Dude what hell with the red offering? That is all upside! It is even decent in 1v1! The blue deck got super hosed though. Aside from reef wurm, there is a lot of chaff. Third general should have been ixidor not lorthos. And this is coming from someone that loves Lorthos.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
I'm being super MTG salvation right now but im sorta underwhelmed with the reprints. This could have been their opportunity to lower prices on cards like lightning grieves in all the decks (especially since they are reprinting the holy hell out of boots) damnation in black, crucible of worlds in red, serra ascendant in white, time warp in blue, Sylvan Library in green. I mean if we are really going for eliminating expensive cards lets freeking get going on it in a mass produced/walmart/you are guaranteed to get what you buy set.
Take the MSRP, triple the value in the deck. No more expensive cards everyone gets to play what cards they want to play. The end.
Awesome lists. My only criticism is that the blue and black lists could have used a couple solid reprints such as Time Warp or Cryptic Command and Damnation or Cabal Coffers. I know I'm asking a lot but the other lists have some pretty awesome reprints also and the demand will probably be higher. I'm sure they will add those other staples in future sets though.
Can't wait to cast Containment Priest in response to Tooth and Nail or Genesis Wave.

These are the first pre-cons in a long time that don't seem like watered down versions of a good idea. These feel like cohesive 75% commander decks that are fun to play, or play against.
For what it's worth, the opposite of evergreen is "deciduous" so I suggest we start using that from now on to refer to shroud, banding, islandhome, etc.
Fantastic decks. Overall, they really appear to be solid designs built to be coherent mono-color decks. The Medallion cycle is very welcome. Tons of staples. Can't wait to pop Containment Priest and Comeuppance into a deck. I would have liked a Land Tax reprint, but that being said, I never thought so much value would be printed in a WotC deck, lol.
My only issue, I know I want the White deck, but now I want most of the others as well!
Breaching Leviathan: o_O Lorthos' Leviathan brother from another mother! I mean, wow!! To everyone who may not have noticed, it says "steps" so as long as this is on the Battlefield, everything except blue creatures are frozen tight.
Just to let you know, they're frozen only for 1 untap step. "steps" is pluralized because the creatures can have multiple controllers and they all have their own untap step. See the wording on Sudden Storm.
They key word is "next". Contrast to the wording on Amber Prison, which does lock down a creature indefinitely.

I knew it was too good to be true. Sucks... blue got really hosed. The lieutenant though will be great in Thassa. 7 damage all day!

Does anyone know if only the planeswalker gets a giant, oversized card this time? If all three legends in a deck get an oversized card like the last two times, well... time to break out the exacto-knives.
I've been wondering that myself - I've got a Kemba commander deck that could sure use one.
I am equal parts happy and ticked off that Goblin Welder got a reprint.
On the one hand, YAY new frame, non-Judge Promo Welder!
On the other hand, I did NOT expect that AT ALL and bought one yesterday (along with a Solemn Simulacrum and a few other goodies).
Do you think that Welder's price will plummet from this, though? I am hoping not, lol
~Lil Kalki
Hah, I also bought one after seeing the red Goblin Walker, thinking it might spike in value. Oh well, I want to play them anyway, and they aren't particularly expensive currently.
Containment Priest stops Sharuum Metamorph combo, Tooth and Nail, Chord of Calling, Reanimate effects, Green Suns Zenith, Yisan. Surprisingly relevant card for Edh. I wish it didn't stop Derevi's ability!!

I have divined your fate. You shall find your nemesis, a catastrophic clash. Devastation, misery for all, the unleashing of horrible curses and ferocious powers. Ruin, such ruin that I dream each night of blessed peace, assured that the universe is in balance once more...

Well done, wizards. Well done.
People forget very quickly how well both Deveri and Prossh played out of the box and fleshed out the idea of the deck. I don't think these are that much better than last year and still worse than year 1 of Commander.
If we're being honest the Commander Planeswalkers are below the standard everyone was expecting, there are no Deveri or Kaalia here, no breakout Commanders.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.

Red and White decks are very good, and have some really potentially powerful eternal cards in them. Black has a good removal spell but not much else exciting about it, Green has a fattie and not much else, and Blue really isn't interesting at all. It's a great set of decks, I grant you that, and all look like fun out of the box. Still, Red and White seem to be the only ones worth purchasing as a whole deck at the moment.
After looking at the article, I'm a little irritated at Song of the Dryads. It's a color-shifted Arrest, and LSV uses to cards that also shouldn't exist as a precedent/justification for it (Desert Twister and Path to Exile)
