Diligent Farmhand is the obvious comparison. Yeah, a 0/3 body is better and the burst buffers weren't ever relevant, but its still no more playable than wayfarer's bauble ever was in mono-G, who has far better access to ramp anyway, and having a UG deck means you get that anyway
Seems like a decent card for BUG control. Jams up aggro early (along with Dragon's Eye Servant), fixes mana for your Charm/Ascendancy/Sidisi. Theoretically lets you cast Sidisi on T3, which is nice. She is amazing at stabilizing a board. I'm running a list with 4X Sidisi, Nyx Weaver, and Azban Ascendancy and she loves having early blockers that later get milled for tokens and delved away. I'm even running a very aggressive list of Delve cards (1X Empty the Pits, 2X Murderous Cut, 2X Treasure Ship), but once I get Sidisi on board I'm still getting zombie tokens while drawing 3 for U and destroying creatures for B.
I've tested the deck against Rabble Red, and even though I was running a ton of ineffective hand disruption it was almost impossible to lose curving Dragon's Eye Servant > Nyx Weaver > Sidisi. Add this card and it will be even easier to stop early aggro decks, fill my graveyard, and stabilize. I don't know if is what the Temur want or if Bant control will be a thing, but I think it works wonders for the Sultai.
That would be cool if they had "Embodiment of Summer" for G, 1R Sac for a Mountain and "Embodiment of Winter" for R, 1U Sac for an Island to complete the Temur cycle.

Honestly, I think this will still see play in Scapeshift, even with only 3 toughness. Standard isn't out of the question either, though it's certainly worse than Sylvan Caryatid.
This is the kind of card I like to play as a Timmy style player.
My current deck has Sylvan Primordial because that's how I roll. I like being able to drop late game bombs.
The trick is being able to get to that late game and for that you need to be able to interact with attacking creatures either with blockers or removal.
This guy goes well with Sylvan Caryatid to block 2/1s while serving a dual purpose as a ramp card.
Awesome little elemental I like that its name is true to its ability and art and stats and ...everything! Truly a masterpiece that fits into Animar elemental decks, some UG ramp decks, all sorts of decks I was just thinking I wish there were more fertilids, and this guy delivers!

I think this is a fine card and it will likely see Standard play. Let's look at a fairly straightforward example scenario.
Opponent's turn 1: Soldier of the Pantheon
Your turn 1: This guy
Opponent's turn 2: Swing with soldier (you can block), whatever two drop
Your turn 2: Pass with 2 mana up
Opponent's turn 3: Swing with soldier and the two drop. You block the two drop, and activate before damage
So you probably just blocked 4-5 damage and also got a turn two ramp. That seems solid enough to me.
