I think the red Mythic will either be Koth, or be cut in favor of a multicolor mythic
Way more likely to be Kiki-Jiki. Almost no one plays Koth in Modern. Alternatively, they could really piss a bunch of people off by bumping Blood Moon to Mythic.

They don't just print with competitive playability in mind. Sarkhan Vol was in MM1 and he doesn't see any significant play. Koth is a perfectly reasonable guess in Modern Masters 2, especially with red lacking mythics. I'd say Twin (and inevitably Deceiver Exarch) makes Kiki-Jiki less likely to help reduce the chance of combo-kills.
These prices have been pulled from eBay's sold lots and compiled into a handy list averaging the costs including shipping of every box sold any given day. Graphed for you guys too.
Prices on boxes continue to rise, although the volume of sold boxes has really dropped off, mostly a result of higher prices, I would guess. Tuesday set a new high in volume of boxes and total dollar value moved, but volume has trended down greatly since then, and today is not looking much better. I'd expect prices to slowly pull back a bit if volume stays this low, but I wouldn't necessarily count on that. Locally, stores are taking preorders but capping customers at 1 case per person and they all want full MSRP at $240/box.
The cheapest boxes at the moment are in the $250 region including shipping, and were all listed fairly recently.
Of note about the chart itself and how the data is collected.
The sold lots are moved to the sold results the day the last box of the lot sells, and I did not want to do the extra legwork going through 160+ results to break them down by what boxes sold on what day, so if a seller was selling 36 boxes, and they sold over three days, all would count for the day the last box sold because that's a lot simpler from a data collection standpoint. Also, no lots sold on 4/9, but the chart didn't look right with the drop to zero, so I added one box at $260 to normalize the chart.
Also notable, the only day to break below $225 (4/15) was pulled down by a single seller that sold 24 boxes at $195 each. If we cut out those 24 boxes, the other 20 boxes sold that day moved for an average cost of $244.99.
My LGS is pre-selling 4 cases (2 box limit at $300 CAD/box = $225 USD) Considering buying one, don't really need anything though. Also my Store owner said they don't have exact dates but were told there would 2 print runs.
Hm... I wonder what percentage of the cards in the set will have new art? What percentage of cards had new art for the original Modern Masters? (perhaps separated by rarity?)
Good question. If someone has the time, we could try comparing to the % that had new art for MM1. I'd expect something similar.

I believe in Canada there are 2 shipment dates. My LGS says they're getting limited boxes on the 22nd, and a larger shipment around the 29th, but they're not sure when.
So I just found out that one of mt LGS's here in Knoxville, Tn is not setting a price on MM15 boxes till more cards are spoiled. So that means all prices on MM15 for me are going to be marked up.
Good thing, I have at least one other store to choose from.
$5 cards at mythic- especially with the new MSRP - will go over like a ton of bricks.
No different than $7 packs and opening a couple of the Kamigawa dragons. I would much rather open a $5 Koth than the $2 Jugan or $1.50 Ryusei.
Well....for MM1......people had to pay 12 to 15 dollars per pack to open up a $2 Jugan or $1.50 Ryusei. Pending on the amount of printing you might be paying $17 to $20 per pack for that $5 Koth
My LGS is a tiny store that only just achieved Core status and they told me they had been allocated 20 boxes. So, there's another data point for those trying to determine the size of the print run. I honestly can't imagine packs of this selling for more than MM1 did, when the price is dictated by its scarcity then the MSRP is completely irrelevant.
Would it be too much to ask for you to collect data a week or two after release? I kinda wanna see how the price finally changes after we see how much sealed product we get in the end.
Hey guys,
does it worth it to buy a Display? I don't need really something. Only missing is a Playset of Hierarchs but I think when I buy them as Playset I will safe money.
A answer would be nice!
They are being reprinted. Should drop $15-20 each a week or two after the release. I would buy them then to save some money.

Hey thanks for your fast response.Yeah I will buy them after MM15.But it's right to buy them as a Playset instead of hoping to draw a Playset in MM15?
Are you asking if it's worth it to buy a box of Modern Masters in the hopes of getting one specific playset? If so, the answer is no. If you're planning on getting a box anyway, to draft or whatever, then obviously you're going to want to see if you open the cards you need for that. But you can buy a playset of Noble Hierarchs for less than the cost that some people are quoting for a box of Modern Masters right now, and they will be cheaper after the release (and you are definitely not guaranteed or even favoured to open a playset in 24 packs).
ETA: To be precise, you chances of opening at least four copies of a given rare are 0.06%. Effectively impossible. If you only want one, your chances of getting at least one in a box are about 33%, so still not good. Cracking packs is a dreadful way of getting specific cards, that's what the secondary market is for.
Ty guys for your answers =)
I was asking myself is it worth it to buy a box and if would I get my money that I spend on it back with the cards value but I don't think so.
Well we don't know what else is in the set at this point. But one way or another the average price of cards you can expect to open in a given booster will not exceed the price of that booster because otherwise people would just buy up packs and sell singles until those prices aligned (there's also likely a premium on sealed boosters because those can be used for drafting, especially with a set like this that is designed for that purpose). So the only way to really make money cracking packs is to get lucky.
Would it be too much to ask for you to collect data a week or two after release? I kinda wanna see how the price finally changes after we see how much sealed product we get in the end.
It's my plan to track prices for 8-10 weeks post-release, time provided.
It's very unlikely that one would get 100% returns from opening their box. Incredibly low. A playset rare? Possible, but we're talking about a non-zero sum that's closer to zero. And 24boosters, not 36.
