Strive - Setessan Tactics costs G more to cast for each target beyond the first. Until end of turn, any number of target creatures each get +1/+1 and gain "T: This creature fights another target creature"
It's things like this that makes me wish Bow of Nylea gave Deathtouch to creatures regardless of attacking then a horde of weenies or tokens could trade with anything you wanted them to. As it is it's probably limited to being a great limited trick which will only have a shot at constructed if G/x heroic is a thing.
I fail to see the point of introducing strive when we had multikicker already. I know there are some technicalities about the moment the cost of the spell is decided etc, but this is oblivious to most players.

Multikicker G (You may pay an additional G any number of times as you cast this spell.)
Target creature, plus an additional target creature for each time Setessan Tactics was kicked, each get +1/+1 and gain "T: This creature fights another target creature" until end of turn.
This card has extra words, and becomes more difficult to grok, for basically no reason except to interact with a couple of narrow cards printed years ago. Beyond that, ability words are supposed to unify certain mechanics and help players understand how unfamiliar cards work without having to fully reinterpret each new card with that mechanic. If I see a card with strive, I immediately understand that I can pay some amount of mana for additional targets. That doesn't work with multikicker; it's such a broad mechanic that I have to figure out with each new card what the kicker effect adds to the card. Since WotC doesn't intend to print any other multikicker effects in the set, that muddies the unifying effect of having a mechanical link in the first place, again for very little gain.
Choose target creature, then choose another target creature for each time ~ was kicked.
Each of them gains +1/+1 and "T: this creature fights another target creature" until end of turn.
Is this so different from the original text and so much more difficult to grab? I understand the reasoning behind (unifying set mechanics etc), but I still feel it's an unnecessary inflation of keywords that complicates the rules for nothing. Some of those keywords become (semi-)redundant with other existing ones and/or become forgotten (was there ever a fateful hour archetype?). When I see the effort put into trying to explain how devotion was something else than chroma, I come to think that those new narrow keywords are just a marketing effort, to say there's something new in the set.
Mono-Green will love this. This probably won't see play in the top 3 decks (MBD, Mono-u, UW/Esper), but Green decks will LOVE this. This card just kills Mono-U and Pack rats. As a Mono-G player I can't wait fot this set to be released.

Since it has strive, I don't think so.

but it leaks the 3D equip ...

Looks playable but right now unplayable ( Maybe RG can use it just to deal with blockers or Master of waves ( but its the role of polukranos))
They totally gave this card to Japan because of Attack on Titan.
セッテッサ setessan
式 ceremony, method
戦術 tactics
"Setessan Method Tactics" is another possibility, yeah.
Maybe Setessan Ceremonial Tactics?
The words they use sometimes are so SAT-level I can't promise any name accuracy.
So, it goes like...
セッテッサ setessa
式 -n
戦術 tactics
式 is a way to express 'origin' of something in Japanese.
ah, it means "setessa style" or just setessan, got it
Yeah I was trying to get the word 'style' which I couldn't remember
Anyway 'Heroic Enabler + Inspired Enabler + Conditional multiple Creature removal' in one? Seems like a powerful rare in limit.
Machius proudly supports R_E's right to Rumour!
Soooo, 'Setessan Style' like 'Gangnam Style', right? No wonder they gave this preview to the East Asia.
