Not every one, but this particular effect is much more effective as an instant, because it eats one of your opponent's removal spells in addition to drawing the cards. Would have probably cost more than 1G if it was instant though.
I have a feeling we can expect an instant version of this to show up at some point in Tarkir
In white. At one mana less.

Cards are game pieces, and should be treated as such, easily replaceable.
Cards are not money, investments, or a retirement fund, and should never have been treated as such.
Wizards made a mistake caving to speculators once, and we still pay for that mistake 2 decades later.
"Entitled:" the entire ad hominem fallacy condensed into a single word. It doesn't strengthen your argument to attack motivations, it just makes you look like you don't understand the argument.
Altar's Reap has been in the format since Innistrad now and hasn't seen a lick of play. And that spell was an instant. This is garbage.
I think you'll be eating those words before long. This is going to see play, especially with things like Phytotitan running around. It might end up being tier 1.5, but it'll be seen.

Life's Legacy is green though, typically it's creatures have a lot of power, and it can potentially draw many more cards than 2 for the same cost. Again, not being instant hurts it, but this is a better card.
How is this better? It is sorcery speed. It is variable in it's effectiveness. Reap at least is always going to be 2 cards. You can sac a token and get two cards. For lifes legacy to be better you have to sacrifice a 3 power dude and pay 2 mana at sorcery speed.

Bring back Transmute as a U/B mechanic and take your mill back to the depths of hell where it came from!

Little known fact: Green and black are different colors.
Obviously "it's better" is a subjective claim, but being in the color of big creatures, rather than small tokens, helps a lot. It's certainly not strictly better, but I think it has more potential.
Once again I'm getting that strange feeling I entered a twilight zone episode. If this card was instant it would be utterly broken are you people insane? Sac a monstroused polukranos and refill your hand for 2 mana? Even if you sacced a satyr token thats draw 2 for 2 mana. This card will see massive amounts of play. Sac a desecration demon thats being tapped down to draw 7+ cards?
Also, sacing is part of the cost of the spell so your opponent can't kill it in response. Combo this with act of treason, big ajani, ghor clan, master of the feast. I don't think people understand how oppressive this card is going to be. This+Nissa, draw 4+ cards and create 7+ mana in your mainphase?
The best card advantage green had was domri +1, now they have this monster.
People are comparing this unfavorably to Alter's Reap? Can anyone evaluate new cards anymore?
Surprised people are saying this should be an instant. That would be stronger than Ancestral recall in some cases.
Also shocked at the relative underwhelm that this card has produced thus far. This card is VERY strong, in green no less.
Obligatory can't wait to put this in Elves EDH comment.
You shouldn't be shocked, these forums are crawling with people who don't want good, or even strong cards... only undercosted, overpowered cards that warp formats, which have a chance to get banned later (rightfully so) so they can then have something to whine about.
um...so add one more green mana and make it an instant? momentous fall did more at instant and wasn't broken, in the land of eldrazi and titans no less; compared to that, this card is garbage.

Quote from Wolfman about lack of Conspiracy spoilers-
"I'd say this about guarantees that it won't be up till this Friday, but considering the current track record, the ETA is now probably two weeks after the set has been out."

Speak for yourself, if drawing *****-headed wurms makes social justice warriors cry I'll make it my favorite hobby.
Really? Was momentous fall better than ancestral recall? Did it warp the format? No, it did not, it was strong in the right decks, and it did more. Add a green to its mana cost and make it instant. As it is it should be uncommon.

This was what my mono green wants when Garruk Rotates out. The build I am looking to make is going to have so many fatties. It cost less than Momentous fall, but the draw back is it is not instant which to me is not that big of a deal.

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
I'm definitely excited about this card, the ability to refill or almost refill my hand using a creature once I start running low is definitely something I'll enjoy having in my G/W midrange. Even something as simple as a 3/3 Centaur from Fated Intervention with a Boon Satyr attached to it lets me keep a 4/2 and draw 7 cards. For 2 mana. Something I finally can be excited about (well, I liked Ajani Steadfast...but that's a mythic rare it should be something to get excited about).

It's situational, you don't always want to get rid of your guy for more card, since you already invested mana and time into the card.
If some kind of "pacifism" effect turns out in the meta, this could be played more i guess...
Not a fan of th card right now, but we never know depending on what's out there, it could combo with something for sure...
