Choose target creature or player. Scry 3, then reveal the top card of your library. Riddle of Lightning deals damage equal to that card's converted mana cost to that creature or player.
This plus Interpret the Signs seems to hint at a cycle of scry 3 and do something with the mana cost of a revealed card.
One interesting difference between Riddle here compared with Time Spiral block is that in TPF you often had high cost things that you cast for less (madness, suspend) and that block was generally a slower format. In theros you have cards that are cheap, that you cost you more mana (essentially) in Monstrous and Bestow, and thus far it's been a faster format. So your *actual* average CC in Theros Block is lower, with your 6+ drop slots being taken up with virtual 6+ drops.
I don't think it'll be a cycle. Both cards focus on scry, and just do bigger versions of what Keranos does, both are in his colors, and both are thematically related to his whole "prophecies via lightning that aren't completely understandable" schtick. I think it'll just be the two.
I like it though. Mix with Blast of Genius for extra giggles.
I'm praying to the baby Jesus that they will give us preordain.
They won't, if we're lucky we'll get serum visions but wotc will never print a cantrip better than what is currently in modern again. They're gone the way of counterspell and stonerain due to cawblade.
Though riddle of lightning and blast of genius are going to both be in standard, Just saying. Not like I'm going to play that or anything. Nope no way not with melitis champion, not going to try to play rug ramp, nope no way no how.
msun: Knives scoop ice cream.
Highroller: No they don't, knives don't scoop. Spoons scoop.
msun: Well, knives SHOULD scoop icecream.
Highroller: We have spoons that do it. Moreover, the shape of a knife that would scoop ice cream would make it horrible for performing the functions of a knife.
msun: Highroller, you bring up spoons as though they were the utensil used for scooping ice cream.

That makes me a little sad.:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Aullios: Quite possibly, if it's a cycle. Flavor fits with Heliod.
And isn't there a weird Cyclops in Future Sight that does something with this?
Really, though, if there's a Futuresighted card that will be printed in Theros, it would almost certainly be Dawnbreaker Coronet, no?
I think that if they reprint Coronet it'll have to be mythic, and white already has four mythics (Ajani, Godsend, Athreos, Iroas) so I think it's unlikely, sadly.
I'm still hoping we get at least one in demand reprint along the lines of Thoughtseize or mutavault for the previous sets. Come on, wizards. This is cute, but toss the other formats a bone.
I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?

Prove it. The only reason that they haven't been printed recently is because of Delver.

I think the fact that UW tempo decks dominated when cheap card dig was last legal is proof enough that cheap card dig isn't safe for Standard anymore. If you don't like it, play a different format or game.

Riddle does quite a few things for red and has some synergy with Eidolon of the Great Revel. It doesn't need any min maxing to be a good card and can do a quick five dmg from revealing another copy.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

Another one ticked off the list. I always ponder when looking at my Future Sight cards.
Foil be pretty.
That makes me a little sad.:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Technically, Riddle of Lightning is not timeshifted, so it was never on "the list".

There is no Serum Visions in JOU. It would have fitted in between Scourge of Fleets (#51) and Sigiled Starfish (#52) in the cardlist.

We already got our futureshifted card in theros
