So you get between 7 and 21 additional cards in your pool, but they're all 15th picks. Interesting. I was thrown off by the words "last card from each booster pack". Definitely could be misinterpreted to mean the bottommost card in the pack they're currently drafting from.
Great combo with Worldknit.
You really don't want extra cards with worldknit. You especially don't want more 15th picks to bloat your deck with.
When a pack only has one card left in it, you get that card. Simple as that. So you get everyone's last pick.

As long as you figure out a good land count, I want everything and the kitchen sink in my Worldknit deck! More fun that way. (I'd also have to be careful about land split because of activated abilities, even if color in mana costs doesn't matter.)
This set is so weird. Some of the reprints and new cards are AMAZING (either in power or coolness level) but then we get stuff like Pillarfield Ox (I would have prefered Lightkeeper of Emeria)? Granted, Lizard Warrior already clued me in but its so weird I really want to play this and see how it goes. Seems like a good time and there's enough money to make packs worth it
Pernicious deed with old art seems like a huge oversight. It's exactly the kind of non-action in card art that they seem to snuff on reprints these days.

Actually, Worldknit lets your land produce any color, not make all your cards' mana cost colorless.
Mirrodin's Core looks pretty good, it will be nice to have in multicolor EDH decks, and being at uncommon will be pretty cheap. I will probably put it in my 5 color slivers.
Exploration (also no modern frame printing)
Stifle
Misdirection (also no modern frame printing)
Reflecting Pool
Vedalken Orrery
Pernicious Deed
Mirari's Wake
Edric
Hydra Omnivore
I think that's it although there is some stuff that fairly expensive and has never been printed with a modern frame.

There is exactly one vanilla creature for each color, probably to provide a plentiful and unwanted card that Hidden Agenda players can horde.
When its a 4/6 with Haste that costs 3 mana it no longer matters what the name is, especially if you can grab enough of them.

Pillarfield is in there for limited. Obviously Lightkeeper is significantly better, but it would also make a pretty big change in balancing limited.
For those who care about such things, the ratios on the draft matters cards are either:
1 rare : 4 uncommon : 9 common (121 cards on the sheet: good) or
1 rare : 3 uncommon : 10 common (122 cards on the sheet: bad. meaning one common gets slightly short printed)
I'm hoping its the top one, but the bottom one matches the regular card rarities better. We won't know for sure until people bust open many cases (If you are opening a ton of cases, I'm very curious if you notice a short printed common. please lmk =) )

Don't worry I get this In most limited formats Ox and Warrior aren't exactly high picks things like Nessian Courser which tend to be the cream of the crop of vanillas. Of course, THIS ISN'T a normal format. It will take a bit to readjust evaluations
I do think Lightkeeper is a more interesting limited card but bumping that down to common could cause issues I agree
Excited about Pernicious Deed, Mirari's Wake, and Reflecting Pool! This'll be a blast to draft (but I think I'll tire of it after a couple months, like I did w/ the Un- Sets).
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Me too! Not because I love RW, though, but because it does my two favorite things: interact with artifacts and ping stuff.
I just wish it didn't say "with defender" in its second ability, it'd be a decent sac outlet otherwise. Still, paying just 1 to (repeatedly) put a body on the field seems great. Token Boros decks with lots of triggers will love this I think. CoughcoughCathars' CrusadecoughcoughPurphoros, God of the Forgecoughcough.
Note that Vent Sentinel is in the draft format with those defender tokens.
I'm glad to see that my city's dealers are not interested in hoarding this set because a good chunk of the rares are unplayable outside of draft. This plus the fact that it isn't a limited product means we limited lovers will be able to draft as much as we wish and that all the EDH goodies will take a couple steps down the price ladder.
This is the way WotC, make this an annual thing and 5 years from now you'll have a stable secondary market instead of the hysteria contest we have now.

Ah! In that case I'll just grab random lands.
I am quite pleased by the set, overall. I'm sad the other three Enemy Color Generals from Comm1 are missing, but oh well.
