Well I want it in the set too, but I don't think wizards would put it in right after printing it in a duel deck.
You don't? It's one of the most expensive and most played uncommons in the format. If the point of Modern Masters is to increase the accessibility of the cards, there's very little reason to not print it. I could see the argument if it was recently printed in a typical set (Say, Conspiracy, for example), but not a whole lot of people are going to buy four duel decks just to get a playset of it.
They left out the part where Yawgmoth is resurrected, but has been cleansed as Yawgmoth the Redeemed, and now must awaken Chromium so that Karn can fuse with him and create what can only be known as : the ultimate taco.
Skip eating out twice a week for a month and voila remands. If $60-80 is expensive, modern is probably not for you, and MM2015 won't help because you can't likely afford that either.
Now will singles decrease? For common and uncommon yes, but only in the range of 5-10 dollars. That is being optimistic though.

So I found a LGS that is doing preorders at msrp ($240). I almost jump on it but when I checked eBay it looked like there were several sellers listing that at our very close to msrp. I assumed with all the hype it would be impossible to get them at msrp online. Should I pull the trigger at the lgs now or just wait and grab them on eBay for close to msrp after the spoiler is released?
So I want to get into modern is this a good way to go? Also will it really cost full MSRP, with most boxes you can get them for less if you preorder...
Also someone is trying to sell me an original modern masters for $340. Is that a good price or should I negotiate less or maybe just simply buy the cards I want when I deicde what deck I am building.
For myself I was lucky enough to find a box for 225 $ with free shipping after shopping around on the internet. Let's just say its going to be nuts opening 4-5 boxes come may.
Konami's game is destined for self destruction. The game is disgusting to play, games are over in 1-2 turns 80% of the time, and the product sales are only carried by children who watch the cartoon and casual players. Magic doesn't have the same appeal to kid and has a far healthier long term plan other than "if it's not stronger than the last set don't bother printing it." Everyone I personally know who was into Yugioh has left the game, and while that's far from a sizeable sample pool, I think it speaks for itself that everyone I knew who left had the same concerns. I don't know the data off the top of my head but I wouldn't be surprised if attendance for events and sales have greatly dwindled over the past 3-4 years. The game can't sustain itself for a much longer period of time, they're even unbanning some of the most powerful spells for their version of standard just because to make it even more powerful. Konami is not a brilliant company by any means, these days they get by from gambling machines almost exclusively. All their videogame talent has been fired or has left, and their card game is a sinking ship.
As someone who played Yugioh for 12 years, I agree. I quit and many of my friends quit. It continues to decline in my area and the friends I have that did remain continue to complain about it. That game owes everything to its original anime. But it's digging its own grave, fast. Yugioh has basically become a gateway game into Magic and not anything respectable in its own right. There's too much wrong with it to even bother. Outside of the original anime and its cards that I liked as a kid, there's nothing else to appreciate about YGO. It's more of a memory than a card game.
I can't believe this releases next month and we only know 4 cards we've known FOR months... kind of annoying. Anyway, hoping for a fair amount of old border cards printed in this. Especially old Legendaries.
It took me 15-20 hours of searching, but I found boxes for $225 each and bought a pair. I won't tell you where I got them, but I will tell you it's a local game shop in a smallish community in a different country than I live. They don't ship, and I'm getting an online friend to mail them to me. They only had a couple of boxes left after I ordered.
All of the local shops where I'm from are selling these for $300 CDN (plus tax, so $340), first come, first served, regardless of loyalty. I never buy cards online (until now), but my local shops are ALL the type to sell FTV sets for $100+. The local shop I've spent thousands of dollars at wouldn't let me pre-order a box of Modern Masters, and I really don't feel bad about it. Well, I kinda do, but I also feel bad about stepping on ants.
I am very excited to draft these with friends, which is exactly what I'll do. A lot of people would resell them, but I really play this game to play it.

Anyones stores taking pre-orders on boxes? Just got 1 for $200.... debating if I should buy another.
I wish, my LGS cannot even find out how much they are getting. Every time he talks to the Wizard rep all they will tell him is that they are not sure yet.

I will always firmly stand by the belief that Magic is a game first and a collectable second.

If I had to guess the only thing keeping any available ones close to MSRP is that it has not been fully spoiled yet. Once you get the spoilers it will probably never see the MSRP again.

If you know what deck you want to build, buy it as single cards after MM15 is released and the prices are on its bottom.
Because let's be honest: If you have no modern collection, buying MM15 or even the original will not get you anywhere near from building a deck. Just calculate how many boxes you need on average for a playset of goyfs (the right answer should be 20). So buying a box is mainly for the fun of ripping boosters open or for hoarding (but that nets you no cards at all, while taking your cash).
Yeah, this is the best way to handle MM15. I'm willing to spend the premium to draft MM (at least once (assuming that all packs aren't reserved for individual sale)), but the price for a pack or box just to open is too poor of a gamble for me. I'll be buying singles.
Anyway, hoping for a fair amount of old border cards printed in this. Especially old Legendaries.
Why would they print a card that isn't legal in Modern in Modern Masters?
Doesn't Modern start with 8th edition? 8th and 9th edition both had those white borders unless you got foils. It's pretty awful.
Not sure "old borders" and "white boarders" are synonymous. I'm pretty sure they meant old frame. Which doesn't make sense because they aren't going to print a card previously not legal in modern in this set. So don't expect to see any cards that were printed with the old frame to be printed in MM2015 unless that card has already been reprinted in a Modern legal set.

Anyone know the day the spoilers will start ramping up? They'll start like 2 weeks from release, right?

They were not. They were a "thank you" love letter to the card shops to help juice their incomes. They weren't distributed to large conglomerates.

I think it's a safe bet to say it will be printed. It's a staple card that has become fairly expensive.
