Atm theres a quest where you have to counter spells. Can I do this with my own decks or do I have to do that with the premade decks too just like the archtype quests?

I'm pretty sure that as long as it is not an archtype quest, you can use your own deck. I know I've completed the +1/+1 counter quest with a deck I put together myself.
Maybe I am misunderstanding how activated abilities work, but I have TWICE now lost a game because I could not sacrifice my Inferno Fist in response to my opponent targeting the enchanted creature with a kill spell. It had literally lost me the game. The worst one had him at 2 life, he drew a lifelinker and stabilized while I was in top deck mode and conceded once he got to 12+ life. Ridiculous. Can that ability not resolve at instant speed? Or is this just some goof in the software?
Did you try to zoom in the relevant card and then activate the ability from that view? That has worked for me on a couple of abilities that wouldn't work by just right-clicking the card.
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I can't wait till I can play my bicycle land out, thus making me heckbent, while I have Nessie on the field. You know, so I can attack with my Pervert.
He targeted my creature, I paused time, tried to activate the sac to kill him, would not let me select the ability on the enchantment. Fubar. :/
Are you sure you are actually clicked on the enchantment and not the creature? Mine works for me, but I have to point the cursor away from the cards to actually highlight the enchantment.
For a while I kept forgetting to click the pause button to do stuff like that which is infuriating.
Yep. Had it selected, then clicked to bring it to big picture and there was no red box around the ability to click. Who knows why. I had red mana available and was paused in time.
That actually happened to me once during one of Jace's story matches and twice in Lilliana's final story match. I don't know what triggered the bug, but earlier in the matches I was able to activate abilities but after it did, for the rest of the match I couldn't activate any abilities. I forget what it was in the Jace match, but I know in the Lilliana matches I couldn't activate the zombie lord's fetch from graveyard ability or Rogue's Passage. Both cards had the red glow around them signifying that the conditions are right to activate an ability on the card, but once I zoomed in, I couldn't use the ability. I'd hoped the bug was isolated to the story matches, though.
IOS version is unfortunately still buggy and quite unwieldy if you need to target something with a lot of stuff on your board. Archangel of Tithes on the enemy side = I cannot attack or block, and get stuck in combat. Willbreaker on the enemy side occasionally disallows activated abilities on my side. Bummer.

I noticed again today that phases are extremely important. If you want to do a combat trick, you must do it during the pause of the blocking step because damage resolves instantly. You cannot pause "before damage resolves" or in between the block step and damage step. This might have been the error. I wanted to pass block step to make sure these were all committed blocks and do my combat trick without his ability to assign more or different blocks. I always play paper magic, never MTGO or any other Duels, so the tricky specifics like that are sometimes not translated well. I have also made sure to have it pause every time my opponent plays a spell, because if I don't know immediately what it is, it will often resolve before I get a chance to read it and respond. That cost me a game as well.
So far I've been enjoying the game well enough. I've been playing on Xbox One since it was released. I have a lot of the same problems that other people seem to have. Quest system is buggy at the best of times, Deck Wizard makes stupid choices, etc. My biggest complaint is that the game has a lot of latency issues. When I'm playing online, I will often have the game lock up at the worst of times and that eats my entire response timer. For instance, I'll have a burn spell and my opponent will go to put an aura on something so I'll press X and nothing will happen. I'll press X again but by this point my window is missed.
My second biggest complaint is that some of the cards in this game seem way more powerful than they should be just by virtue of the limited cardpool. The only decks I see that seem to be performing really well are B/G elves and R/W or G/W auras. I don't lose often, but when I do it's because my opponent plays some guy and puts 5 auras on it and I can't do anything about it. Nimbus Wings and Lys Alana Huntmaster are the biggest offenders and they're both from the starting kit. Perilous Myr is also very strong.

Yeah nimbus wings is surprisingly OP in this limited format. I managed to open two of the 2/2 double strikers and it's GG if they last more than a turn. I also opened two outland colossus and 90% of the time it's just the abyss until I nimbus wings for a huge win.

I've been straight destroying online with Grixis Control. Most decks just scoop to Languish and the ones that try and suit up one create fold straight away to Cruel Revival.
I do, essentially, die to a resolved Gaea's Revenge though.
The new community quest... Well let's just say that I hope it already counts if I completed it before today because you couldn't pay me to do that mission again. Especially with a measly 40 gold.

One question before I get back in here...what are our chances of getting our own forum?
This Chandra Community Quest is hard for only one reason, I tend to draw 6 lands in a row every other game. I still beat it, but there's nothing more sleep inducing than that. Somewhere on the Magic 2015 forum, I wrote an article on how bad the RNG sometimes is(Random Number Generator). Oh well, it's probably the best RNG we've got to choose from so make the best of it.
Ok, the current deck I'm thrashing everyone with isn't even my style and kudos to my friend, Waer, for inspiring it. It's r/g land destruction, but it wins in other ways.
is there a way to edit the name and character picture of a custom deck? thanks!
You need to open the deck statistic, there is an option for editing your deck, which allows you to rename it and change the avatar.
I'am glad it's the last game they made, each year the editing option for the deck was more hidden then before. I don't want to imagine where it would end up next

Thanks to DarkNightCavalier from Heroes of the Plane Studios for this sick Signature.
I don´t get new quests too. I finished the "Counter 5 spells" yesterday and i still have the "put 20 counters on creatures" quest, but otherwise I havn´t got new quests today - Unless theres a specific time when it updates
My only complaint is that you cant play instants at the draw step or abilities. I had a black cat on board with a sac outlet and it wouldnt let me do it.
Well, you'd have to do it before drawing anyway, during the upkeep. Once they draw, it moves directly to the precombat main phase where he gets the priority to play it before anything else anyway.
Now can anyone tell me how to choose which mana I use to cast a spell? The game always thinks I want to use Rogue's Passage to pay for the costs.
No game, I was going to use that to make my renown creature unblockable...
It's Ctrl for me, but you could check the game settings, to see if it's different.
It's actually - wait for it - the mouse wheel for me ! Yes, the mouse wheel is the only way to make multi blocking work correctly for me, not Ctrl, not Alt or anything else.
Thanks for your help anyway, guys !
Yeah, for multiblocking it's the mousewheel, but for changing land tapping its Ctrl. At least for me.
Is it only me who think that the quests doesn´t have much variation. The Archtype quests seems to appear a lot tho you already have completed them
The extra dumb thing about the archetype quests is that they can ask for either 2 or 4 wins but give 40 gold for both. What kinda crap is that? If you're gonna make me use the deckbuiler's crappy RB sacrifice deck 4 times you better give me more gold. Also, I tried doing the "easy" mode for the quest today and the AI literally only played rares and mythics other than lands. What the hell is the difference between easy and hard AI?

I couldn´t agree more both on the gold and on the difficulty. I often take easy mode because on normal and hard it´s crazy and even on easy I can have a hard time lol
Also i keep having empty quests for a long time tho it keeps saying "Come back tomorrow"

In paper magic you can act in the Draw-step.
Its Upkeep - Draw - PreCombat Mainphase
You let them draw a card in the draw step and then each player gets priority before it advances a step ; so you totally can use the discard effect before they get a chance to play it in the mainphase.
The comp game Magic Origin however doesnt allow for that as far as i can tell.

Project: Khans of Tarkir Cube (cubetutor)
Don't worry, this has happened to me too. Maybe they don't add a new one until a certain time of day, or a certain amount of time has passed?
