Since Fayden is a stealer of artifacts and enchantments to learn its powers it would be fitting if his second ability would let him take either one of them.
I haven't read the comic, but exactly, how do one steal an enchantment? Flavorwise, artifacts are physical while enchantments are magic changing the world around you, and I believed the same "flavor rules" applied to this story as well.
I don't know if they would want to print yet another 4 CMC planeswalker. I really think he will be 3 CMC. The first ability is nice, but nothing too broken. The second ability of stealing artifacts is VERY good, but situational, and the ultimate is just that, not really something that affects the mana cost to often especially if if it does end up being twincast.
I also think they really want to blow our socks off. I'm on the 3 CMC (1UR) side of the argument and dreaming for a 2 CMC (UR) Dack!
Oh and he is definitely Blue/Red. He always has been.

I can't remember a single occurence of him stealing an enchantment in the comics. He steal artifacts, and then use his powers to understand how they work and their history.
Also, everybody suggesting he could be something else than red-blue has so little clue about the character we're talking about it's painful to read.
He can in fact take the magic out of a magical artifact. So stealing Enchantments wouldn't be that bogus.

Stealing an enchantment doesn't seem like very good design, though. What does the development team want you to steal? Rest in Peace? Humility? An aura already attached to their creature? Detention Sphere? There are so few enchantments worth stealing that it would be a useless ability. Artifacts, on the other hand, are much better targets. You can steal batterskull/swords, vials, candelabra, etc.

Well, in general, you make a point, but no doubt in my mind he'll be able to steal artifacts. If he's able to steal other types of permanents remains to be seen

I don't think people realize how unplayable 4 CMC would likely make him. The vast majority of Legacy decks that are Blue don't play Jace, but they do play Brainstorm and Ponder. Why? Because 4 is a lot of mana to commit to a card that won't start gaining you card advantage until the turn after it comes down. Only slow decks can play Jace, because although once Jace takes control and you have all the card advantage you need you can just Fateseal them out of the game and ultimate for the win, you still need to be able to survive long enough for that to happen. Liliana at 3 CMC is in almost every Black deck. Because she's 3 CMC and she starts having a major impact on the game right away. This card will need to be 3 CMC of less to be playable. The 3rd ability is also not that important in terms of playability (how often do you see people ultimate Liliana, yet she's still arguably the best walker in the format).
Even if he's 1RU and 2 starting loyalty, he'd be playable. I would happily slam him down and lose him if it meant yoinking someone's Batterskull off a germ, or better yet stealing a Jitte.
Specifically because Maro's been choosing to highlight a few questions about hybrid 'walkers over the last couple weeks.
Hybrid 'walker fits with the most, perhaps all, abilities are found in both colors (Careful Study/Faithless Looting, temporary/permanent steal effects, Twincast/Reverberate) as hybrid cards should be both colors alone.

LOL Dack is definitely not 2CMC. I doubt he'll be anything less than 4, and he'll probably come in with 3 loyalty.
At four he would be unplayable, unless either the -can steal permanents, the +1 ability draws more than two cards(even at drawing three might not be good enough), or he starts at 5 or higher loyalty.
Bactgudz' s version is unplayable in all but Commander. Keep in mind that this will not be legal in standard or even modern, so they can make it WAY to good for those formats. At 4cmc, it has to be BETTER than JtMS (because 2 colored, and blue is the best legacy color anyways). With only three abilities, one of which is an ult and one which looks to situational(-2 is prob artifacts only), it needs to be cheaper

The quality of the matchup and sizing looks good. But I agree, if it's not real then why bother.
Because it helps people and leads to further discussion over the actual card? For example I'll overlay the two designs (the spoiled half and the created version) and you can see exactly how much room you have to play with text wise.
This guy is Blue/Red and we know his name and thus his number.
His mana cost could be anything, but it will involve blue and red mana symbols. Personally I love the idea of hybrid mana.

You can tell its not a hybrid because the card has a gold border indicating a gold card (Multi color)
