The card just extends a Red mechanic to the graveyard in a flavorful way, similar to how Blue has Body Double.
Oh, so bending the color pie is only okay when Blue does it.
Also, you shouldn't be listing the Black cards there for obvious reasons.
Red's not blue. that's the point of the color pie. If you wanted blue effects, then you put it on a blue card.
Body Double is an original ability that was never been done before. And they appropriately chose blue for it. The gold U/B cards go to show that it's very much in U/b territory since the ability first appeared, and not red--definitely not monored.

Temporary hasty clones areaRedeffect, not a Blue one. If you want them, you're going to have to pay Red mana (Or pay through the nose for a Minion Reflector).
Body Double is to Clone what Feldon of the Third Path is to Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. Feldon also has "an original ability that was never been done before," but like Body Double extends Blue's cloning abilities to the graveyard, so does Feldon with Red's. To act like they're different is an obvious double standard... Which tends to be the case when it comes to Blue breaking the color pie.
And again, if you're going seriously to use gold cards as proof of a single color's capabilities, I'll have you know Cauldron Dance shows hasty temporary reanimation has long part of Red's color pie.
"Feldon is so sad. The great love of his life, Wurmcoil Engine, is dead and he just can't let go. 'Why did you have to die, Wurmcoil Engine?'" - Ethan Fleischer
Can I just say that I love how this interacts with Goblin Welder...
Make a token artifact copy of any creature in your graveyard, then (possibly after combat) swap the doomed token to reanimate any artifact in your graveyard.
I want to put both in a Purphoros deck along with Myr Battlesphere and friends.
For the infinite combo, 4 cards is pretty convoluted... You need Feldon, Thornbite Staff, Phyrexian Altar, and a 3 body creature. Compare that with Ashnod's Altar, Nim Deathmantle, and any 2 body creature. Then compare both of those to Mikaeus + Triskellion or Deadeye Navigator + one of several land untappers or Kiki jiki + one of the cards that untaps him.
4 card combos are legit because they are difficult to pull off. 2 card combos are what people tend to complain about because they are much less interesting.
Edit: Actually it is more like a 3 card combo because the 3 body creature only has to be dead, but the fact that the staff needs to be equipped still makes it a bit difficult to pull off.
Nim deathmanle never nets you mana like the above combos, which is pretty relevant seeing as red has loads of ways to finish the game with x spells like comet storm.
I have no idea how you came to this conclusion, the two mentioned combos are totally analogous... With your version you break even with a 3 body creature (Wurmcoil Engine), with my version you break even with a two body creature (Rukh Egg). If you extend that, you will see that your combo has unlimited red mana with a 4 body creature (Siege-Gang Commander), while mine has unlimited colorless with just a 3 body creature. Also, mine can make use of some weird creatures like Triskelavus to get unlimited mana, while yours strictly needs 4 body creatures.
Reanimation in red...That is convincingly red. The only thing more awesome than this is the card is a reference to the brother's war. Wonder if this guy also made the Feldon's Cane...
Well it says right in Feldon's Cane flavor text that he found it in a glacier, but yes this is the same guy. You can even see the cane in Feldon's hand if you look hard enough
Feldon works pretty perfectly into a Kresh deck as one of the 99. The Phyrexian Dreadnought truly was the love of Kresh's life... now Feldon has a chance to reunite them... and sacrifice the Dreadnought again and again and again.

I really hope this is a hint for a reprint.
Turns out, it was!

if Wurmcoil is in Feldon's deck, not in the Black one, I will totally get one for me. Super stoked about this, the Brother's War and the Ice Age is my favorite storyline since I have just started to play. Love all the characters from that story. Still wondering who the red planeswalker will be...

Definitely betting that the red planeswalker will be Jaya Ballard. Seems perfectly fitting! I would be much happier if Slobad became a planeswalker though, since in the original storyline he gave up his chance at being one for the greater good... Goblin planeswalker would just be the greatest.

Only three of the planeswalkers are "characters you'll remember from Magic's past" and those are Teferi, Freyalise and Ob Nixilis. The red one can only be either "a character you know but maybe not by name" or "a brand-new character but from a plane you've seen before", most likely the latter.
CMDR is a great place for designers to test the waters of Red. This is where they can stretch/release Red's capabilities, because for so long, Red has always been on the short end of the stick for EDH.
One perfect example is Chaos Warp. Broke the color pie? Absolutely. But it's a realm where MaRo sometimes has no time/room to intervene. Do players love the card? Probably a majority. Red's affinity with artifacts isn't new at all. Cards like Purphoros and his lore also suggests that Red has the capability to create, and not always destroy. Feldon is of the same ilk.
All in all I'll say CMDR is the perfect place to explore Red's uncharted territory.
