Now the question becomes: What cool equipment is getting reprinted to play around with in the White deck?
A guess for at least some combo: Sword of the Meek and some kind of sac-engine.
As for direct strong equipments, I wouldn't be surprised to see
The kaldra items (Sword of Kaldra, Shield of Kaldra and Helm of Kaldra).
Considering the reprints of all but this Sword of X and Y, we might be lucky to see Sword of War and Peace.
For a limited utility equipment; Heartseeker could be a good choice. Basilisk Collar could be another.
And then I'm not so sure about the inclusion of Argentum Armor or Batterskull. Both are strong in their own right, although Batterskull is not as oppressive here as it would be in a 20-life format. They are strong enough to only include either and perhaps not at all to balance the decks.
And then a smaller myriad of lesser equipment, such as Trusty Machete. Would be interesting to see Demonmail Hauberk, just to make Nahiri's plus-ability nullify the equip-cost - basically making a 5/3 or equipping the demonmail for free.
I'm about 95% sure we wont see a single equipment featuring +X/-Y - simply because they wont make Nahiri's plus-ability unwanted in a few instances and that I doubt they'll reprint Skullclamp again.
I am hoping we get some sort of leonin abunas type card for equipment. I could see grand abolisher making an apperance. Getting blown up during equipping suxs.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
To be honest, who cares if her ultimate can be answered. You'd only want to use her ultimate as an emergency if you ran out of any other equipment though. It's there as a contingency.
The +2 and -2 abilites are the reasons to play the card. Which is how you judge planeswalkers generally, anyway.

This is what people are ignoring. Yes, the ultimate gets blown up by every bounce spell in the world, but there is (are?) enough broken Equipment in Magic's history that the +2 and -2 (hand OR GRAVEYARD???) are bonkers.
I love when people say things like "man, her +1 is useless if you're not running equipments"
In other news, Master Transmuter is awful in decks without artifacts, and Scion of the Ur Dragon is PURE JANK if you're not running dragons.
Jesus ****ing christ
You are still somewhat new to MTGS, but it's one of the many hilarious nuances of the site. I mean, I actually saw someone complain that Cruel Ultimatum wasn't playable in a Niv Mizzet EDH deck....
But yeah, this card is bad without equipment, but in an EDH deck with 12-15 equipment and cards to support it, it could be pretty damn good. I can totally this falling into a RWU or RW Voltron deck with good results.
Boomerang targeting Stoneforged Blade token is what people are talking about.
Sure. But if someone's sitting there holding a boomerang they can target the walker in response to any ultimate anyways. I'm just pointing out that "can be answered" isn't a valid argument against any card.
Yes, I understand how priority works as was reminded last page, doesn't change that she's absurdly narrow compared to the other four walkers, isn't a good commander due to the nature of her abilities, and her ultimate which requires a minimum of 6 turns to set up is undone by a boomerang. She's meh at best and laughable at worst, and isn't even worth playing in any deck's 99 not revolving around equipment unlike every other walker this cycle.
As stated, a color shifted tibalt would have been better than this.
Just because something is narrow it doesn't make it bad. I think she'll open up some interesting deck building opportunities. Also, I don't see how the nature of her abilities make her a poor commander at all. Her ultimate is pretty bad but who plays planeswalkers to ultimate them anyways? An equipment PW in an equipment deck shouldn't be so shocking anyways.
Also, the red PW does one thing in a non-artifact deck, and he doesn't even do it all that great either. This is way better than a color shifted Tibalt, you're just overreacting for some silly reason.

I agree with you that "dies to X" isn't a valid complaint against a card, but I don't see why it can't be a valid complaint against an ultimate. It would be like if a Planeswalker ultimate gave you a global enchantment instead of an emblem.
Plus, it's a MASSIVE flavor fail:
Nahiri: I can tell you with no ego, this is my finest sword. If on your journey, you should encounter God, God will be cut.

Nahiri: ...crap.

Jace Beleren: I can tell you with no ego, their mind is now almost empty. They will be out of ideas soon
It's not a flavour fail, just an unfortunate technicality. You can kill 9/9 kraken tokens with an Unsummon. Unfortunate, but unavoidable. I wouldn't complain about that really.
Kiora's ultimate is not a 9/9 kraken token, though. It's an emblem providing a 9/9 token every turn, which I suppose is a metaphor for the inexorable tide (not to be confused with Inexorable Tide). Nahiri's ultimate is somewhat more akin to Ajani, Caller of the Pride's ultimate, which is "easily" answered by any wrath effect.
Granted, I think that even when she hits 10+ loyalty, you're going to want to +2 or -2 in most situations anyway, so I'm not that torn up about it, but I think that just underscores the point: there's really no incentive to actually try to go ultimate, which defeats the purpose of having an ultimate in the first place.
You seem upset galspanic. Chill out, she's bad and will see minimal edh play and no eternal play. Just because you are aroused by the art dosent mean others are.

Boomerang answers the PW's that give emblems too, or whatever the PW is trying to do. That was my point, it's a stupid argument.
This also shows that we CAN get Nahiri next time we'll go back to Zendikar, and potentially will. This card represents the young Nahiri, from 6000 years ago, the version that has no impact on the current storyline.
Unless she is dead, with her being a Kor that seems likely.
The Uncharted Realms article ends with Nahiri saying "My work is just beginning." I wouldn't be surprised to see her pop up in a Standard set.

Unlikely, Wizards just came out with an article on her past, which ended with
"This was our work," she said. "My work is just beginning."
After having sealed the Eldrazi, so she definitely survived sealing them on Zendikar, and it is heavily implied she is doing something somewhere.
... Hello alter!
But yeah, not Serra. Boo
Nicol Bolas, a balance of Vorthos and PowerUBR
Nath of the Gilt LeafBG
Others
Squee, Goblin of AwesomenessR
Nekusar, the Mindblazer!UBR
Vela the NightcladUB
I used to be a world champion, but then I took a wolf to the knee. And three Galvanic Blasts to the face.
Concerning when returning to Kamigawa would be acceptable

Are you serious with this? How is this this different from any other walker that has an ultimate? They're all undone by boomerang...
She is clearly intended for equipment builds.
People that run equipment decks like her.
People that don't (or people that got their hopes up for Serra) think she's the worst card ever made.
She's good at what she does.

I can totally get behind this, it's exactly why my Sydri deck was missing and gives me a new direction for the deck!
This honestly makes up for no Serra imo, this is a card I can get behind!

Those people aren't making sense then. Just about every single PW Ultimate can be answered with a blue instant. That's how the game works.
