Unfortunately, Shadowlink, you became certified after the cutoff date for this mailing. The September wave of mailings is only going to be those judges who were certified prior to that date, but whose mailings came back for some reason (incorrect address, no address, etc.) On the bright side, now that you've certified (Congratulations, by the way!) and added your address, you should be all set for the next mailing, whenever that may be.
I'm curious as to what the "dispute" in question is. I mean, I certainly don't countenance how the judge program is being run and such disapproval would have been sufficient to renounce my certification were it not for the increased need re:PTQQ requirements, but I don't think trying to bribe judges with foil lands is a means of resolving any such dispute.

Former Level 2 Judge (Retired / Renounced)
Went to a new shop from a friend's recommendation, DQ'ed for willful violation of CR 100.6b.
Same here, Exitus, I just fixed mine as well, I'm just hoping people are noting the correct cutoff date for verification. Since I was verified on June 25th, and the cutoff was July 7, I should be fine, but some people are saying the cutoff was in June, so I can't know for sure. Maybe I'll just email them and see when I get off work.

The only mention of it was that if you were involved (affected by? I forget the wording used but you get the idea) then you already know about it.
I honestly think it has to do with the second paragraph in the letter. (Pure conjecture on my part) It reads like someone got pissed about the Force of Wills or maybe the Bobs a while back and didn't recieve theirs and they needed to put a policy in writing that basically says "You have a limited amount of time to figure out what the problem is and claim your promotional stuff (6 months)'. Maybe not - but when I read the letter, that was my feeling.

Incorrect, Shadowlink you are fine as June 24th is before the cutoff date of July 8th.

Yep, I was in error on the cutoff date, as many have noted. July 7th is the cutoff date. Thanks, All! Previous post edited.
I think the dispute may be the disappointment related to the FoWs being mailed only to L2+ having certified at least a L1. Since there was no prior announcement, a lot of good L2 suddenly found themselves cut off a 700$ bonus item due to being only recently certified, or living in small isolated communities.
"Our Judge Community is awesome! Here is a little thank you to a very little fraction of it."
I can see some bad feelings arising from this. Heck, I had bad feelings and I'm not even half as good or active as many of my peers.
I agree with your point and beyond. I think that Judges being given special foil versions of cards while player rewards was suspended is inane. All Judge foils are is a nice way to get cheap labor for sanctioned events. A better tactic would be to pay Judges. Although I'm sure someone will find some way to disagree with that as well.

Its pretty easy to grasp that WotC wont pay judges outside of real big professional level.
Theres enough judges that do work because its fun to do so and getting "paid" in cards is actual a perfect way to avoid taxes and reduce cost for WotC at the same time.
If you are a student, an actual "income" in money would result in more taxes and you can be damn sure that WotC would use way less judges if they have to pay them // AND/OR the events get more expensive, as players have to pay the judges, which is also not really cool, if the alternative are simply printing promo cards (which costs pretty much nothing and sell in 2nd market pretty quickly, its simply superior to direct money).
Overall the promo program is a easy way to give out high value for low cost. The "big" factor was sending the cards to the players and reduce fraud (like shops that ordered and just sold them on ebay).
Its a pitty that the promo cards get stripped more and more, its simply the best way for WotC AND for the players/judges , it even works around local law (for example gambling law, if you get prices in promo cards, that would bypass the problem).

I dont mean to come off as sounding ignorant, i understand the system, and i realize how beneficial it is for WotC, but the Judges deserve compensation beyond "I love the game so I donate time".
EDH/Commander is a social format, right? So why don't people use their social skills to discuss what they like and don't like, instead of adopting a list with 60+ banned cards?
Well... This is a kick in the head... A couple years ago, I got certified, but it lapsed, despite taking the appropriate steps to prevent it from doing so. I figured it was no big deal, with the changes L1s couldn't work the high level events that got WotC compensation anyhow, so having the title seemed kinda pointless. Apparently getting shafted on the book-work means I don't get pretty lands. I suppose it can't be helped... Congratulations to the people who WILL be receiving them though god knows you deserve them if your community is as... diverse as mine.
EDIT: Actually, if the Q&A a couple posts up is right, it's entirely possible that I just haven't received them yet. Who knows, maybe the "compensation" they're talking about is because what happened to me isn't an isolated incident. *fingers crossed*
