I dont get why people cant understand how he wont be hybrid. The card frame is GOLD, This is a hybrid: Dominus of Fealty Note the lack of a GOLD frame...
We haven't had a hybrid Planeswalker before. We don't know what that frame looks like.
It just seems awkward to me to gain control of something that you’re targeting with another spell. Any Act of Treason type card would do the same job. What are you going to target a creature with in order to trigger the side–effect of gaining control of it? Unsummon? Doom Blade?
A suggestion for the ultimate from on another site: You get an emblem with: "Whenever a player plays a spell that targets a permanent you control, choose new targets for that spell."
I believe it both fits and makes much more sense than gain control when targeting a creature. Being limited to permanents and only spells makes it good, but not broken.
Posting from my phone so certain things might not be accurate.
I don't know much about the character dack but one of the clues was okay where do we start. Has any one tried using his home plane or maybe first artifact stolen to use as the key? I aint much for decoding nor do I recall much of what was tried but have we tried doing anything related to dack himself?
It was mentioned that it might be 7 characters long have we tried the key looting? Or other card pieces that might be related to dack like faithless looting?
Clearly, since the frame goes from red to purple and is not solid gold. Goodness people, please go do a litttle bit of research on the 20+ years of prior multi-color cards before clogging the thread with useless posts. He is U/R.
We know based on lore the first two abilities, Faithless Looting and Gain Artifact.
Let's keep speculation to the last ability.
We have the casting cost now. 1RU. You get it by entering the Konami code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, enter) on the Official Announcement of Conspiracy (decrypted). If you only see the picture of Dack, zoom out in your browser.
Oh, how I wish that emblem were:
Whenever you cast a spell that targets an opponent,
you may search that player's library for non land card.
Exile it, then cast a copy without paying its mana cost.

Well, to be fair, cards featuring the frame blending from one color to another didn't occur until 2003 with the Modern card frame in 8th edition, and it was used on the dual lands, not gold cards. Gold cards with the multicolor frame didn't appear until Ravnica in 2005; the gold cards in Kamigawa block did not have this feature.
We have seen the Hybrid frame for a PW before, on Flip Garruk
Check and mate...
EDIT - I think the one poster was on to something with the emblem that let you redirect. Like "Whenever a player casts a spell that targets (you or) a permanent you control, you may choose new targets for that spell."
I love it when websites use the Konami Code! This is shaping up to be one of the coolest promotions Wizards has ever done. I hope Conspiracy lives up to the hype!
I wonder what other tricks Wizards will use to reveal more pieces of the card.
Is there seriously anyone who grew up using that as a kid and forgotten it? Seems almost everyone I know can blurt it out on request without pausing.
Now that we know his CMC is 3 I believe his loyalty has to be 2 or 3 right?

1RU? WOOT! I feel better for being optimistic in posting that it would cost 1RU earlier in this thread.
My next optimistic guess is that Dack has 3 loyalty.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

With the set called "Conspiracy," isn't it possible that typical name/number crunching won't work?
