the problem i have with this card is its CMC. currently in standard the 3 slot for white is pretty filled already with ajani, brimaz, spear of heliod ,boros reckoner and even to an extent loxodon smiter as well as a few others.
1) Have a creature in play already
2) Tap out on both turn 3 and turn 4 to cast and then equip Godsend.
3) Opponent to have no removal/ no way to interact with your creature or your equipment.
1) So? If you are an aggro deck and don't have creatures in play you are doing something wrong (or losing).
2) Why? Depending on the circumstances you could but there is no reason you have to. If you have any memories of standard with equipment like the Swords you would know that sometimes the correct play is to wait until you can play and equip on the same turn (or play out the equipment early and then play creatures until you feel it's advantageous to equip). Even with the 3rd turn play 4th turn equip scenario if you don't miss a land drop you will have 1 mana open which would allow you to cast a Brave the Elements or the like to prevent any removal in response to equipping tempo blowout.
3) Seriously? The dies to removal argument is one of the poorest arguments in magic (OMG Polkuranos dies to removal and doesn't do anything special without addition mana investment, how terrible -sarcasm-) and this is just an extension of that, it's particularly poor in regards to equipment since the equipment should at least still be around to reequip later. The potential loss of tempo can be harsh but smart play and cards like Brave the Elements can help avoid blowout scenarios.
I do agree though that standard white's 3cc slot is very crowded at the moment but I don't think that will stop this from seeing play in mana W/x aggro decks as a 1-2 of, I wouldn't play it instead of a creature but I would happily diversify between cards like Ajani/Spear/Godsend.
I don't think this will be a money card by any means, being restricted to white, to aggressive decks and being legendary all count against it being used as a 3-4 of anywhere but it's far from a chaff mythic that'll only be worth $2 or less (if nothing else cool looking equipment has always been desirable amongst casual players) and i'd be happy to buy a bunch at that low certain that it'll see at least $4-5.
I don't think this is an automatic player in Standard, but it will certainly get consideration almost solely based on the fact that it adds to devotion and it's actually pretty unique in what it does. Because there aren't really any equipment out there that provide a constant buff to a creature.
Probably a 7 dollar mythic when all is said and done. Think of all of those fringe standard mythics like Ajani and Vraska, they aren't flexibile enough to remain a staple in the format but still can do something in the right deck (which is what we want out of mythics IMO).
1) So? If you are an aggro deck and don't have creatures in play you are doing something wrong (or losing).
If you are an aggressive deck you are seriously limiting your ability to cast creatures and pressure your opponent when you spend 6 mana over two turns playing and equipping Godsend. A single removal spell sets you back 2 turns which is not something an aggressive deck can handle. If you spend two turns not impacting the board in any way thats game.

The decks that want this card are likely going to be running ~23 lands. It is unlikely they will hit 6 consecutive land drops. In fact there is a good chance they will miss their 4th land drop and also require mana for mutavault activations.
As such casting and equipping Godsend in an aggressive deck will essentially take you two turns. You do not want to be bottlenecked on mana like this.

The argument is not that it dies to removal. It is that the card is slow and clunky and does not impact the board when it is played. For each removal spell your opponent has, you can add an additional turn that you tapped 3 mana to do nothing to impact the board.
I dont know if you have been playing much standard, but the tier 1 decks (Esper and Mono B) are playing a significant amount of removal so there is a good chance that Godsend does nothing for multiple turns. The third most successful deck has an indestructible god that allows their creatures to avoid combat with an equipped creature.
If you are trying to build a white ween deck to go under these dekcs you want to be presenting cheap efficient threats and top your curve with cards like Ajani / Spear of Heliod that impact the board immediately. They are much better 3CMC options.

The only reason Godsend will retain any value is because of casual demand/ flavour.
The mass exile clause is indeed not all that relevant, but the sword is still very good in Commander for decks that defend/stall. When put on a blocker, it's still basically a First Strike/Deathtouch that exiles and gets past any form of protection, since it doesn't target. Given the kinds of creatures that you'll see attacking in Commander on a regular basis, that's pretty good value.

To add to this, I think the fact it exiles without having to deal damage or target is definitely relevant in commander. Recursion, indestructibility, hexproof/shroud, and protection are pretty big in commander. Especially recursion and body double effects.
For other formats though; it's sort of niche. If I'm reading this correctly, it does sort of help white-weenie against threats like stormbreath and blood baron since it doesn't target right?
Saying Ajani is better against Black decks with above average amounts of removal is kind of funny. Mono Black can straight kill a PW, discard it or attack into it but only has discard and killing the creatures against equipment. You're looking at creatures being a minimum of 4/4 which turns your creatures into must answers quickly. A high impact equipment is more of a threat then Ajani by far. +3/+3 is a large amount and the 2 other effects are powerful. Is it enough? Maybe not, but to dismiss it instantly without testing is very shortsighted.
The card is too slow for standard, let alone formats with a larger card pool.
It essentially requires you to:
1) Have a creature in play already
2) Tap out on both turn 3 and turn 4 to cast and then equip Godsend.
3) Opponent to have no removal/ no way to interact with your creature or your equipment.
Also the 3 slot is already stacked in white. Godsend is competing with Ajani/ Spear of Heliod/ Brimaz/ Reckoner / Banisher Priest
I probably wouldnt pay $2 for this card if that was the actual preorder price.
JOU is shaping up to be equally as bad as BNG...
lol, no.
By this logic, every equipment sucks.
even Sword of Fire and Ice, if played on curve, will HEAVILY impact two turns...
godsend is an awesome defensive equipment, if you equip it into one of your dudes and keep him up to block, then your opponent simply can't attack you with just one dude your dude can block.
This card won't see play in legacy stoneblade just because Swords, Jitte and Batterskull are better than it is.
but I guess there's nothing much outside of those equipments that can change a game as much as this one can.
It's in top 10 equipments of all time, if you ask me.

A card like Sword of Fire and Ice can heavily impact a game after two turns because:
- It provides protection from Blue and Red, protecting your creature from removal and potentially making it unblockable.
- It generates extra value by dealing 2 damage and drawing you a card when you deal combat damage to a player
- It only costs two mana to equip.
Godsend is none of these things.
You have to spend more mana casting and equipping Godsend, and after being equipped the creature can still be killed by basically all removal spells in the format.
The deck that would play this is a white aggressive deck. If your plan is play it on a creature and sit back as a blocker youre basically spending 6 mana for a Sedge Scorpion.
If this card does see standard play I'm gonna guess it'll be in a white Devotion deck (possibly with enchantment theme?), because only with a Nykthos are you likely going to generate the mana to use it and further your board in a timely fashion. 3 to play, 3 to equip is slow for ordinary aggro, and these effects don't seem like they'll generate as much value as those of a Sword of X and Y, so I don't see good arguments to include it there. This is for a slower, grindier deck that doesn't have other ways of reliably dealing with problems.
This thing gets around hexproof, regeneration, protection, indestructibility, first strike, big p/t and insures that they won't be able play any creatures with the same name(s) as the exiled one(s). Not sure that it would be a card for aggro decks. Ramp or maybe control would be a better home for it. Sylvan caryatid would avoid trades while witchstalker will be a 6/6 eating away at your opponent's creatures starting turn 4. I would really like for it to be a 5 dollar mythic rare.
Brimaz? Anax and Cymede? Godsend? Spear of Heliod? Hall of Triumph? Heliod? Ioras?
I guess that deck can be named *League of Legends*
On offense the equipment almost reads "+3+3 and unblockable" (unless in chumpmode) which isn't acutally that good for 3 mana for play + 3 for equip. On defense though this card is bonkers. With Vigilance creatures it's even more bonkers because you don't have to re-equip after combat.
I could definitely see this as a 1-of in the board (or main depending on the meta) in any deck running 4 stoneforge mystic. It prevents blocking by true-name nemesis, which alone makes it good in my book. Death & taxes could easily support it, between this and spirit of the labyrinth d&t got some love.
EDIT
A lot of people are saying SoFI is better than this against TNN, you have to remember that this is a rediculous defensive card as well. You've now added a clock to match their TNN, and on top of that, if the equipped creature is untapped, they can't swing in with anything, they wanna beat with a goyf? They don't get to play any more goyfs the entire game until they waste a spell on godsend, also it turns every creature with 2 or more toughness (I wonder what 2 toughness creature a deck running equipment would use) into something that can easily block ANY relevant creature in the format barring a huge goyf or a tombstalker. I amend my statement, while this is a clock against TNN, this is also a big threat against any deck that wins by attacking with creatures.

I agree, I can definitely see it as a sideboard against TNN. I can't wait to see what this can do in standard if anything.
If it had to be white, it should have been an Enchant Creature. I really don't like coloured artifacts at all.
If it had to be a coloured artifact though, black makes more sense to me than white.
A very poorly designed card. Not even all that powerful. Slightly better than Vulshok Battlegear (if you're playing heavy white). A big MEH.

Maybe if you can force the opponent to block, Lure-style? All this does is make your creature unblockable. Well, unblockable unless they choose to chump it. It's a bigger Gorgon Flail that goes into less decks.
