So the perfect curve of t1 Thoughtseize, t2 Brain Maggot, t3 Pack Rat is going to be annoying. Also, wonder if Dredge wants to use that spider in place of Satyr Wayfinder. It trades in selection for repeatable effect.
Can't see it in place of - after all, wayfinder is pretty integral for digging to more land early on, and dredge needs all the consistent land drops it can get. However, I could totally see the spider having a spot in the deck, especially if Kruphix's Insight starts being run over/along side Commune with the Gods. Not familiar enough with the deck to say what would be taken out for it, exactly, but free dump and the chance to recur an important card that you may have had to send to the graveyard (or a creature that was killed or a spell that you want to cast a second time) seems too good to pass up, at least as a 1-2 of.
I have a customer who built a deck with all O-Ring effects and called it "O-No". He is really going to like this one cause he was pretty sad when M13 rotated.

I like how the core of the deck is mostly Theros. Biggest hole that will be missing is Jarad come rotation.
Well, I expected White's dictate to be a flash Rule of Law, but I guess this works too.
Now, if we get a Grave Pact variant I think I might be psychic...
All these spoilers are sick. The cards are pretty excellent so far, but lots of throwbacks. I'm thinking either Wizards has been getting lots of requests for a Time Spiral-like set recently, or they were running out of ideas in the design process. Not that I'm complaining...my Ghave EDH could always use more Grave Pacts!

Well, Jarad and Grisly Salvage (that card does some SERIOUS work for the deck). I'm not sure, since I'm not psychic and I'm not privy to Wizard's inside info on future sets, but I'm worried that losing Jarad will be too big a blow to the deck as it stands right now... He gives some serious end game reach(especially if you have a Whip out), is a good, easily recurable creature once you had enough land, and over all just has amazing synergy with the rest of the deck.
Then again, he's run as what, a 2 of (or is it a 3 of, I don't really follow competitive Magic very closely) in the deck? I guess we'll just have to wait and see what M15 and Warlords gives us for the deck
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
Am I really the only one who wonders why they didn't just reprint oblivion ring and grave pact? Really? Just me?
Towards Oblivion ring, the reason is that you can abuse the triggers base on how you stack them to exile any non-land permanently followed by exiling a second permanent temporarily. To get around this shenaniganry they print it in its current form.
It's different templating for modern card design purposes. O-Ring and the like will never return nor be reprinted.
I love the art, but I'm still gonna call it Oblivion Ring.
Yes, I find Banishing Light a pretty underwhelming name compared to Oblivion Ring. I rather wish they had tried to find something better for a card that's guaranteed to get a lot of reprints.
So upset with the black/green spider and dictate of Erebos. I was really hoping for Dictate of Erebos to net a creature back from each player's graveyard to their hand during their upkeep, making it an EoT reajatiok spell of sorts. This... This doesn't really do anything. Sure you can kill a lot of guys but we have seen this effect before any times and it's kind of unoriginal. I'm pretty disappointed. The spider makes me upset because it exiles. Figures.
...aand GW aggro just died.
Seriously, I don't think they can print anything at this point to make that deck viable in standard.
The new Ajani isn't nearly enough.
It's got more than 10 different strategies you can choose from.
Comment about it here.
But running the Spider alongside it? Maybe. Worth testing at least.

not like o-ring, no target, bounce, permanent exile shenanigans

Many thanks to DNC at Heroes of the Plane Studios

Regarding running a 4-color deck without fetchlands:
MostlyLost on Cockatrice.

Also, yay new functional ORing reprint!

Other than being white this card has nothing in common with Vindicate.

Er, a 5 mana planeswalker was not intended for "aggro" anyway.
This post was decent, well, not really, but it had a very lazy content.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
