Even though I have craploads of Zendikar and Unhinged full-art lands I'm still really excited about new ones in Battle For Zendikar. Doesn't hurt that Zendikar is one of my favorite blocks and planes.
This will be the first real set of the new two-set block paradigm. I'm curious about how many planeswalkers are going to be in the entire block (3 in the large set, 2 in the small?) My guess: Nahiri, Sorin, Kiora, Nissa, and Gideon will be the five. I don't know how they'll be distributed between the two sets, though
Just bought a new house the end of last year & still need to do the yard & basement.
Yet in the next 6 months we have:
A set largely composed of dragons
MM2
The final core set with all sorts of goodies
Finally followed up by Zendikar 2.0.
Not mention the supplemental products I usually pick up in between like Commander, etc. I can usually take or leave some sets or blocks, but I don't want to pass on any of this.
Looks like I'd better hit gold when I start digging my fence posts, lol.
Pretty stoked for this. I started playing in Innistrad block, but I really liked the adventure world flavor of Zendikar. I'm hoping they still have that feel, even with the whole Eldrazi thing.
Zendikar is the block I started playing in so it will be strangely sweet to have come full circle already for me. Not a surprise for anybody as this was telegraphed long ago with the fetches in Khans and the Ulgin storyline. I had no idea how fondly everybody regards Zendikar, but the hype around this block puts it on the same level as Ravnica and Innistrad I'd be safe to say. Landfall will be back for sure.
This is gonna be awesome. Dragons vs. Eldrazi. Bring it!

I really hope they introduce colorless basic lands on Zendikar. Maybe Eldrazi-flavored (but generic enough to facilitate reprints). That and Landfall and enemy manlands are my wish list.
Maybe the Eldrazi are responsible for the colorless lands. Could be Ugin attempting to heal Zendikar that creates it. It's very interesting design space and I'm eager to see how they do it, mechanically and flavor-wise.
I swear I first read it as Wingbonger...something tells me that "As Long as Wingbonger is paired with another creature, both creatures have weed." wouldn't be as good. Seems solid for limited.
I'd actually be happier (story wise) if there were more than 3 eldrazi lineages sealed, and more have come back, or that Ulamog's have mutated, or that Ugin brings them back. One of the cool things about the Eldrazi was seeing 3 different bloodlines with very different aesthetics.
Back in the Uncharted Realms they did about Nahiri, Ugin specifically said that there were "three true Eldrazi loose in the Multiverse." It doesn't seem likely that there would be another one loosed all of the sudden. What could happen is that they could spend Battle for Zendikar sealing Ulamog (who seems the be the only one of the three still remaining thereon), and then spend future blocks tracking down Kozilek and Emrakul.
I'm guessing we'll see Gideon, Nissa, Kiora, and Nahiri for sure. Sorin and Ugin did just get PW cards in KTK block, though I'm aware that a certain PW has gotten back-to-back block representation before. Funnily enough, that same PW is also the first to get more than one PW card in the same block.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Lets not forget that they'll introduce new walkers. Nissa, Gideon, Chandra, and Jace are in Origins while Sarkhan and Ugin are in KTK block. I doubt they would put all of them to print again so quickly. We know Gideon is out looking for help and Kiora is gathering large minions. Nahiri could be possible but don't forget that Ob Nixilis is still lurking about on Zendikar trying to do dastardly things to get his spark back.
What are the odds of us seeing that image of Gideon on his PW card? Do the early images of PW characters during spoilers usually make it onto cards? I hope so.
Right. He's probably going to be our black PW for BfZ block, with Nahiri as the white and Nissa as the green. Which leaves the prospect of blue and red representatives; Kiora's core color is blue and like Nissa and Nahiri she is native to Zendikar. Red is a tougher call; could be Chandra but she doesn't seem too concerned about the whole Eldrazi mess and we just got two Sarkhans in KTK block; a third in Standard would be just plain overkill. Let us not forget though that the Origins planeswalkers are stated to be playing a major role in the storyline very soon. We know that at least one of them, Nissa, seems highly appropriate for the upcoming block.

As for the walkers: Νissa, Sorin and Gideon will be in 100%. Now, Kiora must be in too and the final one depends on next week's Uncharted Realm.
If Ugin does live and places Sarkhan as the keeper of balance in Tarkir, then it will be the great Dragon. If, on the other hand, he is dead and Sarkhan absorbs his soul or whatever, then be prepared for anether set with our favorite dragonman.
No really, I hope we see traps, allies, landfall, manlands, expeditions, maybe a reworked level up... this will be good!
