I am wondering how this works with non-Enchant creature Auras. As the wording is different to Auratouched Mage: "you may search your graveyard, hand and/or library for an Aura card and put it onto the battlefield attached to Boonweaver Giant" vs "search your library for an Aura card that could enchant it.", it seems that it is possible to search up an Aura such as Underworld Connections.
The ability will do as much as it is able to. You can search your library for any Aura, but if it can't be attached to the Giant, then it stays where it was.
As long as you can cast him, it is pretty easy to set up an infinite combo. Just have a sac outlet like Cartel Aristocrat then cast Boonweaver Giant, putting a Gift of Immortility on him, then sac him, when he comes back, get the Gift of Immortility from the yard back on him and repeat. With something like Grim Guardian in play, that's infinite damage.
Also, I think it's important to remember that we just finished a block that has enchantment creatures, and this creature allows you to get stuff back from the graveyard as well as from hand or library. It's expensive, and likely won't be any good in constructed because of its cost, but I think the cost is justified by the fact that in the right deck, its ability is basically a reanimate trigger. Again, the cost is too high for this card to be a great card, and enchantment creatures were generally too weak to be a supportable strategy in and of themselves, but this guy can pull bestow creatures out, making sure that even if the opponent does something to him before the trigger ends, you still get a creature out of it. Also, since as I said before, he can hit enchantments in the graveyard too, so he can get back your Bestow dudes after they die. He's not a great creature, and probably won't find a home, but he's not overcosted for his effect. If the last block hadn't had enchantment creatures then he'd definitely be overcosted, but since we did have them he's essentially a free creature tutor that pays the Bestow cost for your expensive Bestow dudes, and can reanimate them if you have something you want in your yard.
Actually no, as mentioned, it doesnt work with bestow cards. They dont have the aura subtype until they are granted it by bestow, and cease to be auras again when they leave the battlefield. And since all (bar army cloak) the useful auras in standard right now are bestow, that makes it particularly atrociously bad. Remember, sovereign conscription didnt break the game, and this would never be remotely near that power.
Am I the only one who sees that this thing can potentially fetch 3 auras and wear them? This thing looks bonkers to me... Or am I just confused by the weird and/or wording?

It wouldn't see Legacy play (outside of maybe Reanimator), would struggle to see play in Modern, and would be the nuts in the format where Eldrazi Conscription isn't legal.
Maybe I'm wrong about the Modern thing since I don't play Modern; perhaps single W in the cost could make that see play in a Tron-esque deck, where you wouldn't be wasting a deck slot on any aura and probably have better things to do over an overcosted Hand of Emrakul type of thing that still dies to Deathmark, Doom blade, whatever you name. Yes I understand "dies to removal" isn't traditionally a valid argument, but I feel at 7 mana that changes considerably.
So if this dies with the trigger on the stack, nothing happens upon resolution right? Auratouched Mage was at least explicit on what happened if the creature left before the trigger resolved.
Because they didn't print that, and just for standard purposes, he's not very good. In modern he's slightly playable, but why play him over the other, better options? He's marginally playable in about three edh decks as a support card. so, meh.

*sigh* another amazing effect tied to an unplayable "fatty".
Seriously even if it was a 1/1 for 4, it'd at least see play since you could fetch some of the really big Bestow guys (like that Archon) and have fun.
4/4 for 7 is both unplayable and overkill.
Except you can't get bestow guys.

I'm less certain that this card is all that bad in Modern. Sovereigns of Lost Alara was the foundation of an entire deck with Eldrazi Conscription. Being mono-W, this doesn't seem all that tough to ramp to in a similar, or perhaps even the same, deck. I realize the advantage of Sovereigns is that it happens on the attack step which can be a turn faster, and you get exalted, and you pick the creature, etc., and it's repeatable, but I'm still optimistic... ish.
This guy seems like he is from Tarkir. I doubt there will be an aura subtheme, but Giant Monks with fancy must aches? Definitely some Tarkir flavour in there.
So basically Auratouched Mage which can also search the graveyard and hand for 1 extra, with +1/+1, with a much worse creature typing and without the failsafe in case it gets destroyed in response. It feels barely different enough to be able to be called it's own card making me feel like they should have just gone with a reprint of the mage instead. Disappointing.
Well, damn. I didn't realize that it didn't work with Bestow creatures. I suppose then that it is really just a garbage card. Pity: it could have been a card that helped make Bestow work, since Bestow mostly failed for constructed.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.

There, something this guy does that Auratouched Mage can't!
Its just a really unnecessary card
It gets exactly one Aura.
Boonweaver Giant 6W
Creature - Giant Monk
Trample, annihilator 2

Because that's what he is as far as I'm concerned!
That's a pretty big dude for 7 mana.

Gift of Immortality is tutored directly by this guy. Vish Kal is your sac outlet.
Wipe out your opponents' boards and then swing with a ridiculously huge Vish Kal.

We don't need a 4 cost Eldrazi in any format thanks.
I like Bestow, I really do, but even one fun bomb aura out of Theros would have been nice.
