I somehow find it tragic when an attacking Traveling Philosopher gets blocked by another Traveling Philosopher, which normally results in two dead philosophers. Shouldn't they just sit aside and start discussing?
"This is really exciting, so much to find out about, so much to look forward to, I'm quite dizzy with anticipation . . . Or is it the wind? There really is a lot of that now, isn't there? And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming toward me very fast? Very, very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide-sounding name like . . . ow . . . ound . . . round . . . ground! That's it! That's a good name- ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me? Hello Ground!"
Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the Sprouting Phytohydra as it fell was Oh no, not again.
I love the flavor text on Statute of Denial. Seems appropriate for today.
"Pyrotechnic activity of any sort is strictly prohibited. It is irrelevant that today is a holiday."

Circle of Flamemight be an interesting reprint since it effectively shuts down half of Boss Red. Might be good as a sideboard card for red decks that might have trouble with that matchup.
Edit: I really am not a fan of Glacial Crusher. I seems really out of place in a core set.
Thanks whiny limited players. Now we can't ever expect reasonably costed removal below rare ever again.
I don't what you're talking about, because limited players generally dislike removal light formats a great deal. It makes for a very poor limited environment.
Limited players actually want good common and uncommon removal more than standard players do. Super casual players like it when removal is bad.
Actually I find that bad limited players like it when removal is plentiful and/or good because it makes drafting much easier
The set has, I think, no unconditional removal so it means combat will be, like in Theros, much more engaging
Unsurprisingly, bad players have a hard time with combat since it's a very difficult and integral part of limited
They could have at least put uncommon or rare removal in there. Is Doom Blade really too strong to even be an uncommon now? Standard is going to suffer for the sake of Limited, and that is not a good thing.

How is one core set going to make Standard suffer
Hero's Downfall will still be in Standard once M14 rotates out so you'll still have your instant speed removal
You don't even play limited so why do you care at what rarity is the removal

And how is 1 good removal spell enough? And please explain why there can't be any destroy effect at any rarity that costs below 5 mana in M15?
A lot of fun, janky stuff and a lot of just plain good stuff. I'd say this is going to be a good set.

Because what really makes Magic unfun is spells! Obviously everyone wants to hit each other with creatures instead of actually using magic/sarcasm.

And can you guys PLEASE USE CARD TAGS. Or at least mention the card by name.

The set looks pretty great, the blue rare that turns things into frogs made me laugh.

Oh I thought that you meant amazing in playability. It is extremely funny. Sorry about that.

Kudos for wacky creature types!
And Polymorphist's Jest with all the frogs on it is awesome and makes me want to brew.
Is there a spell in standard that gives all creatures -1/-1?
