This card is awesome, but I'm always going to be dreading the situation where I'll cast this, Scry 3 Lands to the bottom, then flip a fourth and just cry.
For a fleeting moment I thought this had a CMC of 1 and that WotC had broken all the formats. As it stands just a limited card at best due to it being a sorcery. Closest comparison is foresee really but foresee costing 2 less is infinitely better.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Good for limited, might see some fringe EDH play for CMC matters or blue decks that really want to dig. Overcosted for any other form of construction though.
Barely limited playable I'd say. When I draft blue I often include Thassa's Bounty as a 1-of; that's already a bad draw spell, but at least it ensures you draw 3 cards. You never know how many cards are you going to draw when you cast this: sometimes you'll draw 5-6 and it will be awesome, but sometimes you'll draw 1-2 (or even 0).
It's not that bad. When you have 6 mana, you want to leave the finishers on top anyway, so the scry 3 is an actual scry 3. It'll prolly net you ~4 cards in an average deck (could be 6, could whiff). I like it. It loses a lot of points if your deck operates at instant speed though.
for everyone who thinks this will see play in EDH you're wrong. Also, its pretty obvious you don't play the format if you think this is good enough to see play. It's ******* awful, and stop kidding yourselves that it has a home
The only time you're going to draw 0, is if you had 4 lands on top..
Not really. For example, you can also scry and see a couple of low CMC cards and a land, send them all to the bottom to try your luck and then reveal another land. But yeah, I know you will only draw 0 in a few corner cases, I just wanted to point that (althought very rare) they exist.
its petty horrid this card when you think about it sorcery speed 6 mana cost draw that requires you to have 1/3rd of your deck to be 5 cmc or higher to get value vs opportunity which will always guarantee you 4 cards and you can leave your mana open for counter spells etc
Unless I'm revealing Jin-Gitaxius I don't wanna see this 6 mana jank.
Should've been scry 5.
Should've been like 4 cmc.
You're kidding, right? You only get +1 CA for 4 mana, there are zero cards that guaranteed give you more than +1 for 4 mana since 8th edition rotated and took Concentrate with it.

Sorcery (U)
Scry 3, then reveal the top card of your library. Draw cards equal to that card's converted mana cost.

Then I realize it says "Draw cards equal to the converted cmc of the revealed card", and it felt a bit better.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Should've been scry 5.
Should've been like 4 cmc.

Or you could use that mana to try and win the game somehow instead of gambling it on unreliable card draw.

Maybe this card sucks.
But I'll probably recommend it in any Simic-based EDH.

I wonder if there's a future sight reprint coming along.
