Well, looks like the set isn't going to be so bad after all. If we get more stuff like Crater's Claws, Omniclone, and Ankle Shanker, why Khans might be pretty swell.
Promo Uter end art is meh prefer original. Heir of the wilds promo has beter art.
Intro packs rares confirmed ( Tusker being way more fun)
MR Clone is nice,( Lets attack Sarkhan with Sarkhan(yes he is mad ( stop attacking your self ***))
Burn Spell is solid what is bad is that it can became a XR deal X because of removal but other wise is a shock that gets bigger
Georg - The clone is not good against Omni-tell. You can't copy something that enters the battlefield at the same time as a Clone.
I'm not so sure about that. They exist on the battlefield at the same time.
Wildfire is correct. You have to choose what you're copying before it enters the battlefield, since it's a replacement effect that modifies how it enters. Things from Show and Tell enter simultaneously, and since your thing hasn't entered yet, neither has your opponent's card of choice.
In other news, super stoked for the clone and the alt-art Utter End.
Wildfire is right, unfortunately. Clone has the same stipulation (and you can look it up on gatherer if you want) - because of its wording, you choose what clone/impersonator is copying BEFORE it enters the battlefield. If it's entering the battlefield at the same time as something else, that something else is not yet on the battlefield, and therefore cannot be cloned
No, it would enter the battlefield with the starting loyalty of the planeswalker copied. Clones always trigger the ETB effects of whatever they copy because you choose what to copy before the clone enters the battlefield.

Fantastic. That makes sense. I guess I was thinking along the lines of a Thespian's Stage type of copy.
Khans Standard is shaping up to be extremely midrangey. However I like the "strength in numbers" approach, most of the cards i've seen so far are ok on their own, but are begging to be broken via a developed board / advanced game state

Impersonator should be able to copy Planeswalkers, that would be great.
Um, it can?
Good to know that the Tusker is a 6/4, makes him a bit more useful, even if he most likely won't be seeing play in standard. I'm a bit disappointed with the Jeskai rare because it's just so boring ... but whatever, it's an intro pack rare, what was I expecting.
The Shapeshifter and the burn spell are obviously good cards.
i kinda think the red spell is too bad. its sorcery and deals for 1 mana just the same amount of damage than a shock, but only conditional.
i think it should have been +3 damage when ferocity to be playable.
Don't underestimate versatility. A card that can be a Shock when you need it to be or a 10 damage shot for the win is very powerful. Most likely this card fits straight into Temur, Jund or Abzban midrange decks to help replace all the Ravnica removal spells. Fireball type spells are decently powerful, and this one comes with the upside of being useful in low mana ranges.
People Ankle Shanker may be 2/2 but the guy has First Strike and Deathtouch on top of Haste...I mean Sure small body but the frigging thing can kill anything that blocks it and is not indestructible/has no first strike while being 3> power, and live for another battle phase.
The thing is a must be answered card anytime it hits the field for sure.

Draft my cube! (630 cards)
EDIT: Nath'd
What a shame.
And for 3 mana, you get a Char with no drawback. It will be played even as a sorcery, don't worry.

Nah. It ETBs as the permanent, so the starting loyalty gets copied over.

I predict we will be seeing these words in the KTK set reviews. A LOT.
New clone is pretty badass though.

It will be a bomb in limited maybe, but it has no place in constructed play.
We are half way through this set already and I've seen nothing but filler. When are we gonna get some REAL spoilers?

Ankle Shanker was fringe at 3/3, I don't think he has what it takes at 2/2.
