I'm the one who hates on people who constantly complain during spoiler season.
So it hurts me inside to say this.
This card might be the worst card I've ever seen at rare. Only hits you every other turn at best? It hinders a LOT more than it helps. I can't justify this one at all.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
So once this attacks, it attacks forever? Is there someone who can help us understand the... turtleness???

Cult of the Succubi Eating Kitten and Brotherhood of Hamsters - Zombie One/Hulking One - Brotherhood of Hamsters disapproves of Damage on the Stack amputation, the corruption of Mythics, and the "Major changes to Extended" in July 2010. You aborted our cards., but we approve of the Modern format. Even if it doesn't ha ve Carrion Feeder or Caller of the Claw in it.

Sorrow's Path was an uncommon in its only paper release. It was bumped to rare on MTGO so people wouldn't pull it as much.
And Search the City at least did something fun.
Okay, how about Wood Elemental? I can't possibly see how any creature could be worse than him.
Alright, THAT one is worse. I'll totally agree about that.
Durdle Turtle is ONE of the worst rares in MTG history.
Since when is a creature that blocks every none flier in the set and kills most of them for 5 mana a bad card? For five mana, this should only be a 3/3. I miss non aggro magic >:

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
I really don't get it. When does this thing actually do any damage?
When it is returned from exile. The card is put on the battlefield attacking, which means it is not declared as an attacker and thus it doesn't get exiled again
It's funny to read through the comments and point out all the Melvins. "I don't see the point in this ability, why would they do such a weird, mostly worthless thing?"
Not all cards have to be actually playable to still be awesome. Goblin Test Pilot says hi.

Well, this is the first time I've seen someone suggest that Hill Giant is too efficient. Unfortunately it's not the first time I've seen someone suggest that any deck with a creature in it is aggro.
This is on the same level of Lost in The Woods when it comes to horrible Green Rares. I know I am going to open a couple of these in my boxes :(. Got like two foil Lost in the Woods two boxes of Dark Ascension. FML...

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
I bet someone was sitting on this "slow attack" design for a long time, just waiting for the proper context. It makes me chuckle even though it's clearly a terrible card.

you can generally tell the easiest road to victory by how many players congregate on it; and the road of counterspells/control has been the freeway of choice in magic for quite some time.

What I find offensive is not that Wizards is endeavoring to make the game more accessible, but the attitudes of elitists who act as though no one of any age should show their face in the Magic public without first having mastery over the complexities of the game.
Well, it's a ridiculously huge blocker with a self-blink clause that allows for some shenanigans. And you never have to worry about it dying in combat. I like it and will own 2 for the novelty.
I predict I'll end up opening between five and nine of these things between sealed, draft, and purchased product. Still, nice flavor...though I wonder why it's Sultai and not Temur or Abzan.
To be honest I'm a little scared of that now I can't hide behind Doom Blade.
With Sultai Ascendancy, Sultai Charm you can make sure this guy never ends up in your hand
But really WOTC gave use a 5/9 Islandwalk Turtle. How can you complain?
Seriously though, I can't help but smile when I look at this, no matter how terrible it is
360-cube - Suggestions welcome!
When ~ attacks, exile it.
At the beginning of your combat step, if ~ is exiled, put it on the battlefield tapped and attacking target player.
At that point, you could Delve it and have it attack the next turn. Maybe they thought that was too powerful?
And yes, everyone, I can see the Sultai watermark... now. When I wrote my first post on this thread, the picture wasn't in the thread.
Alright, THAT one is worse. I'll totally agree about that.

Yeah, screw people for wanting a card that actually attacks when you declare an attack with it.
