Those all sound like great commons - Whenever things like this come around, I usually focus on uncommons. Sounds like those would make some great drafting archetypes.
I doubt it. This is Wizards. The last MM they gave us pretty bad commons that don't see play in Modern or very rarely ever do. I would love for a these commons to be real though.
(edited for people like me, who don't know every single card)
Well, they need to do *something* to justify the price hike.
Better commons and uncommons is a good way to do that.

Aven Mindcensor is a really good uncommon I want to see reprinted. If im looking at packs that are 10 bucks each they better have good commons and uncommons to make it actually worth it. Also it better have serum visions at a common.
SonofaBith - Wizards was so excited about making the packaging for Modern Masters 2 recyclable, they decided to make most of the rares and all but 1 of the UC's recycle-bin ready too. Convenient!
I don't think a common should ever break a dollar, it is a common, they should be almost as easy to get as generic basic lands. an uncommon should max out at 3 bucks, and not stay there for long. the rares and mythics and tournament stuff should be the pricey ones, not the ones that should be in the bulk boxes by all rights

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
Is $220 too high for preorders at my LGS? I'm concerned that MM2 might sell for under MSRP because it's a bigger print run.
That's not a bad price. If you want to get it lower, try asking them if they'll offer a discount for payment in cash. With CC fees around 2%, you might be able to get them to knock off another $5.
Thanks for linking 'em all. That would be a killer list if it's the real deal. These boxes will go way over MSRP pretty quick if it is.
EV of $161.34 on MTGPrices high, and $108.30 on Buylist highs.
I don't understand why they would put both Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and Iona, Shield of Emeria in but only have one planeswalker (and an extremely narrow one at that)
This means the praetor cycle will not be complete.
Um, the fact that there's only one Praetor on the list means the cycle will not be complete. Why should we assume that it needs to be? Elesh Norn is far and away the most relevant, and I don't agree that it's a requirement to have a "replacement" for the dragon cycle from the first Modern Masters because this time they have so many better options that are already mythic that they don't need to fill space with reprinted cycles. There are dozens of Mythics I'd rather see in the Tezzeret and Twin slots (leaving the latter as rare, of course) before we even start thinking about the Praetors.

Concerned that MM2 might sell for under MSRP?... $220 is under MSRP.. And I think that's a fair price, I don't see MM2 boxes falling much below that if at all.
This means the praetor cycle will not be complete.

Last time WoTC put an emphasis on having a group of 5 'must-have' modern constructed mythics combined with a group of 5 mythics that appeal a more 'casual crowd'. This way you broaden the targetted audience for your product - it's the same reason Conspiracy received Legacy/Vintage staples while it was targetted for kitchen tables.
In case you haven't noticed, the praetors (except the red one) all fetch a hefty price tag these days. You are right about Elesh Norn, but Jin-Gitaxius sees both Legacy and EDH play. The remaining one mostly just EDH/cube. Having these be the mythics to appeal to 'the casuals' is only logical.
In the end, all I'm trying to say is that the posted list seems really spikey-spikesht to me. But my speculation can obviously be wrong.
If the requirement is specifically for the casual crowd then I still don't see why the Praetors are assumed confirmed. As you say, Elesh Norn and Jin-Gitaxis are both tournament playables; having these two cards be mythics intended to appear to "the casuals" therefore strikes me as illogical. If we're willing to accept that a card can appeal to both tournament players and casual players (surely the ideal situation for the design team), then honestly most of that list seems pretty solid. The spikiest unconfirmed card on there is Bob, but the Eldrazi titans appeal very much to Timmy and see their share of casual play. I said earlier in the thread that I am concerned that there is insufficient space at Mythic for all the desirable reprints that are already Mythic, and so I don't think it's desirable to clog that up by ticking boxes on full cycles. There are certainly criteria beyond tournament power for choosing reprints here, I just don't agree that the Praetors are absolute must include, especially on the grounds of casual play.
If you check Starcitygames now you will find most of the cards listed in the leak are now "out of stock" which means this list is most certainly real. Reason is SCG always holds back on money cards when they know a big profit margin is coming their way and MM 2015 fits right into that slot. See for yourselves.

if this is real, which appears to be. this is excellent, I want 6-7 of these for myself, which is definitely better than last time, and none are craptastic, I would be hsappy to see any of them, which is a huge improvement. I assume Twin is there just because it is worthless in draft, so they don't want you pulling it as much? because there is nothing mythic about it, more of a chase rare. overall, this list makes me happy

If that list is real, which it looks quite plausible, the last 2 mythics would probably be Cryptic Command and Noble Hierarch to get upgraded from rare. If cards like that end up at rare, sell prices would skyrocket.

A mirror, a shield, a promise, a great distance, and a kind word-- five ways to avoid harm.
I just don't believe $70 cards at rare is ever happening, even with the raised MSRP.
Also, why are we treating this guy's word like law? He called it on the first MM. Cool. What's there to confirm he's right again?

It wouldn't surprise me that they're focusing less on casual appeal when packs of Modern Masters 2015 are ten dollars each. If I recall correctly, the higher price tag on the original Modern Masters set was somehow related to decreasing the chance that less enfranchised/lower level players would buy these packs and get upset/confused that the set wasn't beginner friendly nor Standard-legal.

Looks like 13 mythics, isn't there 15 mythics? Making sure, is all.
Splinter Twin at mythic seems odd to me, as it really only does amazing stuff with a few creatures.
I was personally hoping All is Dust was going to be rare, but mythic is still fine.
I figured Iona would be saved for FTV: Angels, but it's good here too.
Strange that white and blue each get one extra mythic, and also that Twin is up-shifted.
