Maybe he could see slight play in Imperial Painter. He may not compare that well to Goblin Welder until you get out an Imperial Recruiter every turn...
Sooooooo....he's obviously NOT a Walker. Does this dispel the notion that each of the 5 decks will have a Planeswalker commander? If so, doesn't that give blue a DISTINCT advantage? Not to mention the fact that this will be a TNN situation all over again.

Not at all. Each commander deck wil have a planeswalker and a legendary creature that didn't have a card before. So the red deck will still have a planeswalker commander, and this guy will take the slot of the legendary

Each deck has a planeswalker as a commander. There are legendary creatures in each deck as well...
But the Teferi is pretty lackluster even as a regular PW and not very good as a commander over other mono blue options, its also 6 freaking mana.
You're also forgetting that blue also has Stitcher Geralf so its looking more like each colour gets a legend with an activated ability and a PW commander card.
How is this close to TNN situation? Were you not around for the blizzard of overpriced counterpunch decks on sale due to scavenging ooze?
my friends and i have been testing teferi in commander decks sin e he was spoiled, and he is hands down one of the best planeswalkers ever printed off the middle ability alone.

Red also has a Planeswalker for its Commander. Each deck has legendary creatures like past Commander products. I don't see how that could NOT be the case.
edit: I hadn't seen the new article on the mothership. I agree it's now unclear if some decks will have PW as Commanders or not.
Feldon being in this set means they're reaching as far back as the pre-Mending era. Between this and the lieutenant angel, I'm getting more and more hopeful for Serra.
I *really* like this design- he makes a cute tag-team with Arcum Dagsson.
Given this and all the cards from M15,
it's looking like they may have swapped things up,
and Red is now secondary in Artifact Support instead of White?

Planeswalkers: Three are characters you'll recognize from Magic's past, one is a character you know but maybe not by name, and one is a brand-new character but from a plane you've seen before.
I wonder if this means that Wizards is considering bleeding Unearth type effects in to Red as a mainstay. If so, I would support the move whole-heatedly. A spark of life is short lived, but it is still life. Phoenixes are a great example of Red ability to temporarily bring creatures back from the graveyard. Basically, I'd love to see effects like Postmortem Lunge and Corpse Dance in Red, even if it just copies the creature instead of actually moving it from the graveyard to the field.
I think this just a variation on red new ability to make temporary copies.
Hmmm... it's a shame that the token creature is not colourless. Otherwise, I see no benefit to it being an artifact. It's pure flavor here with no crazy interactions that I can think of. Suddenly turning on metalcraft seems really weak. Otherwise, absolutely love the card. Red generals are doing some neat things these days.

Red has alway had artifact support, granted most of it is sac.ing your own artifacts but it has been there.

Worldgorger Dragon says hi. I can see this finding its way into Zirilan. I also like that it isn't resticted to sorcery speed as one might expect from red, so you can discard an Eldrazi or the like off a wheel and pull it in. Happy days!
If you were implying making copies of Dragons in Zirilan, note that Zirilan exiles the dragon, it doesn't go to the GY, so it wouldn't be there for Feldon to make a copy of.
Feldon also seems fun with Modular: the artifact creatures you already have on the battlefield can just continually grow while you get value out of attacking with the recurred creatures. Plus, the tokens will always be artifact creatures, so they can pick up Modular counters in a pinch, or to play in with some other synergy.
Also, any enter/leave the battlefield effects: the previously mentioned Wurmcoil and Battlesphere, plus Emrakul's Hatcher, Inferno Titan (6 damage divided however you want every turn, since the tokens have Haste), etc. Also, Kuldotha Forgemaster, Hoarding Dragon, and Summoner's Egg. Forgemaster turns your "artifacts" into any other artifact. Hoarding Dragon especially is a monster coming out of the graveyard in an artifact deck: tutor for an artifact every turn, plus get a 4/4 flier for a turn every time. Bonus if you have ways to give artifacts Flash, letting you cast them without having to wait until your next turn. And then there's Summoner's Egg, which...hoo, boy. Doesn't get much use out of Haste, but it's a repeatably recurrable way to cheat stuff onto the field from your hand. That's pretty awesome.
Token_Hunter's quickly outstripping my well of ideas, but you get the idea. There are shenanigans here. Some of them are even fun shenanigans! Just need a way to give Feldon Haste, so that he lives long enough to use his awesome abilities. Fortunately, you're in red! Haste is a thing that you can do.

i like how the tokens dont get exiled at the end of turn, making wurmcoil engine, Myr Battlesphere its best buddies.
killing a land every turn with this guy and Avalanche Riders or dudes and artifacts with Starke of Rath.
or just break everything with Bearer of the Heavens.
