Anyone want to take an attempt at the flavor text?
Google translate tells me it's:
"The curse of countless shattered weapons , each a failed attempt to slay them - Daghatar the Grim"
Which seems like it's probably pretty close, but a native speaker can probably get closer.
As a german, I would translate similar, just one difference:
"The curse of countless shattered weapons , each of them a failed attempt to slay her- Daghatar the Grim"
TBH it doesn't make fully sense to me. A curse is something you put upon someone else to torture or punish him, like "I curse you may all your weapons be shattered!"
But then refering to these weapons as objects used already, is strange to me.
I almost feel like the curse is on man, in the form of her taking their shattered strength and boltering her own with it
A must answer with a very fast clock. Easier to set up than wingmate roc, but not quite as durable. I like him still, not sold on him for Standard quite though. Very playable.
At first I thought this was awful but I've since come to believe that it's mediocre. At 5/5 there's nothing relevant this doesn't at least trade with in the air. It eats Ashcloud Phoenix, Wingmate Roc, and Prognostic Sphinx; it trades with the new Rakdos Dragon, and Butcher of the Horde. Sadly, Stormbreath Dragon doesn't really give a ***** about it, Arbor Colossus blocks it profitably and it's weak to Elspeth. I still don't think this is something that's going to see play unless bolstering a Fleecemane Lion becomes important but at least the art if super cool.
Hardened Scales literally reads add 1 point to all Bolster abilities. Anyone think she is too good with Bolster 3? If you're adding Scales, might as well keep Ajani, Mentor of Heroes.
You can attack and Bolster, then shrink unfavorable matchups with Retribution of the Ancients. This set up negates the pseudo drawback of having to place counters on your smallest toughness guy. Additionally, at 5/5, she can take pretty much anything down once it has -2/-2 on it, so a single trigger can make her a winning combatant vs just about anything. I also imagine at least one smaller Green, White, or Black dragon being playable come DTK.

Hornet Queen? BBBBB and they're all gone. Maybe a dream, Drown in Sorrow is still in Abzan.
