Do you guys think that we will see more dragons in FTF than this?
In FTF? Maybe. A cycle of 5 legends and a cycle of 5 uncommons is still the most dragons ever in one set, I believe. I think Invasion had the next most at once at 7 total. FTF will represent almost 1/12 of all the Dragons in Magic.
can someone tell me what happens if you cast arcbond on a lifelink creature and you kill yourself by the damage? does the lifelink happen before the you drop below 0 life?
Warden of the first tree is Figure of Destiny in green, love how the latest ability can be activated how many times as you want to make the little dude bigger and bigger.
seriously, what's not to love about this dude?
People aren't going to love investing seven mana in a creature that gets killed by Lightning Strike.

They went over that in the article it is spoiled. You take and heal at the same time, so no you don't die.
Or, conversely, Heir of the Wilds and this will be an actual boardwipe, guaranteed (minus indestructible creatures, of course). It's certainly a fun card, that's for sure
For me, what makes Tasigur playable is his own Delve. 4/5 for 3 or 4 is, as other have pointed out, very doable and quite strong. When you add the ability to get random resources back, it's quite interesting.
Love the White and Black (kill-a-Morph) Dragons the most.

Lifelink happens at the same time damage is done, so you'll gain the life as you're taking the damage. If for some reason all other damage other than to you is prevented you'll still end up at the same life total you started (you gain just as much as you take), any damage done to anything else would make you go up.
I hadn't realized that you could use it more then once, but now it just seems broken. Could it see play in Abzan Midrange?
As for Taisgur, to me it seems like a Gurmag Angler with more potential. You'd expect more out of a khan, especially one capable of raising demon armies.

It just seems weird to be on a plane where dragons are alive and yet we get so few of them. I´m sure Dragons of Tarkir will have a lot but having 5-6 is like nothing

I imagine Dragons of Tarkir will have the Lion's share of Dragons. Although I feel like we might be getting a common cycle of dragons in FTF, too. Or at least I hope we do.
And is Tasigur holding a Whip of Erebos? To help eliminate the choices opponents make and reanimate things? Even despite it being a different plane, it somehow makes sense...
Arkham, the 1920's. Investigators battle horrors from beyond time and space, risking life and sanity while conspiracies of cultists and malign servitors seek gateways for their outer gods to return...
Soon, the stars will be right! Great Cthulhu shall rise!
I like the rares and Wild Slash
The new Khan is a Skill Tester , the red rare would be good sometimes when you re ok with losing some life to clear the board.
The new figure of destiny is +- , you don't want to rush into its last level going into level 2 is enought ( and sometimes will mess with your curve )

Oh yeah sorry - It´s still a few tho if you want to make a multi / Tricolored dragon deck just with FTF dragons

People aren't going to love investing seven mana in a creature that gets killed by Lightning Strike.
you realise that he still is a 3/3 on turn 2 which can already attack? and later in the game, you obviously dont use his abbility when you fear a lightning strike. i think this will definitly see play in abzan midrange.
I also like the possibility of playing more copies of Tasigur. There's a chance he might return himself. Though fueling Dig or Cruise isn't such a bad idea. What about filling the yard with nothing but cruise/dig/lands and opponent has to agonize which to gift you. lol

and there we go again with the old "dies to removal" argument.
the little dude is cute.... it'll not warp the format, and yes, it's quite killable as is almost everything else.
It's really nice to see a new Figure of Destiny which saw a really fair amount of play despite the "dies to removal" argument.
It's a dude that can attack in turn 2 as a 3/3 if you drop him in your first turn, it's not bad...
and it forces people to spend removal on it, or else it will grow to become a win condition eventually, and that's not a small feat for a 1drop.
I quite like the direction that was taken with Warden of the First Tree - and Wardscale Dragon is quite nice.
The "when X dragon dies, Y" is definitely a call back to the Kamigawa dragons.

Is tapping out the first two turns for a 3/3 that can attack on T2 really significantly better than just casting a fleecemane lion on turn 2 and having your first turn opened up?
The Temur shock is the best card here. Burn decks were hungry for more burn cards and the card is pretty relevant for control might want a one mana removal and the little bit of extra reach.
Golden Fang is strong. By delving only two cards he already have Siege Rhino body/cost ratio in a much less restrictive cost. His ability means you're drawing cards every turn and delve is the tool you need to exile the things you really don't want to get back, such as mana dorks.
Warden of the First Tree is a good one drop but still overrated. So many lands that ETB tapped really makes things hard for him. Also, his second ability means his virtually a two drop. I would rather play Fleecemane or Deathdealer most of the time, but he still have some future solid chance of seen some play.
The dragons are basically limited defining cards. I'm really amazed on how this team were able to fit in so many archtypes together in a single block. Those dragons will surely be much more relevant in the next limited format but for now it seems they are big finishers everyone will be using here an there.

To be fair, it's a problem shared by Figure of Destiny too.
Though, actually it is more pronounced with Warden because he spends more time durdling around with 3 toughness whereas Figure was like "ok, I'm moving from 2/2 to 4/4, kill me now?" That said, I think the potential to have a mana sink with no growth ceiling like that is worth messing around with.
I dunno.
Guess I've got a kitchen table project to work on now in Abzan Humans: Champion of the Parish + Mardu Shadowspear + Ranger of Eos + Warden of the First Tree, tastes like value.
Remember on Tasigur that at a bare minimum he's a 4/5 with delve, and you only need to delve 2 cards for that body to get value. It may not seem like it, but the extra toughness over Hooting Mandrills matter a lot in this format and make Tasigur a lot more relevant. He can block Siege Rhino without dying and avoids getting stoked. The other delve creatures that can be reduced to 1 CMC are Sultai Scavenger, which is just a 3/3 flier, and Shambling Attendant which costs 7B to begin with. It's unlikely he'll see play in other formats, because he competes with Treasure Cruise, but he could be a force in standard.
His activated ability is interesting. I don't think it is tremendously strong, but perhaps in a Sultai ramp deck the ability to do it multiple times in a turn could be relevant. It does however grow both your hand and the graveyard at the same time, something that might be more valuable than it looks. Ideally you'd only be giving your opponent 1-2 options to pick from, so hopefully it would usually be at least a little useful in most situations. Interestingly his ability does provide something the Sultai lack, which is the ability to get value out of milled spells or Whips.
He's not overpoweringly strong in any one aspect, but he does basically every the Sultai need. Strong body that can be very cheap with delve, card advantage, and graveyard stacking. I think he fits in well with the basic Sidisi whip decks. In EDH, he probably makes a better general than Sidisi because of the mana ramp in the format, neatness of a Delve commander, and the ability to draw your entire deck with infinite mana.
