They should have just let the Hivelord be a 7/7. There's no way it was that warping. Other than that ir is a brutal Sliver that makes it slightly safer to overextend.
Question: Are there going to be any slivers reprinted? or is just going to be the cycle and plus the mythic and land? because while its awesome right now it might be annoying for limited and generally hard to play with post rotation
In a sliver deck, this guy is insane. He is deffinitly going to be my new commander. Casting cost is cake with slivers, who cares about the 5/5 since he is indestructible. This things is an TANK!!!!
On a side note....I really don't like the new site at all for spoilers

They've said there will be five uncommon slivers. We already saw Constricting Sliver.
To be fair, a 7/7 indestructible creature for 5 mana of any sort is an utterly terrifying prospect, and a 5/5 indestructible is still dang good. Better sideboard some Perilous Vaults come FNM time...
Generator Servant is awesome. Great to see that unique commons like this are still core set material.
That's a clever way to bring temp mana boosts back into Red. Of course we probably won't see another card like it for ten more years.

you can generally tell the easiest road to victory by how many players congregate on it; and the road of counterspells/control has been the freeway of choice in magic for quite some time.

What I find offensive is not that Wizards is endeavoring to make the game more accessible, but the attitudes of elitists who act as though no one of any age should show their face in the Magic public without first having mastery over the complexities of the game.
Who cares about the stupid sliver, that red 2-drop is going to see play.
Monsters is going to be dumb with the 2 drop. It enables a T3 hasted Polukranos. Fortunately the two best targets for it (Stormbreath Dragon and Mistcutter Hydra) already have haste.
That red ramping creature can haste two creatures if you have enough mana to cast them both. You'll need to be careful about what mana symbols you click on magic online

I don't know. Flashing in a 7/7 indestructible from my deck with Chord of Calling seems like a pretty good clock.
What you'll need to do is first tap enough mana so that you have 1 more than what you need for the first creature, then click the card, then pay for it until the 2 colorless is left and you need 1 more colorless, then click that. You should be left with one hastey colorless to start casting the 2nd creature.
Really should say "All slivers have indestructible". They fix the crappy art mistake from the M14 slivers, but not the horrible flavor and mechanical fail of them losing their symmetry.

SARCASM You play your do nothing card, I'll play my 17 removal spells that I have in my hand at all times because I'm a L33T P4O /SARCASM
I like what he brings to the table, and the Hivelord is a strong card for Slivers.

"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

The hivelord is so beautiful... Especially for modern Sliver. He looks like he's gonna be unpleasant to play against in EDH though. I can already see every single deck commanded by that guy packing Obliterate and Jokulhaups.
The hilarious thing is that it's completely reasonable for the Sliver Hivelord to come out turn 3 or, more likely, 4.
Turn 1: Land, 1 CMC Sliver (or nothing)
Turn 2: Land, Manaweft Sliver
Turn 3: Land, Hivelord (or 2/3 cost other sliver)
Turn 4: Hivelord (if you didn't T3 him)
If you're on the play, you could have him out before a Verdict is even remotely a problem. Then you only have to care if your opponent is playing W or Curse of Piggies.
That generator servant is...quite good. Imagine the possibilities!
With satyr hedonist we now have two ways to get 5 drops out on turn two. If only there were five drops that totally changed the game... Oh hey there Keranos and Possibility storm!
Controversely, use Sliver Overlord to get the best of all worlds.

You can always just switch between them at your own discretion between games. I'm sure the deck would be exactly the same otherwise.

but it's actually a little disappointing.
It could have at least been a 7/7
The red guy is really good though,
probably good enough for Standard if not something more.
