At 1R this would break eternal formats in half with storm probably. Still has a shot to see play (notice how insane with lion's eye diamond it is.) At a single red? Okay, break everything. One of the most interesting designs to come out of the core set so far.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
This kind of thing would really be useful for a RDW deck's late game. It's a fantastic topdeck.
It's not unrealistic to suppose you can make it to 8 lands, cast this and exile
-land drop
-burn/haste creature
-another copy of this
that copy yielding
-burn/hastey
-burn/hastey
-land
That's spending virtually one card, in the short run, for multiple damage sources. That's not bad at all.
I can't wait to see how they'll mix it up with this effect in the future. It would make a wonderful rider the way cantrip does.
Being 'worse' than draw allows it to be more aggressively costed, too.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Being cheap would make it too dangerous for older format, but the card should let you dig further to enhance the card selection aspect of it. 4 would already make a big difference.

10/10, I tapped.
this card advantage compensate for red creature.
I see what you did there.
I never imagined the color that would synergize the most with Misthollow Griffin would be red.
