So everyone is going to complain about the articles now not updating until 3am est? I think we should.
Yep. They just excluded the majority of the Western Hemisphere, including most of the United States which has the largest single group of Magic players in the world, from getting the spoilers immediately. Why would they do that?

If I recall correctly, the site updating at 12AM EST wasn't specifically for anyone's convenience--it was merely because the servers that run the site are in the Eastern Time Zone. I think they're planning on changing the update schedule back, but that's probably more because everyone's use to the old schedule and people hate change (this one was definitely unnecessary).

While it might not have existed for convenience, it was easily more convenient for Americans than the new schedule.
Oh, I certainly agree with you--I used to live in Michigan myself, but I always wondered why the site updated at midnight in my area when the company is in Washington. What I mean to point out is that convenience was never even on their radar in terms of when the site updates. It makes complete sense that a company site in Washington updates when it is midnight in Washington, so I don't think anyone would actually be complaining about the inconvenience of the Time Zone difference if it had just been this way from the beginning. But since that's not the case, people are so used to the old schedule that trying to change it now is like trying to swim against the current, and as such they're intending on changing the update schedule back as soon as they can.

If they wanted to change this without backlash they should have waited until after spoiler season.
I admit I didn't really hate the new design... until I tried looking up the GP Chicago coverage. God I can't imagine what logic could possible result in what they have now. Whoever is making the decisions clearly doesn't understand that the primary purpose of their site is THE DELIVERY OF INFORMATION.
This cannot be stressed enough. The fact that you have to go into the coverage ARCHIVE to find it when the event is live is just mind boggling.
Jesus they are just dropping the ball all over the place. I feel like they are just so out of touch with the palayer base at thisbpoint that its mind blowing.
Is it me or do I find that It was easier to find articles from the past website alot better. This new update, it seems that I have a hard time navigating. I think there is too much going on here. Keep it simple stupid. . .
Where do I login to comment on a card in gatherer? Have logged everywhere I could on their site/forums/wherever, and still can't figure out how to type in anything.
I'd also like to be able to login to the Gatherer, has anyone figured this out?
I also have difficulty to quickly find the new articles of the day.
The big screen above is a waste of space, the articles in the middle don't have a set order, and the articles beneath don't show if it's Arcana, Making Magic or something different.
Also, the Card of the Day seems to be just an image, without any accompanying text.
This new site is a trainwreck. And a funny thing ... they claim they did this to be more touchscreen (smartphone, tablet, etc.) friendly...and for me, the site fails to even load on my phone (either it stops loading or the browser downright crashes)

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
