Crater's Claw splashed into any devotion deck with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx could get big and nasty without even needing the Ferocious ability to trigger.
Is it just me, or are all these rares completely unexciting? Good, for some of them, probably yes, but... nothing really grabs my attention.
A 2/2 haster for 5 mana, in three different colors - yes, it makes all creatures quasi-unblockable, but I don't think he's okay for constructed. What is so rare about a 6/4 provoking elephant? Etc, etc...
Clever Impersonator is the only one that I really want to play, but then again what it does is not something completely new. The same about Crater's Claws.
To be fair, these are just the intro pack rares.

Old enough to know better, much too young to care.
ankle shanker is insane, being 2/2 is completely fine.
The jeskaishould give +1/+1 to all creatures instead of lifelink, effectively being the prowess lord.
But i guess that would be too strong?
Goblins power is rather irrelevant with its ability. It will do one less damage to the opponent when he lets it through, big deal. Its a curve topper that makes all your other threats damnably obnoxious to deal with.
Its power may not be a deal-breaker (far from irrelevant though), but its toughness is a HUGE deal.
Not impressed with the Impersonator. Another boring clone is boring.
It will be a bomb in limited maybe, but it has no place in constructed play.
We are half way through this set already and I've seen nothing but filler. When are we gonna get some REAL spoilers?
If it does not appeal to you, you are merely not the intended audience. An 'Omniclone' is one of the more awaited designs that wizards has finally done. And, of course these gold rares are the intro rares so they're a bit simpler and lower in power anyway. If you're looking for powerful cards, there have been plenty for many formats.
I'm looking forward to slotting it into my Prophet of Kruphix deck and flashing that bad boy into play.
Holy clones, Batman! Clever Impostor is awesome! My inner blue mage just peed his pants. I had to double check to make sure that it would actually let me copy my opponents cards. So obviously it'll be an EDH staple, but what do you guys think about it's standard viability? You can Chord for it in a RUG midrange shell so it seems like it should see play, right?
Also, dat Utter End promo. I have never wanted to win gameday so bad before.
Negative. It enters the battlefield as a copy of the Planeswalker and Planeswalker rules state that a Planeswalker enters the battlefield with a number of loyalty counters equal to its loyalty number. Ergo, it enters with counters.

Copy an opponent's Elspeth on T6 backed up by counterspells? Copy a Banishing Light that's storing away one of your bombs in a deck with little to no enchantment hate (UR, BU)? How does that have no place in constructed? I'd be shocked if this thing didn't at least see SB play, but considering its flexibility, I wouldn't be surprised to see this see plenty of main deck play.
So... Ankle Shanker has a lot of reminder text on it (and Sage of the Inward Eye has some too). I hope that's for the intro pack printing only and not on the ones that come in booster packs...
That clone is sick. I am looking forward to putting it into my bant ETB deck. The fact that I can rez it off of lark and tutor for it with green tutors is all just gravy. I cant believe they managed to put him into the 4 mana club as well. This is just great all around.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Clever Impersonator is an automatic EDH staple. I can't wait to have a foil copy...
The Jeskai promo is actually pretty good. 3/4 flying for 2UWR with a very relevant ability? Sign me in!
Any combat trick has the potential to become a game changer with this beauty in your side of the table. I'm talking as an EDH player, of course. She won't be Stardard playable.
You played JESUS?!?! I heard none of his guys stay in the graveyard, and once you think you have him beat he ALWAYS comes back to win within three turns. I like...WORSHIP him.
I really wish that Wizards would make future cards similar to Avalanche Tusker like this:
When [cardname] attacks you may choose to remove it and target creature defending player controls from combat. If you do, those creatures fight.
Sure it would suck for the purposes of pushing through trample damage (which not nearly enough Elephants have by the way), but if my attacker is able to hunt down specific prey, it shouldn't matter if its potential victim is able to block it or not.
I am not 100% on the history of clone effects in Magic... Is this the first card that can clone a Planeswalker?
Also, is this the first card that can clone either an Artifact or an Enchantment; or, clone either a Creature or Enchantment?
I tried to search for cards that can do these things and didn't have any luck, but I'm probably missing something as there are a lot of cards that can have copy effects with different variations or wordings.
Has there ever been a "copy permanent" (or at least "copy nonland permanent") effect before?
Not to my knowledge (unless you make it an addition permanent type). ex. Make Maze of ith a Creature, then clone with progenitor mimic. This is the first open cloner.
The jeskaishould give +1/+1 to all creatures instead of lifelink, effectively being the prowess lord.

The tusker is just cute in that it has provoke.

Why would it make them unplayable as opposed to slightly less advantageous?
