I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
No enemy fetches make me sad and add a little credibility to that certain post which mentioned them being in modern masters 2 *shiver*.
Yeah :/
They could also be in origins, I guess, but I'm kinda doubting that now.
Sanctuaries would seem likely as the names of our dual lands as of now. I wonder if they'd be something new or a functional reprint like the not-refuges of KTK/FRF?
I'd also like to see them in origins, but I'm doubtful as well. So whats most likely?
- enemy fastlands
- enemy manlands
- new cycle
Since this set focuses on allied pairings, it would be really weird to have enemy-colored lands, no? I think we'll get a new allied dual cycle that enters the battlefield tapped unless you reveal a dragon permanent card from your hand. Or something in that direction.

And once more, people told themselves something so hard they think Wizards is not evil for not meeting their demands.
It's like people speculating Thoughtseize reprint/"THOUGHTSEIZE HAS TO BE IN THIS SET" since like Innistrad.
This set is ALLIED COLORS. Why would it have ENEMY FETCHLANDS.
You people .-.
Someone should cut a video with MaRo saying "Tarkir. has. enemy. fetch. lands.", for best effect it should feature him in different locations, so you know he said it for real!
I've been saying 10 basics for a while now. There is no reason we need more basics. I cannot believe that there aren't any non-basics after Evolving Wilds unless they are Dragon Sanctuary, Dragon Temple, Dragon Flat, etc.

Mostly because this block needs them, not the set itself. Wizards promised that they would keep mana fixing in each block equal for the sake of standard and block constructed having an equivalent mana base for every dual-color combo. They gave us allied duals in the first set of the block, so having some sort of enemy duals in the last set of the block would be them fulfilling that promise. People wanted them to be fetchlands because people want fetchlands and they took the equal color fixing thing to mean full 10-card cycles, but it really didn't.
They may be using the fact that they are changing what a block is to their advantage with this, though. KTK/FRF is, in a sense, it's own block since they will rotate out together, with DTK/Origins being another separate block. That would mean they could throw ally lands in DTK and enemy lands into Origins. That makes sense for them to do, but it is sort of twisting their words when they promised us equal color fixing in blocks.
I see your argument, but I realised with Evolving Wilds that meant if we were to have a third 'Of the Spirit Dragon' land (which i feel flavourwise makes sense) I needed to have another land in the span and that meant 5 lands before Evolving wilds. I think that rules out any existing cycle, to me this makes sense. If people really think i should remove it I will
I'm fine with enemy fetchlands not being printed for now, but I will be very disappointed if Wizards does not capitalize on the "Where dragons once..." time travel thing.
You realize that the colors of the set have no basis on the lands. Khans is a good example, Allied fetches in a Enemy based wedge set. Zendikar had no color theme, Innistrad ha enemy checklands and it was all over the place on colors.

People who dont do research sheesh.
Right which is exactly why the shocklands didn't match the guilds.. ohhh wait.
You pointed out the different Innistrad was all over the place on colours. The enemy lands were there as a balance to the fact they were needed in general constructed. Innistrad and Zendikar didn't have a colour theme. DTK does it's going to need mana fixing for limited and with the only colour pais in DTK being Ally colours it seems really unlikely you'd draft enemy pairs MaRo's specifically points out they want you to draft allies. I don't think Mana Rocks are enough.
I think we can be certain of the name "Risen Executioner" -- that name is listed in English in the article title, as well as in the card image's file name; it's not a translation from the Italian.

The whole set really does dictate the lands. Stating a few exceptions doesn't make everything a big chaos. Innistrad indeed wasn't very consistent in the colors, but that had a few thematic reasons. On the other hand, most blocks have the manafixing you'd expect. Shards had the shard tri-lands, Khans the wedge tri-lands, and RTR the guild combinations you'd expect. If you fail to see the pattern, that doesn't mean it isn't there.
Yes, it would have made more sense to put enemy fetches in KTK and then ally fetches in DTK, but they didn't. One reason might be, because 10 fetches in one superblock is a bit much.
Also I'd like to add that never, EVER, Wizards is going to print cards because they're needed in the metagame. Current set running out of fixing? Let's add some extra duals.
That's not possible, because it takes months, even years to plan these sets ahead, get the art together, and get them to print. You can assume the cards released in one year from now are pretty much locked in place right now, and nothing in current Standard is going to change that.

This doesn't fit with the current spoilers. We know that there are 264 cards. We know that Evolving Wilds is #248. If there are truly no basics, then numbers would have to breakdown like this:

seems like something they could do.
but no idea, mb its just my wishful thinking.
I don't think we have any reason to expect a full cycle of these. The other clans don't strike me as the type to build sanctuaries,
I think it is far more likely that there are just ~15 artifacts, that'd be only two more than Khans and plenty reasonable.
Speculative additions to the list should be based on something more substantial I feel.

There goes another promise.
The only one they keep is the one that ****s us over, the ******* resserved list.

I agree. The lands probably shouldn't be on the list yet. A cycle of artifacts seems confirmed, though.

I imagine these are like the cycle of totems (Phyrexian Totem), except that they produce 2 colors.
I've already listed the mana rocks in confirmed cycles

Leaving 2 lands unaccounted for. I'd also be surprised if there wasn't a 3rd land in the Tomb of the Spirit Dragon / Crucible of the Spirit Dragon cycle.
but I'm looking forward for alternate reality for ugin land in present time
What seems less realistic for me aren't the fetchlands, but the trilands in a no shards set.
Fixed Atarka's command sorry about that.
