One of the LGS just posted on Facebook they're doing pre-order boxes for $275 CAD cash price, $300 otherwise. That's insane since that's less than MSRP with the current exchange rate.
Literally within the same hour I just signed a cheque for $15k to finish our landscaping...I wonder if the wife will notice if I "accidentally" delete the patio?

I will be interested too see how many people come back complaining their cheap orders got cancelled, due to the companies
claiming that they accepted more pre-orders than available stock.
I just heard from my LGS that it is not finalized and they may be getting a couple extra cases of mm15. He said not a lot more but this why the prices on eBay have stayed so low is some other people might have already known there getting a little extra. So they sold on eBay in a hurry fearing that they wouldn't get more then $240 a box. Which I am sure they will go up to $300
Too lazy to wade through all these pages, but I don't know if anyone has mentioned that with the number crunch, that means either Artisan of Kozilek or Eldrazi Conscription is in this set as well. I'd put my money on the Artisan honestly.
Depends on what you want. Unless MTG grows a pair and prints enough to smack speculators a good one, unopened packs are not going to be very availeble unless you are willing to sell a kidney. On the other hand if you aim is going to be the commons and uncommons which I am most likely going to do now, since MSRP is going out the window like a stock investor in 1929, then you are going to find prices low and availiblity good. While everyone fights for those mythics, most will not care so much about the commons and uncommons that they crack and will just sell them off.

I love how people assume it's speculators that are causing the problems with Modern staples. Speculators cause price spikes of cards that generally do not see play (see a lot of the Narset extra combat cards a few months ago). Modern staples are worth money because... wait for it... they're staples.

and because...wait for it...when speculators see a valuable card in a limited set, they buy out all the supply and sit on it. the day Tarmogoyf was spoiled, a group of them cleaned out my area and there was no MM1 available for the actual players. When Wizards grew a pair on shocks and fetches and TS, it worked great for them and for anyone who actually wanted to play and not speculate

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
I've been looking through price histories of the mythics on MTGGoldfish. It seems that almost every expensive card rose dramatically in price (100% or more) at the exact same time, somewhere around Theros-Born of the gods. And they mostly never went down from that point onward. What happened at the time? Why do they all seem to spike at the same time?
That's the start of modern season. When everyone is getting ready for the modern pro-tour. Its also the time when we typically get the new modern bannings and the meta is presumed to change. So people do speculate or rush to fill holes. Basically don't buy modern staples during January through May-ish if you want them for a decent price. General interest in modern spikes at that time of year.

Phyrexian Obliterator and Batterskull are the two cards I'd consider most likely among unspoiled mythics, but there's also a very real possibility of a Timmy card like that Future Sight sliver or something like that.
i just cant wait for Heirarchs so I can finish main board infect.
Hopefully we see Spellskite in the set too, but if not, hopefully the money that I'll save on waiting on Heirarchs will let me get a couple of Spellskites.
How can All is Dust be in the set when collector card #1 has already been confirmed as Emrakul? Are they no longer going with the same system for card #s?
Good eye. I personally think the only "colorless" mythics will be the Eldrazi titans, Mox Opal, and Karn Liberated leaving All is Dust out. Also why is the Mtg salvation MM 15 spoiler showing Fulminator mage as mythic?? I don't think that's really a mythic creature imo.

Basic land slot has a foil in these packs, there are no lands.

Would they happen to be located in Brampton?

Any chance you could say the LGS
Speaking of, why is Elesh Norn still lacking?
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.

The difference between Genius and Stupidity is that Genius has it limits.
I like a lot of the things I'm seeing drop in. I may be forced to spring for another box.

How often is a staple card hard to find?
