I think it looks like a scan, not a graphics file, if that lends any credibility to it. But it's not possible that they do any kind of reprint without changing the set symbol, right? It hasn't been done since Chronicles afaik. There are some promos with the set symbol, but doing that many years after the set doesn't make any sense.
Unrelated, I'm hoping for an Elesh reprint somewhere.
Yeah, with the original set symbol, this isn't a reprint. She could still be getting a reprint; but with the old set symbol, this is not it. This is just such a ridiculously vague teaser that it's impossible to know anything about it for sure. Hell, for all we know this could be a teaser that the Praetor Council are the big bad's in the Magic Movie.
That bottom half could contain many hints, such as:
- the new frame, with the black border coming in sooner
- a Phyrexian watermark (or not)
- the name of the set (especially interesting if it's not New Phyrexia)
Both of those might give away what we're looking at right now.
I don't see why everyone shouts fake, the guy obviously got his hands on a test print given his track record. There's no benefit for him to troll anyone.
After looking closely at the color surrounding the expansion symbol, it doesn't match the rest. You can see what appears to be a rectangle shaped cut-out area that includes the symbol but the entire small section is a different shade of white than surrounds it.
Since it was Brian that posted it, there is almost no chance this is fake.
So, the question is, what does it mean? I think the most obvious possibility is that the Praetors will be the "second" Mythics for each color in Modern Masters 2, just like the Kamaigawa Dragons were in MM1.
EDIT: The reason he won't show the bottom is because it probably says Modern Masters Test Print or something similar.

they posted an announcement yesterday about the PAX panel saying it will be streamed live. Part of the announcement was saying this "...details about Modern Masters 2015 Edition, and an announcement we don't even dare tell you about until it happens." Could this be part of the special announcement?
When is this Pax panel supposed to happen, anyway? I looked around but couldn't find an exact answer.
Now I'm really eager to see what this is all about.
It appears to be happening today at 3PM Eastern Time.
It's notable that he also posted an Ulamog a few weeks ago. It had the new font and the mana cost was incorrectly printed at 10. Same deal where he only showed the top half of the card, but I don't think the set symbol was visible.
Gotta echo an earlier sentiment and say Cube. Bottom of card has gold border (the way Mishra's Toy Factory has only bottom silver-border). Also helps explain why they released the Cube Vault, a ridiculously narrow product line for MAYBE .1% of the playerbase.
What kind of product would this card be reprinted but keep the original set symbol? A entirely new product or a Event Deck set in the New Phyrexia world?
Clearly a fake. Image quality is too high for a photograph and there's literally no reason not to show the bottom. No card is going to be reprinted with the same set symbol.

I second this. People have been clamoring for a cube product for some time now. Reprinting the cards in a form that would make them non-tourney legal would help WOTC to get some cash from people who want the rare cube cards but don't want to fork the hundreds of dollars for legit copies. I know several cube owners who printed proxies of the cards they want to cube but didn't have the money to buy real copies. Printing non-tourney legal copies satisfies these people, as well as maintaining the price of the "real" cards for their owners.

However, I continue to try and I continue, indefatigably, to reach out. There’s no way I can single-handedly save the world or, perhaps, even make a perceptible difference - but how ashamed I would be to let a day pass without making one more effort. -- Isaac Asimov
Just for future reference, the Event Decks use the expansion symbol from the original set, which is what I was initially thinking this might be from until the whole Test Print revelation.
I'm not sure that is the original NP set symbol from what I can tell looking at the screen. The original symbol did not have white highlights between the black and orange. It could be there but I don't have a card infront of me atm. The image is most likely a scan because it does have a moiré pattern.
It's not a fake I will tell you that. I've been in the community for a number of years and have a very good reputation to go along with it. I don't deal or post fakes because it's not worth any ones time to bother looking at them. Yes the Ulamog was a test print and so is this card.
So, the question is, what does it mean? I think the most obvious possibility is that the Praetors will be the "second" Mythics for each color in Modern Masters 2, just like the Kamaigawa Dragons were in MM1.
I think Elesh Norn is a likely inclusion whether the other Praetors are in or not. Is there any reason to believe there needs to be a complete Mythic cycle as an analogue to the Kamigawa dragons? The dragons were in the first Modern Masters to fill out the Mythic slots, because there were very few already-mythic cards available for reprint. That's not the case this time, and in fact there are plenty of important cards that are already Mythic that could be reprinted instead. For instance, we already know green is getting Tarmogoyf at mythic. If the "second" green card is Vorinclex, that means no Vengevine, Lotus Cobra, or Master of the Wild Hunt (I mean, obviously they couldn't do all three if they were sticking to only two mythics per colour, but I'd at least like to see one). As the most played member of the cycle (citation needed), Elesh Norn could easily be justified without the other four.

Can you give use even the most remote of hints as to what set it's from?
There are 2 major possibilities on why Wizards are printing this: It's either in MM2015 and the symbol is wrong only because it's a test print anyway.
OR, you read it here first, Wizards are doing a special print run of top cards in new frames but with original set symbols and intend to insert them randomly into Battle for Zendikar packs as the hidden treasures!
Someone else mentioned this, but I was daydreaming about a product that held all gold cards of the highest power level. What is Wizard's policy on gold cards anyway? They haven't been around for many years, right?
Edit: I just looked at mishra's toy workshop and the TOP is silver. Oh well. Gold cards remain off the menu.

You said it wasn't in Origins in the group and there's no more core sets after that obviously. So I take it that it was decided that they wouldn't release it in whatever set it was tested for?
Just because a card is tested for a specific thing doesn't mean it will be in the set they were testing it for. My guess is they wanted to try different style cards such as an Eldrazi which has the picture going under the frame of the card as well as a normal style card and a few others.
