Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Brilliant card. An absolute all-star in monocolor decks, colorless commanders like Karn, Silver Golem, Glissa the Traitor, and any W/X decks with Sun Titan. I need a lot of copies.

Going along with things other posters noted, possibly the most important part of this card is that we haven't seen any effect like this other than Spine of Ish Sah, which is notably total garbage unless you have a way to abuse it, and Karn Liberated, who is not only price-prohibitive but less abuse-able than Spine.
For what it's worth, the opposite of evergreen is "deciduous" so I suggest we start using that from now on to refer to shroud, banding, islandhome, etc.
Very nice, I like it! instant-speed vindicate is always welcome in my book, and giving it to everyone is fantastic news for control. No wimpy nonland clause either. Die, cradle, die!
Seems like a really steep cost on that ability to be worth it. You're telling me I can pay 7 mana and SACRIFICE this permanent to get rid of one thing one time? Or... I could just cast Karn, All is Dust, Molten Primordial, Platinum Angel, or a whole host of cheaper things that don't suck and are much more likely to win the game. Don't get me wrong here, I play mono-Black Endrek Sahr. I understand not being able to deal with enchantments, or artifacts for that matter, as WotC seems to believe this card will help, but nothing makes me want to play this card in my black deck. If I'm going to spend that much mana on any one thing, it better be doing work, and doing it now.

On turn 3 that Karn, or All is Dust aren't gonna be doing anything for you. This ramps you. That gives it utility. Also: Platinum Angel is almost never going to get anywhere near winning you any game, especially in EDH. In EDH it eats any random removal spell or effect; being an artifact creature with flying anything kills it. It's not even pressing to remove, you just have to remove it eventually.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)

A few things:
1) this is instant speed. That is a huge improvement over a sorcery speed effect like karn.
2) most of the other cards you listed aren't remotely comparable. You're comparing this to platinum angel? That makes no sense.
3) this is a dual-function card. It's a mana-rock when you need it early, and an instant-speed vindicate late. As a mana-rock, it's only overcosted by 1 for some very valuable late-game action. Your clunky platinum angel does absolutely nothing until you can cast it.
This is a great card. It fits into a deck as removal and as ramp. Personally I'm going to be very happy to slot this into zirilan. mana rock that boosts me to 5 and then gives me flexible removal while I keep up mana for zirilan? So freaking sold.
Imma go against the grain and say: will only see play in bad decks.
Nah, you're on MTGS. Saying a card is awful and will never see play is exactly what everyone says. On every card. Ever.
I suppose if your opponent just put down a Turn 3 Assemble the Legion against your Mono-Red or Mono-Black deck, your response is to... cry deeply? Sob? Weep? Scoop?

"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Not bad... would've loved it more if some color came out of it, such as "add 1 mana of any color that your general has in its casting cost"... or something like that.

Usually my response would be to tutor for Disk, or cast All is Dust, or Spine of Ish Sah, this is just one more answer in the toolbox. Not strictly better than any of them, but not a terrible card either.
As an uncommon, it may be that it is in all five decklists.
In the previous, releases, Uncommons were in three of the five decks.
I would expect they'll do that again.
As for the card, it's really, really good.
Between this, Karn Liberated, All is Dust, and Perilous Vault, pretty much every deck out there can run quality removal.

This card is awesome, but its destruction ability is far too expensive, in my mind. I know that the card is colorless, but the ability is not repeatable, and the ability of perilous vault, which is far more powerful, is less expensive than it.
