Wait... so Council's Judgement is a mono white vindicate that exiles anything, even through protection? Holy *****, Conspiracy is going to shake up legacy more than true name did!
Coercive portal is a one-sided howling mine (basically).
Council's Judgement is a desert twister that can kill 2 things if your opponent is dumb.
Academy Elite is a late game control finisher with card advantage?

Yknow, I think I'll have to settle with exiling absolutely anything, including True-name nemesis, and let that pesky tabernacle live to see another day.
In 1v1/LegVin the Portal can be pretty safe Howling Mind for yourself.
In EDH it's a good safety valve to stop you from becoming a threat. Cause nobody at the table will let you keep your field if they have the vote to nuke it.
And you can always just field wipe with the will of the table, which is funny.
Council's Judgement is huge in 1v1. Most games it's just 'exile target nonland permanent even if it has hexproof/shroud/pro white'. Sometimes the opponent may control a permanent they also want to kill and so sometimes that will help them, but that is pretty rare in eternal these days.
Apparently Upheaval IS in FTV:A since it's a mythic out of a sudden same as all other FTV cards in this.
I think that was actually upgraded to Mythic,
as that uses the VM frame and expansion symbol.
The other FTV "Mythics" are just using the FTV expansion symbol.

No comments on the Deathtrap? It's subtly new design space, being the first time Morbid is ever on an enchantment. And just think of what it means: something dies? Oops, more card advantage for me! Don't want me to get cards? Then stop killing things... and let me kill them instead, and still get card advantage. Think of it as a one-sided Fecundity, though nerved so it's not too ridiculous (Can you imagine if only you drew a card whenever ANYTHING died? For 4 CMC?)
Skullclamp got a new nice art and was upgraded from uncommon to Mythic
I hope to see it in Conspiracy
It's not really needed in paper as there's no shortage of paper copies of the card.
Online, Darksteel's release was a total and utter debacle, leading to it being a much lower selling set (relative to other sets from the era) than you would expect. So it's not a bad thing to add Skullclamps to circulation. For obvious Limited reasons it cannot be below mythic (the card is the single most powerful limited card ever printed, more busted than Jitte).

I don't know, I think Jitte is more busted. Both are one and two, definitely, but I think it's an interesting discussion, which is more broken in limited. Can't fault you for going with Clamp, but I think Jitte is slightly more powerful.
That's not what this thread is about though. :3

Whenever someone claims to hate blue I automatically assume they're a bad player.
Well, Rishidan Port and Wasteland didn't make it in. Wasteland especially seems like a good pickup, given that it is a four of in most Vintage Stax decks, which otherwise look to be very well-supported.
I am wondering if there is a way to see the rarity of the cards. I.e. I would guess that the etb tabbed lands that pings you for colored mana might be common for mana fixing purposes (they are clearly not over the curve anymore not even for commons)

It's ridiculous that they can't put images of the cards as they will actually appear in the set on the spoiler. It's impossible to know what rarity some of these cards are going to come in at.

It's not your job to win games of Magic where you're mana screwed.
It's your job win every game of Magic where you're not.
Omg i'm so happy right now! So many awesome cards getting modern art and new art. Exactly what online needed to control some of the silly prices around *cough* LED only annoyance is that I can't get the paper copies for the few physical edh decks I own like mana drain but I'm sure they'll trickle the new arts into paper. Can't wait to start drafting!

It's not exactly a Vindicate because it can't hit lands, but the card does seem strong.
