Constricting Sliver
5W
Creature - Sliver
Sliver creatures you control have "When this creature enters the battlefield, you may exile target creature an opponent controls until this creature leaves the battlefield."
Slivers are often seen toying with enemies they capture, not out of cruelty, but to fully learn their physical capabilities.

That is some nice art. They've evolved the sliver form without just turning them into metal plated humanoids like in M14. A neat choice of effect, as well.
It would be cool if the rest of the Slivers were efficient and good so that they could be a usable tribe in Modern now that they printed the new Sliver land.
ART:I think that if all slivers from Shandalar becomes something between this sliver and the old ones then they will be fine
Card: Good 2nd-3rd or even 1st pick material maybe can do the constructed cut (If all the cycle is good i could see people playing 8 slevers in 2 colors deck + sliver land)

I thought those slivers looked better than the old ones, but I can see them comprising the art style to make both sides happy.

They look "better" in that they're maybe more detailed and not as stylistically limited as the old ones but Magic already has "metal and bone plated humanoid psychos obsessed with perfection" as a villain. Creative was definitely right that slivers needed to branch out in shapes but since slivers are one of Magic's unique tribes they shouldn't look like back up dancers for Phyrexia.
meh...would be awesome if it didnt cost a billion mana

Quote from Wolfman about lack of Conspiracy spoilers-
"I'd say this about guarantees that it won't be up till this Friday, but considering the current track record, the ETA is now probably two weeks after the set has been out."

Speak for yourself, if drawing *****-headed wurms makes social justice warriors cry I'll make it my favorite hobby.
One thing that's got my curiosity piqued, is if you throw out Constricting Sliver, followed by say 4 Manaweft Sliver, that takes 5 creatures out of play, but if you take the first Constricting Sliver and return it to your hand, or sac it, it's understandable that the 1st exiled creature returns to play, but what of the 2nd-5th creatures that were exiled? Do they stay exiled permanently? If so, this could make it even more valuable! n_n

Considering that the old slivers were modified by Volrath their original form is unknown. I think that they played off that idea and the slivers that were in M14 were the original or similar to the original form and the old slivers were just a piece of their former selves.

I don't think we'll know for sure until the rulings are up.

It should work similarly to Banisher Priest, in that it doesn't matter if those Manaweft slivers lose the ability, the cards they exiled will still come back when they leave play.
Yeah, looks like these abilities will be effects that were too good with the sliver density of M14. My predictions:
Blue: Combat damage draw (Curiosity)
Black: Deathtouch
Red: ??
Green: ETB Destroy noncreature non land permanent.
They have been careful not to give black Death touch but at this point it makes sense.
The blue already exists in the form of Synapse Sliver and while I don't think that they won't reuse that (the stuff they re-used was combat tricks mostly) It feels highly unlikely.
I could wish till I'm blue in the face that the green gives hexproof (even if it was a 1/1 for 7) but I doubt it will EVER happen, crystalline is nearly busted with just shroud.
Red could see the return of something like Two-Headed Sliver or perhaps something that pings when it comes into play? Maybe even Goblin Fireslinger type effect.
