, tomb didn't do anything dragon tribal anyway

Same mistake for the same reason, never even noticed that last spoiler season either, the cards were such stinkers
I TOTALLY CALLED THIS! My friends were giving me crap because they had already printed a dragon land, but I was like " theres no way, I mean look at sliver hive" also, dragons are almost definitley more popular than slivers, wizards has to give us something better than this.... and i was right
Dragon's in DTK Limited (Draft)!!! Need to start thinking of draft pick dragons now that we got this land. It's a good third pick. In any case, nice to open one of these in a pack, as it would still be useful in any multi-colored dragon deck.
You're monogreen, you should be happy with Gaea's Cradle!
All we've sadly confirmed is that The Allied fetches are for sure out. No new versions.
What I'm hoping is with this land finally spoiled (and there's been a prediction for a third spirit dragon land for a while now) is they they will finally give us the basics and or any other lands.
but how do you play a dragon tribal without a 3 mana drop?
I still hope we'll get a 2 mana and 3 mana dragon u.u
that could be fun even in modern. Thunderbreak regent and thundermaw hellkite are solid drops.
Doesn't this put the final nail in the coffin for those still hoping for a fetch reprint?
I think we are probably past the point of enemy fetches being likely, but there is still a very slim chance. Since none of the names of fetches fall between these land names (Evolving and Haven), they could have only 10 basics and 1 land before Evolving wilds (Arid Mesa) if Vial ends up being number 246 instead of the assumed number 247.
It is a very outside chance, but until we get the number of basics or the collector number for Vial of Dragonfire, we won't know for sure.
My personal opinion is that the current assumptions of numbers and quantity of basics is probably correct, but we won't really know for sure until the end of the week.
I thought it was pretty much a given that there will be no enemy fetches in DTK ever since they announced Battle for Zendikar, it makes a whole lot more sense to reprint them in a Zendikar set.
I agree that Zendikar is the most likely place to print them. I was just pointing out that it isn't necessarily ruled out for Dragons, even if it is extremely unlikely.

This land is pretty awesome and I'm glad Sorin is finally going to have his tea. This may sound crazy but with the never before seen Ugin art at the pax panel, the dtk colorless section on the home site, and this card could it be possible that we could maybe see Ugin again in this set? (even if it is a reprint with new art). Highly unlikely but I'll keep my fingers crossed. . .
I'm pleased this art made it to a card. Was so upset when we never got the Elspeth murdered by Heliod art on a card. I love this art too, it's like "you live, my old friend!" Aww, reunion at long last. Now for war alongside eachother once more in October.

You got the rankings wrong - Crucible of the Spirit Dragon is one of the worst lands ever printed. Tomb is MUCH better.
Anyway, this card is pretty great. I think it actually has constructed potential in any control deck that runs Ugin, Silumgar, Elder Ojutai, or Elder Silumgar (all possibilities for U/B or U/W control). How is your opponent supposed to win if you drop an Ugin with this land in play?

Interestingly that is definitely the same rock behind Sarkhan that has been in all three 'of the Spirit Dragon' card arts.
