I mostly made that post to respond to the person who was calling another person essentially an armchair quarterback and telling him to do better if he wasn't to critique. You've taken this in a very different direction. No less valid but different, than what the thrust of my point was attempting to respond to and refute.
And yes to the person above. Prowess is being replaced by Rebound. I suspect we might get a creature or two that interacts with rebound but Prowess was a Jeskai mechanic and the Jeskai are no more.
silumgar is so going in my sultai whip. sidisi.... i'm skeptical about. I like the idea of tutoring, but for basically the same cost, Rune-scarred demon did the same thing for free.

Zombie Sidisi also blocks(and kills) rhinos, Tasigur, Polukranos, and more by being a 4/6 deathtouch. Her body is very relevant. 6 toughness is great.
I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.
I'm really hoping for the rest of the dragon lords to be good. I don't know how you can make Atarka even crazier than she already was. I'm hoping Ojutai proves to be a good control finisher as well.
Idk if this has been said yet, but to those complaining about the elder subtype, remember Ugin is responsible for the creation of these dragons, and Ugin is an Elder Dragon. Not sure the exact ramifications of that, but these dragons are directly related to an original Elder Dragon.
I swear I first read it as Wingbonger...something tells me that "As Long as Wingbonger is paired with another creature, both creatures have weed." wouldn't be as good. Seems solid for limited.

Rune-Scarred Demon costs 7, not 5. That's a radically different cost! In non-EDH that means one is generally castable and one is reanimator-only unless you are playing green/ramp. If anything I think Zombie Sidisi is what will really shine in whip, since you'll have random 1/1 satyrs or 2/2 zombie tokens that are easy to sacrifice.
1. Silumgar is awesome. Many of those that doubt him are not thinking of him in the right role. He's obviously not a finisher in U/B control, as he has no resilience. But he is a house in a midrange strategy, especially one with sac outlets.
2. Sidisi is highly playable with good death triggers. She also has a sizable body with deathtouch. Good cards to sac to her off of the top of my head: JESKAI SAGE, Sultai Emissary, Satyr Wayfinder, Sylvan Caryatid. And it seems likely we will get more since Sultai's mechanic is based off of sacrificing. She may be competing with Liliana in Constructed though.
3. Stratus Dancer is very good. It's borderline broken in U/G manifest.
My Animar EDH is gonna love Stratus Dancer. It can never have too much wrath protection, more flyers are always welcome, and each morph/megamorph creature improves the surprise factor of the rest.
I actually think putting a new spin on the Elder Dragon subtype for these guys was pretty cool. But I know a few Vorthoses who are definitely going to be rubbed the wrong way.
So when you cast Profound Journey from exile, does it land in the graveyard before the permanent it targets lands on the battlefield? Just wondering if you could do any kind of trick with a permanent that returns sorceries to hand from graveyard when entering the battlefield.

Even in EDH, the jump from 5 to 7 is a big one, especially on a tutor or draw spell. It often means the difference between casting what you get immediately or having to wait until it might be too late.

It's still on the stack while you need to choose a target.

That's true but there are shenanigans to be had. The last part of a spell resolving is the card itself being put into the graveyard. If you target, say, and Archaeomancer with the rebounding of Profound Journey you will put the Archeomancer into play and it's trigger will go on the stack but cannot do anything until the Profound Journey has finished resolving. So when the Archemoancer's trigger resolves Profound Journey will be a legal target.

This is true ONLY if you target Archaeomancer with the delayed trigger.

Technically, the trigger is waiting to go on the stack while Profound Journey resolves. Targets are chosen as part of the triggered ability going on the stack, when a player would receive priority after Profound Journey resolves, at which time the rebound spell is a legal target to be chosen. The end result is the same as you described, though.

I just realized this thing has flying. I think its Valorous Stance levels of good for Jeskai. I don't care if my opponent knows I can negate one of their upcoming plays either, there is a ton of value in this guy and the things its doing things are holes Jeskai can greatly benefit from having filled. It is the relatively potent three cost ceature + negate post board five land play that is very strong for Jeskai but all in one card (though given creature doesn't do quite what Rider or Rabble does, but still can hit for 2-3.
Well put. That's kind of what I was trying to get across - the card isn't bonkers or anything, but it does seem like it could fill in some of the gaps that the Jeskai deck has. Until you play it, you'll have no idea how awkward it is to be an aggressive deck with several tap lands and a glut of 3-drops all sitting on top of one another.

Aye, thank you. I do like to be specific with my rules. Sometimes it bothers my friends.

Dragon Tempest is nice because now you don't have to play haste dragons for maximum value. Maybe it's just a worse Hammer of Purphoros though.
Stratus Dancer seems strong. Perhaps a morph deck is coming together.

T4 Attack with Siege Rhino, Life's Legacy on Siege Rhino.
T5 Profound Journey on Siege Rhino, Life's Legacy again.
T6 Profound Journey returns Siege Rhino yet again.
It's very MCL, but I love how it takes almost half their life in ETB triggers alone
Profound Journey + New Sidisi could also get very lulzy.
