Personally, I like the idea of this feature, but it'll be interesting to see if the 'prizes' are distributed in such a way that the owner can give out to every player, or if there exists a possibility of people winning but not being able to get the prize.
As long as it is fine with organizer, Akki_Akki know which die to be using. This one. If the weight and size isn't different, Akki_Akki be comfortable with using TSP spindown that Akki_Akki got from TSP Fat Pack. It actually fits whole time travel theme. If not, Akki_Akki go with Atarka, World Render spindown.
If Akki_Akki cause the box to rock a bit by hitting walls with enough force with spindown can Akki_Akki rend the world to knock over pieces indirectly during D20 roll and would it count to score total?
Oh man those dice are SO AWESOME. I have to get them all!
Edit: Uuuuuuuuuugh. Alt. art dragon promo. Wizards, I'm a dragon/Planeswalker collector and you're KILLING me lately. Just KILLING me.
I was a collector, too, i still remember how much money i forked when helvault pre release gimmick coming out,
but i am not a collector anymore, because i realize, it's just not possible for me to be a collector of MtG, it's insanely expensive
and i remember, i cringed and talk to myself "Thanks GOD i am not a collector anymore" when Wotc announce there are 40 pre release foil, and alt art intro pack, then also alt art clash pack
Wizards print good rares, players complain about cash grab. They print underwhelming rares, players complain that the cards suck. They spoil the best cards first, players complain about the insane prices of preorders. They spoil the meh cards first, players complain that this is the worst set ever.
So. I think I understand now.
As far as these forums are concerned, WotC can never do anything good because:
Card that is new and probably good = "pushed"
Card that is new and probably bad = "EDH/casual fodder"
Card that is a reprint = "lazy"
Card that is a better version of an older card = "power creep"
Card that is a weaker version of an older card = "worthless"
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Love the dice, but this game also has me wondering about what we are going to see of the Brood Dragon leaders in Dragons. As each die represents the dragon's breath, maybe we will see spells for them sort of like Breath of Malfegor
msun: Knives scoop ice cream.
Highroller: No they don't, knives don't scoop. Spoons scoop.
msun: Well, knives SHOULD scoop icecream.
Highroller: We have spoons that do it. Moreover, the shape of a knife that would scoop ice cream would make it horrible for performing the functions of a knife.
msun: Highroller, you bring up spoons as though they were the utensil used for scooping ice cream.
Ok. A prerelease would be a perfect place for me to introduce some of my occasional magic playing friends to organised play, but I am too embarrased to take the along now.
I hate these "LET'S ALL have fun!! EVERYONE must have fun!!" activities.

dear god, it's for free stuff, if you don't like it, don't do it. No-one forces you or your "adult" friends to throw some dice to get points
34 year old here, and I like these kinds of things. Just a fun, relaxing side event that you don't have to pay for and have the possibility of scoring some swag.
In fact, I led my LGS in a second (in addition to Ugin's Fate) Monopoly-like card collecting game (think the McDonalds version) in which people could win some pretty sweet prizes. It was very positively received by players aged 11-45.
As has been said a couple times, if you don't like it, don't play it. But don't try and make other people feel stupid for wanting to have a little bit of fun.
If anyone has been to the big prereleases in the Syracuse NY area, you would probably would have remembered the dice roll game. its a dollar to roll six D6's. if you rolled an extremely low or high number you would win something good. back then my friend won a Vindicate and I got a volcanic Island (I sorely wish I still had that card). if you rolled all ones you would get a free box of the new set when it came out. if you rolled a middle number you would get something out of the dollar bin, you always won something and if you paid $10 you would get 2 free rolls. it was loads of fun.
This... looks interesting, again potential free stuff opportunity, can't complain about that, better than the Ugins fate packs. the real thing here is those sexy looking dice!
I thought they wanted to make collecting easier? When they stopped doing book/comic promos from waaaaaay back. Or did they mean they would stop making new cards in exclusive products and just reprint the hell out of $ cards to inflate secondary market. boo.
This looks like fun. It gives everyone a chance to earn promos without having to be, 'good' as I found stores gave out extra ugin packs for wins. But overall I think it is lame. I can't really see anyway to get more than 9. Dice just don't roll that hard to keep up momentum. And bouncing off little cardboard stand-ups makes it even worse.
I would be amazingly shocked if anyone even got to 9 points.
I want to use this.

Wanted -Zombie Foils and older expensive Zombie stuff. High Priority- Beta Z Master/ Int. Collector's Edition.
Does anyone else hate when organizers don't follow the rules for these things? I can definitely see someone not setting it up right, or forgetting to tally the leaderboard, or even not allowing the re-roll.

Akki_Akki contacted his LGS and they had zero idea as they haven't been informed yet.

(Editor's Note: An earlier version of this had "Basic Land" listed below when it should have been simply "Land.")
If it isn't a basic land I bet it will be some crap like Crucible of the Spirit Dragon.
Seams that as each pre-release happens, the involvement becomes more and more intense and intricate.
So, in 10 years, will we be the planeswalkers in a virtual setting fighting each other in a virtual world? When will the madness end?!?!?!
Hopefully never...

That would at least be interesting... though of course not a fair competition by any means.
This game they made up looks awful.

Kudos to Wizards for never letting things become stale.
Keep it up!

Selling some cards I don't want.
Generally less than tcg mid.
There looks to be a plastic wall around the board to me.
