For all those saying wurmcoil makes the deck so lucrative...wurmcoil is going to drop in price big time now, so really it isnt as valuble as you think any more.
I think being playable not only in modern but in any EDH deck anywhere as a reliable blocker and lifegain source is not going to make anyone feel bad.

It's still going to cost a minimum of $30-35 to get the deck plus if any deck gets marked up that one will. There maybe a massive drop at first as a lot of people trade in their wurmcoils for store credit to buy the deck, but I think it's still gonna be around $15 after it settles.
Ahh, i might just part with my wurmcoil from prerelease, already got the set pre-ordered.
Just saying, but the wurmcoil could end up in the teferi deck, though i am thinking the blue deck will be the most controllish.
Just hope the deck with wurmcoil isn't going o be as speculated up as TNM did in C13.
We can tell from the Numbering that the red Planeswalker will have an emblem. (possibly the white one too but pretty sure the order of the emblems is WUBRG so the Red one for sure)
Actually, the white one won't be getting an emblem since the lifelink wurm token is #33, and Teferi's emblem is #34.
So.... Anyone have any guesses as to what some cards could be, based on the token number crunch, and the fact that the article says that some tokens would be giveaways?
I was surprised, thinking the same thing. This red one is already shaping up, as little as we actually know, to be pretty good. The black one is pretty good as well. I'm not really sure what they're thinking with the monetary value on these, though... I mean, come on... Feldon, Dualcaster and Wurmcoil (especially with its sought after tokens) alone are probably pretty comfortably more valuable than the entire black deck. I thought Wizards wanted to work really hard not to make any of these an obviously more valuable prospect than the others so we don't get another Mind Seize situation? This is kind of flying in the face of that... there really isn't much in the black deck that compares value-wise, in my opinion. Especially on the reprint front in comparison to Wurmcoil.
The fact that they're reprinting Wurmcoil Engine plus the lack of high-value cards in the black deck almost makes me believe they really don't care about the price of cards included and there's some other logic at play.
Some other logic in play? Like building fun and playable decks that players will enjoy!? Like selling product by printing cards players want?
Lets hope there is some other logic in play. If Wizards based reprints (in their supplemental products even) solely on the cards value in the secondary market I would not be playing this game.
Wait....tuk-tuk is the red reprint legend? Like, arguably the worst red legend ever printed as a commander?
I don't really care I suppose, but that's just a bizarre choice. Why would they make the red reprint legend so unimaginably bad when there are plenty of choices that would have been fine?
At least Wurmcoil by itself isn't more expensive than the entire deck though! Wasn't True-Name Nemesis double the price of MSRP Mind Seize for a while?
And the what the heck is that SOLDIER token lookin' like a male Elspeth? So it's from Bant or somethin'?
That's the Soldier token from Scars of Mirrordin. Elspeth Tirel created them with her -2. I'm guessing that's why their armor so closely resembles hers.
The difference is I think they wanted to avoid New cards that could be eternal staples like TNN as opposed to reprints. Yeah Duelcaster might see Legacy but it's hard to say. (so could Malicious affliction) I'm not sure they looked much at the secondary market in building these decks outside of no $100 cards
Screw your money mythics. Sylvan Offering is set in Lorwyn.
Well pointed. I was wondering if Lorwyn would ever get some love in those nostalgia products. It seems like the most forgotten of the "modern planes". Still hoping for a Flamekin Walker on red.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I somehow find it tragic when an attacking Traveling Philosopher gets blocked by another Traveling Philosopher, which normally results in two dead philosophers. Shouldn't they just sit aside and start discussing?
"This is really exciting, so much to find out about, so much to look forward to, I'm quite dizzy with anticipation . . . Or is it the wind? There really is a lot of that now, isn't there? And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming toward me very fast? Very, very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide-sounding name like . . . ow . . . ound . . . round . . . ground! That's it! That's a good name- ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me? Hello Ground!"
Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the Sprouting Phytohydra as it fell was Oh no, not again.

It doesn't mean it won't, but we already have a Living Weapon the Germ is attached to: Lashwrithe is in the black deck.
No! No Sneak Attack! I just bought one for Feldon. I will literally kick myself in the face if it is reprinted.

Maybe you shouldn't have bought a bunch of cards that had a chance to be reprinted in this set until after it was all done being spoiled?

Commander: WUBRG Superfriends, GW Rhys Tokens, WUBRG Scion of the Ur-Dragon
Kitchen Table (now that's real Magic): WUBRG Domain, GU Biovisionary, UB Korlash Grandeur, UW Merfolk Mill
Sylvan Offering might have a place in my Ghave deck, mostly because I can exploit the hell out of it with Suture Priest, Blood Artist, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. Then I Grave Pact away the treefolk made by this.
@Moppi: Those are Elspeth's soldiers. See?

Also, ARGH, that zombie token again argh
This new what?
