Choose target creature, then choose another target creature for each time ~ was kicked.
Each of them gains +1/+1 and "T: this creature fights another target creature" until end of turn.
Is this so different from the original text and so much more difficult to grab? I understand the reasoning behind (unifying set mechanics etc), but I still feel it's an unnecessary inflation of keywords that complicates the rules for nothing. Some of those keywords become (semi-)redundant with other existing ones and/or become forgotten (was there ever a fateful hour archetype?). When I see the effort put into trying to explain how devotion was something else than chroma, I come to think that those new narrow keywords are just a marketing effort, to say there's something new in the set.
None of strive, chroma, or fateful hour are keywords. They are ability words. They have no rules meaning and only serve to point out similar function of different cards.
In fact, that's the real difference between chroma and devotion. Devotion is chroma reworked into something that could be keyworded.

This is truly a great card for a green deck sideboard. Mono red aggro, red white aggro, white weenie... These kind of decks can be hard for green/ramp creature decks to deal with. Especially with Iroas, brave, etc. Depending on the meta, I see this as standard sideboard playable in G/GW/GU decks that need a "sweeper" of sorts.
They are pushing Green Heroic with this card. Any Heroic decks so far have been limited by the amount of removal you can fit into the deck as so many of your noncreature cards have to be targeting your own creatures. I think this may find it's way to constructed within a green aggro heroic shell.

There are no playable green heroic cards. That said, Mono-G aggro DOES exists but only as tier 2 - 1,5. I can see this card pushing it to tier 1,5 for good because it really does help with what the deck struffles the most. Heck, I might play copies in the maindeck because it's only bad in the control MUs.

Dude, almost every mechanic in the game is a variant of Kicker. This is nothing new.

I'm looking forward to using this in EDH...xD You could even use it on opponents' creatures as a political/chaos thing. Fun card.

that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
Nice. Although you have to tap it to fight... zzzzz
Yes, but block, tap to fight, take out two creatures with one, or four with two creatures in the right situation. Plus any heroic triggers. I see this being GREAT in limited, with possible usage in standard with the right deck.

MTG Junky... First packs being a starter of each 4th Edition and Ice Age. Good Grief, I've been playing since 1995? Where does the time go!

this is mtgs, where occam's razor is so blunt it can't cut jello any more.
Looking at this card in comparison to something like Pit Fight sure does make me laugh. Though of course requiring the creature to tap is definitely not always feasible, which limits the card a bit. The fact this card can trade at 3 for 1 or 2 for 1 though is ridiculously impressive though for any removal spell.
Easily windmill slam in limited as a pick one but other than that I can see some minor potential in standard play.
I thought slipping an occasional foil made sense, but are they really going to make cards in japanese in regular sets too now? cool card anyway, I bet this will show up in deathtouch edh decks. green always needed a green 'wrath' type effect for commander.

"Choose target creature" is not standard templating. "Target" already requires a choice. It could be "Choose a creature" but that would prevent heroic from triggering, which doesn't make sense to use as a mechanic.
Anyway, we already have many mechanics that function similarly to kicker/multikicker: buyback, entwine, fuse, overload, replicate.
so you can block attackers, play this in response, and then tap them and fight before combat damage resolves? That seems pretty ridiculous in Limited and will lead to blowouts. It is just too good not to see play in standard and could pair well with Hero of Leina Tower; but mostly a sideboard card.

Strive is an ability word, not a keyword.

this card is great if it targets any of the green heroic guys... most notably Hero or Centaur Battlemaster
It's the heroic enabler slash removal selesnya heroic has been waiting for.

"Strive" is a great way to trigger heroic, especially when priced like this. Not like it's the most relevant part of this card though.

Are you being serious?
makes me want to build a fun little casual deck with this and Vigor.
