Seriously, imagine this guy in a control deck. Grixis, UWR, whatever. Imagine having him out in a long, drawn out game. Now imagine how quickly he would turn it around for you once he hits the board and starts either (a) bolting creatures, Planeswalkers, or your opponent or (b) goes to great lengths to prevent you from being stuck topdecking only land by rewarding you with an additional draw. He is board control incarnate. The fact that you can make him a creature with enough devotion is just a bonus.
Heck, I could even see Mono U decks splashing red to add Keranos in there. It would give them much needed card draw AND removal.
Really powerful for EDH. Makes me want to build a UR topdeck manipulation deck for *****s and giggles. Could be good in control mirrors if that ever becomes relevant in standard.
Yeah, I guess I want one of these for my Intet EDH deck. I'm not sure about using him as general. It might too similar to Intet because of the need for deck manipulation.
At five mana this is just right for a curve topper. Yes, I would like all my topdecks to be spells, thank you. Works pretty well with hammer of purphoros, too.
Now lets see the crazy card advantage u/r instant!
Interestingly the first god we've seen that doesn't care at all for creatures. I had high hopes for this one, bringing something involving creatures in UR and expanding some horizons, but I guess UR is just too grounded in its spell-slinger identity. I'm also a tad disappointed in it from an EDH perspective, having to reveal your draws isn't great, and a free Lightning Bolt a little over half the time won't do a ton besides taking out utility dorks and whittling down life totals (annoying people in the process). Keranos wasn't designed explicitly for EDH, definitely more for other formats.
This is what any current U/R tempo builds have needed need to curve out with. They always end up stalling out with nothing else to do and not enough draw power or burn. This will allow them to keep the board clear better or just get in for that extra bit of damage.

It's better to think of this god as a planeswalker instead of a devotion god. I can't see this played in a deck that really wants to be super aggressive since he does cost 5. He can win the game on his own through damage and he flips you extra cards.

Why would you want it to involve creatures? The colors have to be different and making them all creature-centric doesn't help with that.
Interesting card, in the right deck you can hit lands and draw extra cards maybe 2/5 of the time (maybe better with scry) and the Lightning Bolt whenever you reveal a non land isn't bad either (although giving your opponent information when you are the control deck is a bit of a downside too).
I really doubt that it'll become a big deal but I can easily see it having a place as a 1-2 of between main and sideboard in a Grixis or America control deck.
I know people are going to fuss that he isn't 4 mana, but 5 is fine. Keranos here will probably find himself in Grixis or American control decks anyway, and they all aim for the long game. Drawing two cards or a free bolt is nice. I could also see some kind of Red Devotion deck splashing blue to use Keranos to give the mid/late game more strength. Keranos has plenty of potential and I can't wait to see him in action.
I really like the card, but tapping out turn 5 is dangerous in UR. And since his is never going to be a creature (as devotion is tough in these colors) he can't play defense. I guess Turn//Burn is the catch all if they land something the turn you play him. Not sure this will make UR standard viable, but who cares it's pretty cool.

Grixis Control:
Turn 1: Thoughtseize
Turn 2: Dreadbore
Turn 3: Anger of the Gods
Turn 4: Mogis, God of Slaughter
Turn 5: Keranos, God of Storms

Mogis deals 2 damage a turn. Keronas deals 3 or draws you another removal spell to keep the board clean.

Lol Mogis is terrible. Just play jace or have mana open for a kill spell.
No kidding! I'm sure it's a neat limited bomb, might not be standard viable, but for EDH? Oh, man. Some folks are gonna go right to using him as Commander (how cool are industructable commanders anyway? Answer: Very). Niv? Yes, please.
