I stated an opinion just like everyone else is doing here including you. Even if you increase the card pool, increasing the price of key format staples does not make a format more accessible when price was a barrier to entry from the very beginning.
You come off very condescending by the way. Sucks for you that people actually want access to cards to they can play your precious game. See? I can make assumptions too. Read my sig, I'm a budget casual player, I was never trying to catch the boat in the first place.
I agree with this. While some cards dropped in price, other cards are still expensive even with more in the world to purchase. Regardless if WotC prints another Goyf every few years, as long as there is a demand for the card from current and future players the card will remain expensive. That secondary market price is still preventing entry into the format unless you build a budget deck but then you face the issue of being overpowered by a deck that runs those high end cards. I don't want to have to spend almost $1k to just make a deck.
More high ends cards on a limited print run that packs were more expensive to purchase doesn't make the format cheaper even with more cards to purchase on the secondary market. Magic becomes less like a hobby for fun and more like a mistress that you buy fur coats for.
But the key point is that you don't need goyf to be competitive. You can enter and play scapeshift, affinity, Jeskai, Delver, Storm, etc.
Lands are the true barrier. Goyf has been made a scapegoat and is a very bad illustration of the barrier to modern.
Just to further illustrate this point: total number of 'goyfs in the most recent top 8? 4. One play set. There were 7 other completely viable decks without a single 'goyf. How about all those Bobs? And by that I mean all 0 of them. Cliques? 1 There was an equal amount of Incendiary Commands as there were Cryptic Commands. There are cards that should be reprinted (Splinter Twin, Emrakul, Hierarch, Mox Opal, Karn, Serum Visions). None of the cards from MM1 should be reprinted right now, and based on how MM1 initially impacted prices, they shouldn't drastically change the size of the print run. I could see a small increase, but only a small increase (10-20%).

They could do a large increase as MSRP went up (without goyf the average value of packs might be less). I also would like to see a much larger print run, as stores might use some product to draft or not charge more then the GP for sealed and give no MM prizes (that was my area).

The increase in MSRP is largely irrelevant. The packs are worth what they are worth, which will be determined by the secondary market. The increase in MSRP mostly only means that WOTC makes more and the stores make less. The impact on prices will be determined by the amount of supply, not the MSRP. The print run should be mostly similar to MM1 so that there can be future MMs.
Haven't we learned that reprinting a bunch of the overpriced cards won't have a huge impact on the price?
I'm pretty sure we learned the opposite. See Chronicles.
And that was how many moons ago? demand has increased to the point that a normal print run wont ruin prices in fact if anything demand has tripled since many players now require one off many old cards for their commander deck. Its is not just modern now commander is the new eternal format and its driving prices into the stratosphere see for example gamble from a dollar bin rare to a 20+ staple. We require more old reprints in order to keep prices from balloning and crashing.

We don't "require" anything. This is a hobby. Some people aren't going to be able to afford to play eternal formats. In the long run, it's better for the game for cards to retain value so that WOTC can continue to make money in the future, which means they continue to make new cards. Crashing prices is terrible. Someday people on this forum will understand the concept of long-term thinking.

Chronicle packs were selling at my LGS for $10 a pack. The cards inside the set are cheap as heck, but many of them are great cards to run in EDH. Even now the prices won't recover for those cards reprinted, however, that should not stop Wizards from printing old cards. I play EDH extensively, but there are some decks I can't make because I can't afford the cards for them. That doesn't stop me from playing, but I know that outside my circle of friends other decks are far more powerful. The entry into EDH, since you can build a fun deck on a budget, is much easier. When you need to run staples or get those expensive cards to make a deck it certainly makes it difficult based on the level of competition. A junky deck with a fun theme or mechanic can just be as much fun/likely to win against a tricked out high end staple running deck.
With that being said though it would be nice to see more of the older cards reprinted for EDH because EDH has, and will continue to, jack up prices. Conspiracy tanked prices of cards like Stifle and Exploration, but makes allows more players to purchase copies to play with. There are some cards that are needlessly expensive that even with a reprint in an EDH focused booster set we would see the same results as the MM printings (limited printing with a slight cost increase).
Haven't we learned that reprinting a bunch of the overpriced cards won't have a huge impact on the price?
Modern Masters 1 proved that it does have a large impact on overpriced cards. Just because a couple printed at Mythic didn't drop doesn't mean that the entire rare level of modern staples got crushed. Here was a post of mine from a while ago:
Most of these cards were surging upward, got reprinted, and have seen a long road down to market equilibrium. That downward dip starts again and again right around June 1st 2013.
My big issue with Goyf being so astronomically expensive is that it cuts off access to multiple deck types for many people. Those decks, by chance, happen to also be popular with the less Spikey players.
I'll give you a personal example.
I have two friends. One is a pharmacist, the other is an engineer. They get paid alot of money, and both enjoy Magic. They both have high level Commander decks. Both have played Standard with competitive decks at a time. One of these guys wants to make Zoo or some Doran smashface deck. The other also would like to play Zoo, or at least, RG aggro. Both of them have researched the deck types, and have come to the same sad conclusions. Without Goyf, the deck just wouldn't be the same. They get discouraged, and decide not to play. They continue to play Commander casually, but avoid playing in any Modern tournament because the decks they enjoy to play contain 4x a $150 card. Even with their incomes, they can't reasonably pay that price. They have homes, families, and bills.
Heck, I'm also in that boat. I'd love to play Jund, but as long as Goyf is at these prices, I'll continue playing one of the various iterations of UWR. I really believe that Goyf's price is creating a barrier for certain MtG players. It is making UR strategies even more prominent because, well, it wins and it's cheaper. But even with UR decks kicking butt, I know that many players would drop UR decks to play GRx deck in a second if the cards were more affordable, because that is what they love to play.
But, alas, I'm not even expecting a reprint of Goyf. I think MM1 was the last we will ever see of him.

We already know that we won't be getting a goyf reprint in MM2015. The only sets the cards are going to be from are Zendikar, Mirrodin, Ravnica, Lorwyn, Kamigawa, and Alara.

Your deck is a disaster. It has no plan, no focus, no clear strategy, and half the cards hate each other.
Modern Masters (2015 Edition) takes players back to some of the most remarkable planes from recent history, including Zendikar, Mirrodin, Ravnica, Lorwyn, Kamigawa, and Alara.

So lets say the next block is about graveyard hate and Wizards reprints goyf at mythic. Prices drop to what 60?? Since the blocks rotate faster he isn't in standard as long. Does the price stay around say 80 dollars after that. People would still whine. Say it is reprinted and the prices are crashed it is now 25-30 a copy after rotation settle at 40ish. People still whine...... So with all the whining I am concluding it should be printed at uncommon and be the buy a box and the fnm promo for 3 months. Is that about right?

“Modern has provided us a non-rotating format that is far more accessible than Legacy or Vintage, but still retains many of the qualities that people enjoy in those formats—such as a more stable metagame, the ability to play and tweak the same deck week after week, and simply a much more powerful card pool than Standard.”

it should just get reprinted at rare rarity in a standard set. its ridiculous that this card still costs over 100€. sure you are right that people always cry, but there is a difference between justified crying and crying on a high level and the crying over the pricelevel of some modern staples is justified 100%. and its not only kids without money who cry about that, i for example have a job, my wife has a job. so its not like i couldnt afford tarmogoyfs or whatever, but its just ridiculous to pay that amount of money for cardboard.
im serously not saying that every card should be for free or could cost at least 5$, but if it goes above 50€ a piece it gets really stupid.
so yeah, cards like tarmogoyf should get printed the hell out of it, so the prices drop to under 50€

if you look around at other games, you don't get this weird over-inflation of single game pieces very often. this is, after all, a game... and the size of your wallet shouldn't dictate what format you're able to play in. i'm totally all for the cards having some residual collector's value and being able to eBay a few every now and then is a nice bonus.
i'd pay £20 for a card. i think in a collectable "scarcity driven" (not starcity lol) market that's fine. any more is a bit of a piss-take. like what's the point? people liek to drive prices up so that they have an elitist feeling when playing something expensive. the simple fact remained that if people weren't willing to spend more than £20 on a card, ever, then shops wouldn't be able to ask for higher prices. a tiny minority of people's willingness to pay large sums of money kind of ruins it for everyone else.

There's the crux of the issue right there- other games don;t have this kind of inflation on singles- and look at other games!
This is part of the MTG strategy guys, and from a business perspective, it's a good one. People become very invested in soemthing once they've spent hundreds of dollars on it. From a retention point of view, expensive singles are a great way to go.

Zero Chance of Goyf reprint.

"So Modern Masters 2015 is Mirrodin through New Phyrexia."
The only set that is out based on what he says is 8th Edition. So you're wrong.

if you look around at other games, you don't get this weird over-inflation of single game pieces very often. this is, after all, a game... and the size of your wallet shouldn't dictate what format you're able to play in. i'm totally all for the cards having some residual collector's value and being able to eBay a few every now and then is a nice bonus.
i'd pay £20 for a card. i think in a collectable "scarcity driven" (not starcity lol) market that's fine. any more is a bit of a piss-take. like what's the point? people liek to drive prices up so that they have an elitist feeling when playing something expensive. the simple fact remained that if people weren't willing to spend more than £20 on a card, ever, then shops wouldn't be able to ask for higher prices. a tiny minority of people's willingness to pay large sums of money kind of ruins it for everyone else.
