At first I thought cool a decent bolster target but after reading his ability it's not oh well limited card for sure and a decent late pick in draft I guess. The fact that it's an uncommon taking up a slot makes me sad though.
This seems pretty bad, except maybe against pure control decks (out of the sideboard). In Limited I feel like this thing is going to be stone-walled by infinite 2/2s.
We now have our 2-mana Ferocious enabler for Frontier Mastodon to curve into. Seems really good, since anything that can target it would probably end up killing it anyway. Gives Temur aggro a boost, swings past Caryatids and trades with Coursers. I'm not personally a fan of aggro archetypes, but I do like the possibilities it opens up. Also, being an elemental for synergy with Master of Waves seems lulzy.

2-mana Ferocious enabler. Not really much of a tempo loss even if it gets removed, since it costs so little to play, and if by some miracle your opponent doesn't have a turn 1 or 2 creature when you're on the play, it can get in a nice bit of damage. At worst, it's chumping a morph or taking a removal spell that could have been saved for one of tour bigger beaters (which you have, because this is very much a Temur card).

Aggression in blue always has the potential to be very powerful, and I could see this card being both Standard and Modern playable. This might just be the missing piece for that mono-blue aggressive deck Travis Woo was playing in Modern for a while (plus, costing 2 is a benefit where Disrupting Shoal is concerned).
Cheaply enables Ferocious in Standard (though sadly does not play well with Stubborn Denial).

Just pretend this is one of the extra uncommons.
What are you people talking about? Last I checked, Bolster didn't target.

Have you played KTK sealed? People don't have a 1 or 2 drop all the time. Plus if you have a bit of removal you can get in a lot of damage before they stabilize. Overall I think this is a very strong limited card. There's only a handful of cards that get a free kill on him.

I was commenting on the waste of an uncommon slot part. This set has 20 extra uncommons.
If the creature being removed costs less than the removal, your creature is not dying to removal, the removal is dying to the creature.
If your opponent wants to Lightning Strike or Anger of the Gods or Bile Blight him away, cool. Your deck has limited removal, and the resources required for this card are so little that you gain advantage by making them waste removal on a cheap creature.
1 and 2 mana creatures with high power and little downside see play. His downside isn't really a downside; as someone said anything that would target him would kill him anyway.

You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

Still, 4/1 for 2 mana in limited... you better have a two-drop.

Added it already, it's an Elemental.
Edit: To be clear, I determined it was an Elemental by comparing against the Japanese type line of existing Elementals.
