Why is this not a Ainok? I like this one a lot and I think I like megamorph better than regular morph (except the name) Late game there is more of a reason to cast them down since they will be a bigger creature that way.
Wandering wolf with an expensive upside is not where I want to be at any point in a game of magic.
This is my impression too. Morph is so painfully slow an inefficient for constructed that if the non-morph option isn't efficient or the card isn't an effect giant for its cost, its probably not going anywhere. Its a very tame witness, bumping from 3 cmc to 5 cmc in total, its not like witness is the kind of effect that gets massively better by splitting the payment up. I mean tiago was just doing an impression at 2 CMC in a standard not so long ago, this is a far cry from that busted
I actually am thinking this and Wildcall would work together. Wildcall is guarenteed on-curve creature for fast green beatdown. If you hit this, you can have a nicer for of evasion, and bring back a creature. Adding that deathtouch guy that reanimates on a flip and you could create an interest green morph deck..
Witness this is not because blink shenanigans don't work. Cool card though. Slap a sword on her and the token player can't chump her. Does work early and late. I approve.
Why on earth does this have a Temur watermark?
Have they just given up entirely on following any sort of guidelines there?
Or are the guidelines just incredibly stupid?

R&D's brains must have melted. How much design space are they trying to save if their new mechanic is morph...with a +1/+1 counter unmorphing? Holy Jesus. None of these cards will see play outside limited, and morph is already super boring (and slow) there.

It has the Atarka/Temur watermark because of the fact it's green and that's the primary color of said clan. It is also part of a cycle as Jukai said. The rest probably have the same water marks for their respective clans.
Megamorph, morph, and manifest are all boring and annoying to keep track of mechanics.
The only problem is that you have to differentiate between manifest creatures and other face-down creatures. So, unless you are mixing manifest cards with morphs/megamorphs in the same deck, there isn't much to keep track of.

It just makes limited super annoying to keep track of.
Got a hoardling outburst? Going to need tokens of some sort. Manifest? Better grab a manifest card somewhere. Morph and megamorph in your deck, gotta differentiate with a separate token! Wait... did you choose Khans or Dragons for your siege card? I'll grab a slip of paper and we can keep track of that too.
Definitely one of the more chaotic limited formats. But oh so fun at the same time.

There are no tokens for megamorph, so at least one thing isn't as bad

You do not see the difference between a mega morh and a normal moph while it is face down (MaRo said in his column that the first version of mega morph put the counter already on the face down creature, but they didn't like it because you would know which morphs are normal and which are the new ones, so they changed it so that you do not jnow if a morph is normal or new).
And in limited you will have only Manifest and megamorph - Khans of Tarkir won't be drafted with the new set (except if you make a custom draft structure with your playgroup - at least officially they are never drafted together)

Not to mention, your deck gains Anticipate as a way to finally set up Manifest properly.
How? Anticipate doesn't put anything on top of your deck.
The effects on the morphs are cool, but theres still the inherent problem of morph that ALL the morph cards cost you 3 mana , which is a lot to simply get a 2/2 ; thats just horrible in standard and so is a deck full of morphs, which fill up your 3 mana slot like a landslide.
This cards would be way more usefull if you could play them and turn them face-down for a cost, then face-up for another cost at least 1 time (say turn them face down at any time, megamorph them face-up if they dont have a +1/+1 counter to get the effect).
But as it stands, morph is just a stupid bad mechanic for constructed, while it works in Limited (at least to give you plenty of pseudo vanilla 2/2 for 3).
And theres probably not a single person that doesnt look at "mega"-morph and feels the name is just stupid ...
How did that survive development ? The name is just uterly bad ...
Didn't see it mentioned, but did anybody notice her freaking child is on he back carried in a papoose? How bad ass is she? She fights to protect her baby? I want this warrior mom to be named as a Legendary creature right away. My favorite art of the set so far easily. So rad.

We could have at least gotten a card for each color that reduces the cost of morphing by 1 or 2 and has some alt cost to flip them over for like 3 or 4 to flip them face up or face down. Failed attempt wizards morph already was rough enough having to pay 3 extra for your creature, but what is with most of the morph costs being more than the creatures CMC for not that big of a deal..... OH WAIT, Tom MF LaPile was on the team for this set. And he gave us that wonderful CawBlade meta, His claim that it was the Best Standard environment ever.......

currently playing:
legacy: Doomsday, Dredge, BUG (shard less and still)
modern: storm, woo dredge, U-tron
EDH: maelstrom wanderer, Gisela, krenko, lazav, sharrum, sheoldred/xiahou dun, norin the wary, Thrax, Mimeoplasm, GW legends
There really needs to be a land in this set that reads: Tap for 1. Or Tap for 2; this mana may only be used to cast face-down cards, or to pay for Morph or Megamorph costs.
Then this and other similar cards might see some play.

MTGS egos at their finest.
Thoughts on proxies:
Can we have a poll for an alternate name for megamorph? Please? Anything would be better than mega morphin' rangers.
