I have a feeling that Dromoka will have "protection" in her abilities because this Dragon and the uncommon from Fate Reforged have a thing against spells used by the oponents
3 mana sounds too little for a dragon, dragons are typically from 4/4 bodies and up. I could see it if the last one was the black one, as it could have had some drawback to justify the low casting cost. But not really for blue or green.
It might also not be a pattern.
except we already have the black one ad it costs 6. there are "blue" dragons in other dragons arts and they all look pretty small compared to the others so they might be smaller than 4/4 and cost 3

Hence why I wrote "if the last one was the black one..[..]..not blue or green."
Could actually be great sideboard tech for Abzan or RW midrange. On a stalled board, he makes it a lot harder for your opponent to pull ahead, and all but forces them to spend their removal on him. The only burn spell he dies to in constructed is stoke, and that's only if they don't cast anything else first. I think it's a solid card.

Yeah, the Ojutai brood seem smaller than the other dragons, so one of their cycle may end up being as low as three, but I think it'll more likely be four. If we get anything less than four, it'll probably be something like dragon hatchling

Could be that they are indeed smaller than the others, however remember that blue is #1 in flying and #2 in big expensive creatures, so I can see it getting an 8 mana dragon.
Taurean Mauler has long since fallen out of favor in EDH, except in certain decks that can fling him (Like Brion Stoutarm). This guy does bring both flying and small lifegain to the table on top of it, so it might break into some decks. Additionally, the flying means that unlike its older brother, it has some evasion so it won't just eat chumpblockers all day every day. So as far as EDH playability goes, I'm gonna give this a "Sorta, but don't expect miracles" rating.
Keep in mind this dragon is in a color that is much better equipped to take advantage of its abilities than Mauler was. Ghave, Daghatar, and Oloro should all like this dragon quite a bit. Probably won't be too exciting in decks that don't have the right synergies, but I tend to prefer synergistic cards to universally borked effects anyway.
I have neither the skill to correctly and accurately analyze this set in the context of current and future formats after 12 hours of exposure, nor the hubris to delude myself into believing that I do.
Better than Taurean Mauler! YES PLEASE!! My EDH deck loves this card and a few of causal legacy decks will be scooping him up to. Another dragon I will need 12+ coopies of. At least he will be cheap
Selesnya Ramp Deck, here you come. Turn 3, put this on the table, either have Stoke the Flames or Chain to the Rocks if you're red, have Hero's Downfall or Murderous cut if your Black, have Valorous Stance if your white, Have Crackling Doom if you're all three, have reality Shift if you're blue... Okay, we have a little too much removal in this format.
I'm not sure if this is part of the same cycle as Deathbringer Dragonlord. Yes, Dragonlord could quite easily be a mistranslation of Regent in a set full of dragons, but notice that both this and Thunderbreak Regent trigger when an opponent casts a spell (Thunderbreak with a condition), whereas the black one has an ETB trigger. Also, stonefish are ABSOLUTELY terrifying when you encounter one in real life, probably about as terrifying as encountering a Sunscorch Regent in real life (one's a bit more likely though). I've seen a stonefish send someone to the ER for 3 hours and they couldn't walk up stairs normally for a week. And you couldn't see the fish at all before she stepped on it, so there was no warning.
At this point guys I think we can assume it's Deathbringer Regent. At the very least, it isn't a dragonlord if that's what we're calling Silumgur and his fellow brood leaders.
As for Sunscorch....I like it. I'm not sure at current time if I'd be able to fit it in my decks, however. It looks to be very decent, and I have an odd feeling that post-rotation it's going to become an all-star in the style like Pack Rat did. IDK. Maybe I'm wrong, but to me, if my removal rods are strong enough that they can win the game if they aren't dealt with and still give me a lasting impression of 1 more life, which can save games as we've seen with Courser......I do like it. Does outlive every burn but Stoke, but casting anything else before that Stoke removes the ability for Stoke to work too.
So it dies to Stoke the Flames but only if that is the very next spell your opponent plays. Dies to Valorous Stance but only if you opponent has another spell to play first. Seems like sweet design. Limited bomb, without question. Doubt it will see much constructed play because Wingmate Roc.

This will see niche play in Commander I think.

The fourth point of toughness isn't SUPER relevant, as it survives Lightning Bolt/Lightning Strike, though Stoke the Flames does kill it.

Cards that can kill it: Stoke, Downfall, glare of heresy, utter end, crater's claws. Bounce spells don't kill it but they certainly hurt the tempo.
Of course it depends on what shows up in DTK but right now I'd call this a first pick limited for sure.
Taurean Mauler didn't have flying either.
