Yeah, I'm actually surprised they added the Planeswalkers. It's actually kinda funny Duels gets to enjoy BfZ without the tyranny of Rhino and all the Khans cards - a stark contrast to the IRL format, and could be used to predict the post-rotation format.
Also, dat feeling when you play a Blue-Black control deck and your first pack contains Sire of Stagnation. Awwww yisssss.
I haven't opened anything great yet but the toolkit was enough to seriously upgrade my decks, I was playing a mill deck ingest helps haha.
Since I consider it to be quite similar to playing limited, BFZ is way better than origins limited so I was positive about it improving the game and it has. Just nice to have some reasonably good synergy. I am looking forward to it basically becoming super modern in a few years time.
First, make sure you have the "Order Blockers Automatically" option disabled. With that option set correctly, when your creature gets multi-blocked, all of the blockers are stacked up for you to set the damage assignment order. On keyboard+mouse, use arrow keys or scroll wheel to change the default order.
I think they'll be transitioning to making it as accessible as it can possibly be, since MaRo recently said that a big part of Magic's recent success is due to DotP. Heck, I got back into the game after a 13 year hiatus because of DotP 2013.
Ditto. I just got back into paper magic after 16 years because of Duels Origins on Steam. Well, I stumbled upon a box of my cards and Googled them and first thing I saw was an ad for Duels Origins. Anyways... it's fun and great for learning the game again.

I'm fairly confident I will think of something to say. Active Player: 1994-1999, 2016-
Neat new feature they added to the solo battles- You can only play against UWx decks that 100% of the time play roil spout on turn 3 :/
I know, the computer really likes playing UW fliers and tends to do a turn 3 Roil Spout into either a turn 4 Razorfoot Griffin or Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and follows it up with a turn 5 Guardian of Tazeem or Windrider Patrol. I've eventually just gave up trying to test any decks against the AI because it only plays one deck against me and I now always play Sultai superfriends control against it. The AI seems so confused when I don't play anything against it that it can target with it's awaken spells.
Back to the topic, I checked the Magic Duels Wiki and apparently they're not releasing the Oath of the Gatewatch update until April. It says that Oath of the Gatewatch will be released the same time they plan to release the Shadows Over Innistrad expansion. Considering their track record so far, I'm extremely skeptical that this is going to be the case. If anything I think SOI will get pushed back like BFZ and OotG were.

Feature # XXXXXXXX?_segfault: I opened about 7 packs of BFZ when I logged in after a few months. Over the past couple weeks I opened about another 7 and lo- I got all 7 rares I opened the first time. Sure, it means I can't open them again, but does anyone get the impression that there's a coding bug that auto picks a rare that you already have at certain intervals? For me it was 7 and then another 7... wacky.

My friend made a similar conjecture after getting repeated duplicates. Although, his thoughts were that maybe it was on purpose and not a necessarily a bug.
I played this game this weekend by chance as I was browsing my Steam library, and somehow forgot about it. So, I realize the Chandra questline is incomplete and I give it a go.
I'm actually unable to beat the wild animals encounter. Chandra has a stupid crappy deck, and I keep on losing to the wild beasts superior's one. Obstinate Baloth, Scavenging Ooze, Staff of the Wild Magus etc completely outclass my RDW deck. I will always lose at one point in time because this deck has no pump spell, which means that I have sometimes to use a burn spell after combat in which I lost my creatures, 2-1'd.
In other games, I just lose to repeated Primal Huntbeast and Hunt the Weak because Hexproof completely owns my deck.
I tried something like 10 times before giving up.
I must be doing something wrong or be extremely unlucky in that encounter since I suppose it was beaten at some point, so any advice is appreciated.

I found a similar feature on Online matches as well. It automatically adds Green cards and Ulamog to my opponent's deck.
Seriously, why is everyone and their mother playing Ramp? o.o
On 7/14/10, broke 1900 mark! <3 ROE.
I have a feeling that this wont go as planned at all lol.
