Stop arging on the Modern Vs Legacy disscusion....
Its point less if the guy wants to say Legacy is better let he be , he alread convinced hinself of it and all . also take it as a opinion and lets stop here...
PS: the guy forgot BW tokens , Burn, RUG (BearPunch) Scapeshift that won some events this and last year...
Also BW midrange , 8 Rack , WR lock , both tron decks , Modern Death&Taxes , UR pyromancer , UR Pyromancer ascension storm , amulet combo , add storm combo , Open the vaults eggs combo , goblins , Avatar of death & Angel grace agro combo , and other fringe decks and tier 2 decks , because lets be honest the guy just listed tier 1 decks for modern snd tiers 1&2&3 decks for legacy
tier 3 being never seen before decks that did well in one or 2 events and some are just dereivations of a tier 1 or tier 2 deck...
And i may add that modern has much more fringe decks that shows up and do well in MTGO meta but in real events none pro plays them ....
Also he forgot Legacy affinity (that may not show lots of good results but is a fringe deck that do well against half the meta)
The point I was making wasn't that legacy is better then modern, though that is my opinion. My point was that I want to see a legacy pro tour, and more legacy events. We get one or two grand prix's a year, and that's not really fair.
The format hardly matters and it is not like Modern really features cards from standard rotation either.
Legacy on the other hand with DRS and TNN featuring 2 cards of their recent products.
Only 2?
And your first statement (about standard rotation cards not seeing play in modern) is completely false.

They already sold all of those cards. Even ignoring that they promised not to reprint them, stuff like this is too powerful and breaks the game - all they can do is print even more powerful stuff which will likely make games even faster and less fun (since you do less in shorter games) actually breaking that format you enjoy so much. Didn't TNN end up in loads of decks and prove just this?
While I agree that FoW is broken the decision to Reserve list Duals was and is a huge mistake. Are the great, yes do they break magic, no way. Glad they added Modern back in but think they should throw a bone to Legacy as well.

I think that most people agree that New Phyrexia, Scars of Mirrodin Mirrodin Beseiged, innistrad, RtR, even DGM avacyn restored were all at a decent enough power level to influence Modern to some extent but most people when reffering to power level drop out or just crap cards for formats like modern are referring to current standard post rotation Theros block has been horrible for Modern with the onl card that is really important is the one you mentioned courser of kruphix which doesn't really inspire any new decks it just makes one of the best decks BGx even better so wizards is achieving precisely what they were trying to avoid. Just by taking a glance I couldn't see any card from theros block being played in more than 2% of the current modern metagame on mtgtop 8 again I could have missed one I just glanced but still there definitely isn't an abundance.
So they had ONE block that kind of dropped the ball on Modern playability. It does seems to be more intended for limited, Standard, and commander enthusiasts. I certainly don't think this is going to be a permanent thing as their customer base just won't allow it to be.
I definitely don't think they need to power creep to print Modern staples in abundance. If the power level of a decent number of cards they print simply match the power levels of equivalent rarity (non-banned) staple cards in the Modern metagame, I think they could easily shake up that metagame.
