METALWORKER IS UNBANNED? Braids was fair when it wasn't in the command zone. But banned all around? Same goes for Rofellos. Erayo though I can see how u can still be degenerate with her but... u need a lot of work.

The "banned as commander" caveat was fine. We're playing a complex game, and I think we can understand that a critter is legal in the 99 but not as a commander. However, I do agree with a hard ban on Rofellos.

Why out of all the broken cards would you want those two banned? Anyone can runs those so they're not really broken...it's kinda like those people who want sol ring banned.

The fact that Painter's Servant remains banned makes me a sad panda. Metalworker is a card I never gave much thought to, but now that I have, it makes sense to be unbanned.
And removing the banned-as-commanders list is not a welcome change, but it's nothing to cry about.
Also, some men just want to watch the world burn...
For what it's worth, the opposite of evergreen is "deciduous" so I suggest we start using that from now on to refer to shroud, banding, islandhome, etc.

These poor cards are just collateral damage in the dumb-ification of Magic,
which is now happening in more formats than just Standard.

The only thing that bothers me about this is that I literally just built decks that incorporate Braids, Cabal Minion and Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary. But oh well, I had a couple cards waiting in the wings, so at least I know one cut from each of those decks. Not the end of the world.
I will say that I agree that unifying the banned generals and banned 99 lists is silly if "complication" is the reasoning. If you can't handle the "banned as a commander, not as a card" qualifier then I'm not sure how you play Magic. Or tie your shoes for that matter.

He's just another powerful but entirely stoppable creature when he's in the 99.
